Only the very best view of Gordie Howe Bridge contribution across the street. A decades old Classic Delray Bar Restaurant with Mexican Grandma in the kitchen making Authentic Mexican food. Known for the Fabolous Tacos, Burrito and Birria on the weekends. This place filled with bridge workers and long time customers from around Metro Detroit. Truly a hidden Gem you must visit, a throwback in time 1940 era Bar interior and beautiful patio out back. A cooler filled with all Mexican Beer, no nasty Bud Light here . She had a favorite Chicken n Cheese Quesadilla, me 3 Al Pastor Tacos always spot on. The biggest Bestest Burrito in Sw Detroit only 8 bucks so marvelous filled with Al Pastor could only eat half. It's a mega deal 8 bucks to feed two hungry folks Wowed. So step back in time for a visit, great Food service and prices with outstanding views of bridge construction. #blackhorsecantina #gordiehowebridge #delraymi #burrito #tacotuesday #hiddengem #eatswdetroit #downriverfriendseat @black_horse_cantina

Great little place had to stop in for a cold beer. 11am on a work day, why not. I want to come back to really enjoy it. Augi was a great guy and the owner were both talkative and enjoyable. Looking forward to come back and try the food

Very cool dive bar in the middle of nowhere... driving down Jefferson and saw this place so we turned around and went in. Simple beer choices with a cool vibe!

Two pool tables, cold brewskis, a juke with plenty of dancing space. A pair of TVs and a long ass bar top. Dark, friendly, and an easy vibe. Really great place to grab an after-lunch beer. Ask about the special drinks served up in small clay jars (but only if you don't need to go back to work).

Another surprise. Given the location and outside appearance, we expected a dive. It is a decent place inside and the food is remarkable. Some of the best Mexican food you will find in the area. Prices are reasonable. The waitress was friendly and amusing. Patrons were mostly construction workers from the Bridge (drinking during lunch?). Patrons were well mannered and polite. This is the type of super delicious authentic Mexican food that people are usually searching for. Not expensive. Try everything. It is all good. Also they have some hard to find Mexican foods like Sopes made correctly and Empanadas. however their best items is probably the basic taco with an unpronounceable mildly spicy super tender beef mix inside (get the version that some with cheese). Oh and they have cameras everywhere. You can watch the parking lot, street and all sides of the building. It is surprising that this place is not better known. The food trounces the standard Americanized Mexican fare that you find in the big popular Mexican Villiage restaurants. IT might be interesting to visit at night, but only with a sizable group of friends - an LEO or two might be a wise choice.

This is a Mexican bar across from the entrance road to Zug Island. There are 2 TVs behind the bar, one set to Univision and the other a feed from the closed circuit camera observing the parking lot on one side of the building. - unfortunately not the side of the building I was parked on. Unsure if this was more for knowing if someone was trying to break into a car or for watching the fights which undoubtedly take place later in the evening as evidenced by the shattered bottles of Bacardi Silver strewn about the exterior. The bartender did not speak English. Do not make the mistake of ordering a non-Mexican beer because she will have no idea what you're talking about (Michelob Ultra). You just point to the shelf in the fridge and nod "si" or "no" as she reaches for each label.Saw some people eating but we weren't offered menusNeed I mention credit cards are not accepted?
