Boba Chai

I came here with a friend and we had a great time! Nice spot to chill and chat. We each got teas and shared a bubble waffle. The teas were really refreshing and clean tasting (if that makes sense lol) and I loved them. And the bubble waffle was delicious! It came out quickly and was perfectly warm and with the ice cream on top, it was just amazing. I will definitely be back.Side note! All the options are halal so it's a great option if you eat halal or have friends that do :) We also had some allergy questions and the person working was really nice and took the time to double check ingredients for us.

Been here twice now, tasty both times. Love that they use jasmine tea and that you can actually taste the tea. I'm a bit basic, I always get lychee fruit tea (lychee jelly). Kinda pricey and the drinks were more on the warm side even though we didn't customize ice level. Still a solid place to get your boba cravings from; probably one of the best option in Utica. I'd definitely come back to try other drinks on their menu.

Boba Chai is another first wave-type boba shop that mainly relies on powders and syrups to flavor their drinks. These type of establishments tend to be average to below average in drink quality, but I've found some that have pleasantly surprised me. I decided to give Boba Chai a try since I was in the area over the weekend.Original Milk Tea, 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($5.99) - Standard size is 16oz. I found this drink to be super sweet, as if they put in double the sugar instead of 50% as requested. I ended having to drive home and dilute the drink with assam tea to get it to a more acceptable level. The drink is basically a mixture of oat milk, pre-brewed tea, and some powder and liquid sweetener. There's a certain spiced earthy taste that kind of reminds me of coffee a bit. The boba here is much better than I thought it would be going in. It's a bit too hard, but still maintains a good chewiness throughout. It's not soaked in anything, so when you're chewing the boba it tastes bland in comparison to the super sweet drink. Bathrooms: One unisex room in the back.I don't usually comment on decor, but I thought the interior was really dark. It didn't help that it was a cloudy and rainy day. Maybe it looks better at night?They do have a loyalty card where you can get a free drink after purchasing six. That's quite a bit more generous than most other places that require ten or more drinks. I personally wouldn't visit Boba Chai again but if you're in town and want a sweet drink, I guess you can give it a try.

First time going here, have only tried one tea. But I have to say the best tea in the area. The honey dew tea was full of flavour, no other honey dew tea has tasted this great. The tapioca was fresh and softest tapioca. Not hard, not super chewy. It was excellent, go try this place today. The guy making the tea was super nice and easy to talk to. The place looks great on the inside as well, they also appear to have some games that you can play.

Interiors really cute several tables, outlets, and Wi-Fi access. Got a large mango fruit tea with tapioca ~$6 Drink is not watered down but taste similar to juice 8/10 tapioca is soft and chewy but no sweet taste 7/10. Overall solid drink 8/10 would come again.

My family and I drove up to Boba Chai this afternoon shortly after they opened. My two young girls loved the idea of bubble tea, so we decided to give them a try. Unfortunately I have quite a few food allergies, so before going I reached out to them on Instagram. They were fantastic at telling me what products would be safe for me to drink, and I genuinely appreciated their product knowledge. When walking inside, I was instantly impressed with the clean, open and relaxing atmosphere. They had comfortable seating options, either couches or tables, games to play at the tables (chess, connect four...), and a wall set up for perfect photo opps. The employee at the counter greeted us right away. He was friendly, helpful and considerate. They don't have a huge menu, but the mix and match options of juices, teas, poppers, jelly and boba, hot or cold, makes it almost endless. The employee was patient while my girls made their choices, and even talked them through what he was doing as they watched him make their drinks behind the counter. Bonus that they vacuum seal a lid on your drink before handing it to you. Found it to be a great help in preventing spills by my kids. We all agreed that the drinks were unique and delicious. We will definitely be going back to try something else.

Best Boba Tea I've had in a while. Service was really friendly and quick. It's also a cute place to have a first date, maybe study, and they even have card games. They do have exotic snacks and other treats if you're feeling a little hungry. Definitely recommend.
