Borimex Mexican Restaurant

Ordered this when I first moved to the area.Food was very bland.Paid like $20 almost for a fajita plate, and i had 4 singular strips of chicken in the whole entree. Beans and rice were nothing to write home about.I also ordered a few tacos. They were street style, so just cilantro and onion. Everything else was extra. The addons piled up pretty quick too.Guacamole for the chips lacked lime, and other ingredients, it was almost like just straight mashed avocado with one or two chunks of tomato/onion.Wasn't impressed.

After 3 months of driving past this place i finally decided to give it a chance. Well i wish i had kept driving. I tried the chilaquiles and nachos and both ended up in the trash within minutes. The chilaquiles tasted like it was a cornmeal lasagna with a over fried egg on top. As far as the nachos go the chips were thin and not edible and garnishes with a ton of cilantro on top and tiny slices of "meat". The pictures of the tacos on yelp look good and maybe i ordered the wrong things but i won't ever know....

This past Monday my regular places were all closed, some unexpectedly. So I wandered over to Borimex for the first time. Glad I did. The carnitas torta was really good and my dinner partner destroyed their chicken quesadilla, commenting that it was great. Chips and salsa both were clearly just made and good. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. I will be happy to come again and try some other things.

A real gem with authentic Mexican food! A rare find in Ann Arbor. We are gradually making our way through their taco menu. Al pastor, suadero, and barbacoa tacos are simply amazing. Definitely coming back here many times.

Most authentic Mexican food in this area so far! Had the Birria tacos, carne asada tacos, chicken sope and my husband had the chicken wet burrito ... all very tasty & well seasoned. The red salsa is actually hot & good flavor ! I'm from CA and parents from Mexico and I totally LOVE this restaurant !!!!

This place is delicious. I've stopped here on my to visiting in-laws in MI 3x now. Everything is great! Vegetarian burrito is excellent and my girls love the quesadillas and my husband the fish and shrimp tacos. A real gem! Some of the best Mexican food

Had the tacos Al pastor and some chorizo tacos. Next level. The table salsa is some of the best I've ever had. The food compares very favorably to the Mexican I had while living in Los Angeles. Eat here!

Food 100/100. Mexican food, rice, beans, burritos, carnitas, tacos, you name it it's there or that guy in the back can make it. The kids speak American high school...the adults speak Mexican/spanish. I didn't recognize the dialect but definitely Spanish origin.This place is dam good food!!! Don't let a language barrier stop you from smashing tacos!!! Fajitas! And spicy stuff! I might go back in for seconds as I write this review....but I'm stuffed. They got diners options from like 10 bucks to 21 bucks. You can fill up your belly and get a drink for a 20 here with change for tip!

This is our family's favorite go-to Mexican restaurant. My daughter always gets the chicken tacos with rice and beans. The tortas are great as well and they have a fantastic California burrito.

Some of the best authentic Mexican Food I've ever had. Stopped here passing through and will need to stop again!
