Smiley, flaky pineapple turnover, topped with sanding sugar, was filled with sweet and chunky pineapple.
The lone strawberry turnover left, available late in the day, was still flaky and delicious. Loved the sanding sugar topping.

Handcrafted artisan bread and baked goods, made fresh daily. Baked in a hearth oven.

Some of the breakfast treats available on the day of the visit. Also, note the organized kitchen in the background. This makes me so happy.
I love turnovers and this place sells several varieties: strawberry, mango, and pineapple.

Bread selection
Have a craving for turnovers? Try the blueberry or apple ones. Flaky pastry with a good amount of fruit. The cheese Danish was a-okay.
Shoppers keeping 6 ft apart, taking in the goods on display.
I had to have a soft pretzel after my SIL (who lives a few states away) spent the weekend making similarly tempting treats.
Huge iced cinnamon roll and yummy veggie quiche.

This part of Joe's closes earlier than the produce and meat and seafood, 2 hours earlier. They do sell much of the same Art of bread products in their produce shop. All by the produce section. The baked breads and pies look so good.

After a grocery run, I passed by this bakery and thought - why not? Just as long as the bakery was not packed and people were maintaining 6ft social distancing, I would be able to indulge in some carbs. The counter and large commercial shelves were packed with a variety of baked goods. Immediately, I saw the soft pretzels, and next to that, a display of pretzel dogs. I ordered one of each, as well as the pizza rolls that had just come from the oven. The cinnamon rolls also looked amazing so I went with one, as well. The cinnamon roll was large and liberally covered - no smothered - in rich icing, exactly how I like it. Unfortunately, the cinnamon sugar mix seeped from the roll and formed a burnt crust on the bottom, rendering part of the roll inedible. Oh well, more space in my tummy for everything else.I had half of the pretzel dog and half of the pizza roll for lunch - both were delicious. The bread was so worth the calories and the hot dog and pepperoni were both perfectly spicy. The staff at this bakery was eager to help and so very friendly. I hope to return soon.

I called them asking if they had Hot Cross Buns for Easter and they did. The staff were very professional and offered to set some aside for me. I got 4 of them and a few other pastries. I was a little disappointed because I went at 8:30 am and I expected the pastries to be warm from the oven. The hot cross buns were good but the cheese danish tasted as if it had been sitting out for a few days

I called to order bread for Christmas eve and they were extremely accommodating and helpful! Highly recommend! The bread we received for Christmas Eve and the rest of the Holiday was amazing! I highly recommend this business. The bread was perfect. Perfect cell formation, crusty baguettes, toothsome Italian Bread, moist, chewy ciabatta with a thick crust. The artisan tang was present in all the breads. They do bread & they do it very well!

Spinach and feta turnover was delicious, but the personality of the counter staff leaves a lot to be desired. My daughter loved a spinach feta turnover which we ate outside, and we actually came back in to buy another. It slipped out of the bag and fell on the floor at the door when we were still in the store. I gave it to the counter attendant to throw out, who saw the whole thing, and not only did she not offer to replace it, which would have been awesome, but she wasn't even sympathetic and said absolutely nothing, not even, "Oh, that's too bad". Just not friendly. She was lackluster at our initial check-out as well. Never smiled once. Seemed like it was a drag to be at work. Customer service is everything. Get some charisma and love behind the counter, Joe. Anything less is a major turn off. This experience made my patronage feel unappreciated. I probably would have bought a replacement turnover, but just didn't feel like giving money to people who don't care. I come to this plaza all the time to use the dry cleaners (who consistently do an amazing job, btw), and wish Art of Bread could be another stop to look forward to, but I'm not feeling it. On the up side, the loaf of bread was decent.

Diabetics beware, samples galore and you will also want to buy everything in the joint. Conveniently located near Joe's other ventures it is definitely worth the risks to swing by.Not the ultimate croissants but really quite tasty quality versions. I am a total croissant snob for the record and I do buy these and eat them super happily. They have a chocolate cherry scone though that will make you an addict. The breads have all been hits, We have tried vienna, asiago, caraway rye and Italian. Nice and fresh! The sandwiches look super tasty and a guy we met in there as a fellow customer on our last visit was uber enthusiastic about them. I was stuffed or I would have succumb to the temptation. The staff is really helpful and everything is displayed so attractively. You just want to grab all the tastiness and scoff it up.Definitely more stops to come.

It's been a long wait for "the art of bread" to open but one well worth the anticipation. You'll be immediately greeted once you walk through their door and if you take a minute to look around the front counter you'll notice samples galore. As I recall there were several cookie samples and their Italian bread, sliced, with an olive oil to accompany.Being on my hunt for a really great bakery, I usually won't leave with less than a decent cross section of inventory. I picked up a Vienna loaf, a baguette, one chocolate and one almond croissant, a lemon sugar cookie and a chocolate chip pecan cookie. Both the croissants were excellent. The Almond was rich and buttery as you'd expect and the filling was a little like an almond jam and not as dry and nutty as some I've had. My only wish here was that the edges got a little crispier. The Chocolate croissant had two threads of chocolate running down the interior's center and was also delicious. The cookies were pretty good too. The Lemon Sugar cookie was very old-fashioned, with a moist crumb and soft texture while the Chocolate Pecan was thin and chewy. Unfortunately, they chopped the pecans a little too much so I didn't get the sense they were there but still good. The bread is why I came though...and the Vienna, which is similar to a sandwich white was soft and fluffy but holding together really well and offering a nice crust. The baguette was also really good and worth grabbing one to split, butter and eat. I've only scratched the surface here but it's a nice addition to the Joe's Produce strip. I should also mention that this place is VERY affordable! I feel like they could be charging what Avalon does, but for what I ordered it was really reasonable.

The Art of Bread has been teasing me over the past 6 months every time I visited Joe's Produce with that 'COMING SOON' sign.FINALLY!It's Open!I came here last weekend to pick up a loaf of multi grain bread for my family and I's typical Sunday dinner.AS soon as the front door swings open there is a haunting aroma of fresh baked breads with slight undertones of type 2 diabetes (kidding).I was greeted at the door with a tray full of free cookie samples- I behaved and only took one.It was the lemon cookie- delicious, fresh, sweet, tangy and moist. I will come back one day for a box of sweets, but I was on the mission of multi-grain.I placed my order with one of the many friendly employees and received my loaf of bread- STILL WARM FROM THE OVEN in a brown paper sleeve.I also noticed their housemade compound butters, jams, jelly's, pumpkin and apple butters- All looked delicious! My kind of place. ;)I can't wait to come back and try EVERYTHING.
