Black Diesel Coffee

I've been here twice since moving to Ann Arbor last week - that's how good it is. Once over the weekend, the service was fast and my drink (a special on the menu) was amazing. I came once during the weekday morning to order that same drink and it took almost 20 minutes to make that drink. I probably won't stop by during morning rush hour anymore since it seemed like they only have one individual making the drinks but it's a super cute spot to get work done and have great coffee!

Came on an early Sunday afternoon to work. Atmosphere was very good and quiet and service was excellent. Tried their affogato after seeing it advertised on their social media which was quite nice.

On a recommendation, I stopped here on the way to the airport. The folks here were super friendly... from the cashier who took my order to another who answered a camera question.I ordered their Motors Blend drip coffee. From their available sweeteners, I was not the target audience of this coffee shop. Other than regular/refined sugar served from a dispenser, they had Stevia and raw sugar packets. Even with the raw sugar, I enjoyed the taste of their drip coffee.On a sad note, I had selected the table directly across from the display case. One of the items appeared to be a chocolate croissant. If I had not recently eaten a large Easter brunch, I would have definitely ordered one.

What a great spot. Loved the vibes of people working on laptops, the low chatter of other patrons, and the plentiful options to order. I scrapped my original plan when I noticed a "butterfinger latte" on the seasonal menu board. I was not disappointed at all. It was absolutely delicious and I probably should've ordered more than one while I was in town. Alas, maybe next time.

Great ambiance and awesome seating design for a small space. This coffee shop is functional for people working remotely while also being a comfortable space for guests looking to relax with a coffee. The barista mixed flavors for me to get the taste profile I was looking for. Great service here and the coffee is excellent too.

the food is VERY GOOD.. BUT 30 minutes... my family waiting 30 minutes to get oyr food and we couldve been home by then. the cafe itself looked pretty cool it was just crowded that day. BUT IT TOOK SO LONG

Black Diesel is one of my go to coffee shops in Ann Arbor! There's never a wait and the coffee comes out quick and is always yummy. My favorite drink is the butterfinger latte, which I think was seasonal to this fall. It is so so yummy and tastes just like a butterfinger! The inside is super cute with some places to sit and chat.

Stopped by on a weekday afternoon. The guy who took my order was friendly, but the rest of the staff seemed like a young bunch that were more interested in their own conversations. The interior was spacious and had a lot of seating. I prefer coffee shop ambience to be a bit more comfortable/cozy but that's just my taste. They have coffee, teas, pastries, gelato and some food options. I tried one of their seasonal lattes - I usually like my coffee sweeter but it was too sweet. I also got an almond tart that was dry and bland.
