Bob's Big Boy

Living in Florida now, I miss Big Boy. My friend told me a new Big Boy opened in Farmington. We went there for lunch today. The owner welcomed us and showed us you order at the counter, which is a new concept for Big Boy. We ordered a Big Boy combo and the hot fudge ice cream cake. Yum. The burger was as good as I remember! The waffle fries were fun and delicious. The star of the show was definitely dessert. The hot fudge ice cream cake was truly delicious and decadent and we left content and happy. It was as wonderful as I remember and recommend this Big Boy experience highly.

This was our first time trying this fast food. The wait wasn't long at the drive thru and they were quick with the food. The burger was all right. We are not fans of their fries as it was soggy so I personally would not recommend it.

The milkshake was good. I had a chocolate/strawberry (mixed) milkshake. The burger was good along with the waffle fries. It wasn't quite like the big boy sandwich I'm use to (could've been a little juicier). but it was decent. Nothing extraordinary, but overall good. The service was good. They were very informative and friendly. I had to go to the counter to place my order and they give you a number and you pick your seat. They'll bring it to you. The ambiance was pleasant. The restaurant was clean and customers were definitely coming in. They also have a drive-thru and it was quite a few cars in line. Overall, I'll be back to try something else.

I really wanted to love this new addition to Farmington. Less than 5 minutes to order and get your food from the drive-thru. Which might explain the stale waffle fries. I don't like waffle fries to begin with, but I really don't like stale and slightly warm ones. Fresh would have been a lot better. I don't remember what the cost was for the upgrade to onion rings was. My fish sandwich was greasy, and I think double fried as the fish was chewy and dry. The bed of lettuce was less desirable. The bun was toasted and looked good. I can not eat the bread, but I would try if the sandwich was a little more appealing. My ice tea was good. This was $11.61 and to be completely honest I would rather have had a Filet o'fish. Sorry BOB

I visited this Big Boy today. The restaurant is fairly new. It was spotless and very clean. It's more like a fast food restaurant. The prices seem to be a little higher than other Big Boys. The food was fine, but not like the traditional Big Boys. I had the Slim Jim and it was not grilled like I have had it.

I was excited to go to big boys- I hadn't been for years. I was surprised that it was more fast food- order at the counter and they bring it to you- but I was hungry. I ordered a Slim Jim and it was so good. My daughter ordered the Caesar chicken wrap and also liked it. We got a chocolate shake and it did not disappoint! I'd go again.

I love supporting local businesses, but this Bob's big boys I've been through twice and I love big boys will not go back young kid running the place. Don't understand how to cook so sorry for that.

My wife and I ate at the downtown Farmington, Michigan tonight Feb. 23, 2025. We both had very terrible meals. The onion rings were overcooked and had no taste. Both of our salads had rusty lettuce pieces in it and the salad overall was not very fresh. My Big Boy hamburger was not warm at all and should have been served hot. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we expected better quality meals for the $40 we paid. It would be great if this restaurant was managed better. I usually don't give bad reviews but I felt tonight's experience should be reported.

Went there for lunch normally get a fish sandwich and cheese sticks. The meal was not good. Two of the fried cheese sticks did not have cheese inside. Opened the fish sandwich and the two small fish filets seemed to be refried from yesterday. The worst meal I had in a while. Fish was hard and tasteless. I called to complain and they did offer to remake it. Definitely will not be back. Plus it was not cheap 20.00 down the drain.
