I visited Barda with a group of gentleman on a Friday night after hearing about this spot so many times from so many people. We were sat on an exterior table near the kitchen. Kim attended to us and she was awesome! She was swift with getting us drinks right away, and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu! The atmosphere at the restaurant was vibey with the combination of the lighting and mellow electronic music. Very much admired! We ordered a bunch of items from the menu that the restaurant timed out for us. All of it was fantastic! Number one item loved at the table was the short rib (pictured). The El Cuco cocktail was also a big hit at our table! Huge shoutout to Kim! She elevated our experience at Barda! Can't wait to come back and sit at the bar!

I am not cool enough to be in here. The vibes were too immaculate, the people too chic, a lot of SEE glasses, mustaches, and open shirts. Ok I'm being facetious. But damn this place is cool AF. Blue tiles, red lights, and open flames. It's a living, breathing, sexy organism. But wait there's more. I came for the happy hour burger and it was for sure happy. But first let me tell you about the most tastiest little Caesar salad you ever put in your mouth. Fire-kissed gem lettuce. A complex dressing with a couple anchovies swimming in it. And cheese, cheese, and more cheese with crispy breadcrumbs splayed on top of it all. Damn thing stole the show! The Barda burger? Unctuously meaty and cheesy, juicy, and beefy. It dissolves in your mouth just as easy as ya like. And now I'm drooling.

I was underwhelmed by my visit. Made a reservation for 10 as we were a small group celebrating an anniversary milestone. Advised in advance we would need wheelchair accessible seating. While they were able to accommodate, we were very tight. I would not classify this restaurant as a wheelchair friendly space. Parking is also not the best. There is a lot across Grand River, but I didn't like having to cross a busy street and the crosswalks were a little ways away. The menu is very minimal. Across our group, we probably tried everything on the menu. The food was ok, but I did not think the value was there for the food or drinks (small glasses). Happy to have tried something different, but not a place I would visit again.

I don't know if it's an exaggeration to say that Barda's Bife dish is the best steak I've ever had. The first time my husband and I dined here we split an order alongside several other plates and we were so floored by how good the steak was. Right then and there we both declared that even though we didn't mind sharing this time, in the future we would definitely be each getting our own plate. And so we have the next few times we've visited. Other standouts for us include their beets (which are as beautifully plated as they are delicious), the Peruvian potatoes and the scallop ceviche. For dessert, we split the baked Alaska and declared that to also be one we would prefer not to share upon a future visit. No matter how full we are we still each get our own! The space is very cool, with a huge bar in the center and a great view of the open air kitchen and all the flames they cook with. Staff has always been great as well. Reservations are recommended but I have been lucky enough to get a spot at the bar on the whim right as they were opening. But if you can, save yourself the stress and plan ahead. Once you get a whiff of that delicious woodfire kitchen you're not going to want to stand around and wait for a table!

This is primarily a bar set up that also serves light dinner so it's not ideal if you're looking for a big meal to satisfy some serious hunger. They offer an Argentinian inspired gastronomic selection that is very tasty and unique. The lighting is all red and the music is fairly loud and consists mainly of repetitive techno loops, not what you might expect at an Argentinian restaurant that is authentic. With that said, the dishes are most definitely unique and combine flavors that you may not have ever experienced. But it's definitely a good experience if you are adventurous. It's pricey but worth it as the spices and ingredients are so flavorful and unique.

The food was absolutely amazing. I went with my boyfriend and he is a bit more picky than me but he loved it. We ordered a couple of cocktails, heads up they were good but strong. We went on a Thursday so they had a Porterhouse steak special that we shared with the Peruvian potatoes as a side. We also got the Chorizo as an appetizer and the Baked Alaska as a dessert. The Chorizo was delicious and we could've passed on the dessert in my opinion. The servers there are so attentive; regularly filling up our waters, checking up on us the perfect amount, cleaned our table after each course & gave us new plates and fresh cutlery as well. The ambiance is amazing. The red lighting & open kitchen is such a vibe. Perfect place for a date night!

Super cool new-ish place that I finally got the chance to try for dinner.I had the costilla as my main dish and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. The Burnt Alaska dessert was yummy and the presentation super fun. I also liked their short but thoughtful wine list. A couple glasses of traditional method sparkling rosé were a nice pairing for my meal. Service was quick and helpful. If there's one complaint, it's that it is loud in there, so having a conversation can sometimes be a bit tough. But it wasn't bad enough that I'd take away a star. Just something to point out if you're looking for something a bit less chaotic.

What a great restaurant with a beautiful patio for the Summer! We ate inside, but it looked lovely out there. Service was excellent, food was delicious, ambiance was chic and lively. We had dinner on a Saturday evening, and I love being able to see and taste the flames from the kitchen. The dishes I loved most were the zucchini ceviche and the Michigan trout. For a vegetarian dish to stand out so much on an Argentinian, meat-centric menu, it has to be great, and it really was. Tangy and herby with basil, olive oil and lemon. The toasted hazelnuts really sent it over the top. Delicious. and the trout was just so juicy and perfectly cooked with crispy skin and a crisp, fresh fennel salad over top; so good. We also enjoyed the octopus appetizer, the strip steak, and the potatoes. Everything was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Though I drank sparkling water, my friends enjoyed their cocktails and wine; they even made something special for one of my friends, and she loved it. The steaks are especially spendy, but it's nice to go with a group and share - the bill didn't seem too extravagant at the end of the night, and we were all satisfied. The 4 of us ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees and a side. All in all, a lovely experience I wish to repeat.

A James Beard winner, this Argentine restaurant offers a grand wine list that encompasses so many South American options. This was the second trip to BARDA and the second birthday we celebrated! A four hour drive for dinner may seem a bit ridiculous to some but after our first experience it was hard to thank of anything place that I'd like to grab an awesome dinner. This go around was not the same and left us with envy of our first experience. While the Carne y Huevo and the Fernet Sour were up to par and the best I've had the rest of the meal was underwhelming unfortunately. We sat at the bar, closest to the kitchen and service was very slow from the bartenders. Also we spent a lot of time fixated on the kitchen, watching things come out and the garnishing. What we did notice was that our food sat for quite a while. The last step before leaving the kitchen was a woman going over every dish and garnishing.. she was calling out "hands" for someone to deliver food. When our food was up, it sat for sometime - to the point she actually delivered our food. At first it was endearing to have one of the chef's personally bring out our room was actually not the case. She was trying to deliver the food before it was too cold. While our burger was still warm and delicious our remaining courses were cold. A huge disappointment for the cost and excitement for our dinner. We came to celebrate a 30th birthday. While we would certainly give BARDA another go, this was a major miss unfortunately. It seemed as though they could have been short staffed on waitstaff that night. Overall great night, just got the quality we were expecting for the Bife, potato side dish and burger special.

They torched the baked Alaska before it got to my table, and then torched it again in front of me..? Idk if it was on accident, but it was burnt in a slightly unpleasant way, and I'm into burnt marshmallows. And the Caesar was smaller than last time. Still good, but I just don't feel like I need to come back like after eating here the first time.
