Big Mike Fish and Chicken

40 large Shrimp for $16.99. Shrimp fried perfectly and tasted good. All together it was a good deal.

The reviews on the overall entire location, not just the quality of the food. The food is very tasty and they do a good job the problem is when you walk in and you're standing around waiting for your food you notice how filthy the building is. With that being said the entire 15 minute time frame I was waiting for my food the two employees or owners or whoever they are did nothing but argue back-and-forth and yell at each other in their native language. I found that to be extremely rude and be honest quite annoyingI will go back I'll just call my order in the next time to limit my time frame in the building

Walked in and there was no customers and I placed my order and they told me only 10 to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes 6 people came in and placed orders and I came in and my one order was done but not my other order. I was told 10 minutes again after 6 people placed there and they got they're food and left it was 45 to 50 minutes later for something that took only 10 minutes to cook. Worse service and will not eat there again.

I wouldn't even gave this establishment a one star if I had the opportunity. I usually go to Sea World Fish and Chicken in Detroit, Gratiot Avenue. I was traveling down 9 mile and spotted Mike's. I ordered a #7 which is 2 pieces Pickerel, Shrimps, fries and I ordered an extra piece of Pickerel fish which was $2.79. In the waiting area a man came in to pick-up is order and asked for extra condiments because of purchasing a large order. The young-man told the customer no, right then I got a bad vibe but went on to wait for my order.My order came up looked at my order and it looked ok because the fish was on top. Driving home in the car and proceeded to just sample the food. I noticed my fish was small in size because instead of giving me 3 whole pieces of fish this establishment cut one whole fish into 3 pieces and charge me full price. I could see where the fish was cut. (Who does that?) The shrimps were fried hard and the batter was awful. The fries were very greasy and later that night it made my husband extremely sick. I paid $18 for the meal and would of paid less at Sea World with bigger pieces of fish. Trust and believe I want to go back and get a refund but I feel that I can do better by not patronize Mike's Fish and Chicken on 9 mile and Van Dyke ever again. I will follow my first mind next time and stick with my old and faithful Sea World on Gratiot Ave. where they even sale homemade Kool-aids!! God bless!!

These shrimp are so good I almost ate the tails. Wasn't that long of a wait and the breaking is very goo!

We bought the family meal. Wanted to try everything thing. So here's a review The Chicken is pretty GoodHUSH Puppy's are not to badThe Shrimp is okThe Fish, is NOT good - lots of bones, and does not taste fresh. I would have to say most of their menu is probably frozen goods. Needless to say we probably won't go back and if we do the chicken is all we will buy. We actually threw out like 15 pieces of the fish. We couldn't eat it anymore.

So hubby was buggin me to go here so we did today. Looked clean ,staff was very friendly . I ordered jumbo shrimp, catfish, perch, clams, mushrooms, onion rings , coleslaw. $60 not impressed shrimp were just ok, bones in the fish, I haven't had perch in a long time but I don't remember it tasting like that. White Castle has better clams, 'shrooms and onion rings just ok and the coleslaw was like from a grocery store deli. Disappointed was hoping for at least good. Sadly everything tasted the same. Will not be back.

First time trying this place. I got a 10 piece large shrimp and 3 cat fish. Shrimp was fresh light batter and crispy ! And the fish was the same. I'll definitely be going back and the prices are great

food was great lemon pepper at no charge kool aid was fireeee friendly staff...all in all a good experience will be returning

was going to go to krogers to pickup some fresh fish. thought I'd try Big Mikes for something different. What a Big mistake.The fries were soggy greasy, the shrimp batter was also greasy, the perch batter tasted strange, definitely not lake perch, the menu said perch. A hint to the cook, make sure your oil temperature is 350 degrees before you drop the food in to prevent greasy food. Fresh fish? More like everything on the menu is frozen thawed. The worst fried food I ever had. GOD IS MY WITNESSI wont be going back.
