Archie's Coney Island

A friend of mine recommended Archie's as a great place for breakfast. The food is good, plentiful and inexpensive. It's the perfect combination for the locals to frequent, and they do. Think breakfast version of Cheers. The place isn't much on decor, but it's clean. The staff is friendly and very efficient. If you want a hearty no nonsense breakfast at a good price, this is the place.

Oddly enough, I've been coming here for years. . .and years, since I was a kid really. Archie's is and has always been hands down the best omelets anywhere if you ask me. First time I came here was for breakfast and I don't think I've come here for anything else. Which I should probably rectify but if anything else is like the omelets here, then I wouldn't go anywhere else for anything! LoL! I wish I'd have taken more pictures because though it's a tiny little place, it has an air all it's own. Make sure you get there because I think they're only open until 2:00.

One of the "happiest places on earth"!!!!I HATE that people judge this place based on decor and not it's wonderfully fresh and yummy food. This man's grandmother could come out and give me the finger, wouldn't change how well this place has always been to me and now currently my pregnancy. Almost forgot! This place is SPOTLESS. Whoever said it wasn't is just a jerk. Its older, yes. Clean?? Absolutely!! The kitchen area ESPECIALLY. You can see EVERYTHING! So, no real room to be gross.

In one word: Nope. It's what my husband called a "one and done" place for us. The place is dirty and unpleasant. There is a poster of Johnny Cash flipping the camera off which speaks volumes about the place. It's rough. Coffee was not good, and I ate one pancake and was done - it was not horrible, just nothing special. The toast had some kind of buttery concoction that was bright yellow, which kind of freaked me out but my husband ate it. Syrup was a brand I recognized from Aldi, no real maple syrup, which is always disappointing. My husband had a chili cheese omelette and it was pretty good, but we can get the same kind of chili at any one of the cleaner coney restaurants in the area. The waitress was pleasant and we have no complaints about the service, just the cleanliness.This place gets good reviews from others so maybe we're just snobs? We really wanted to like this place and only went based on all the positive reviews so maybe just try it for yourself.

Love this place! Visiting from Ohio and was made to feel like family. Highly recommend 4 forks up!!!

It's small. It's dirty. It's a diner. I'd be willing to guess that the same old folks come in here every day and order the same thing every day. The food is nothing spectacular, just standard diner fare. I've had better pancakes elsewhere but these were serviceable.The waitstaff was friendly and chatty, which is pleasant. The prices are rock bottom; I think we ended up paying like 23 bucks for 4 people.I went here because of a family breakfast and I don't think I'd return.

Been here for breakfast and lunch couple times ... they open early and close early. it's a pretty small place but we enjoyed it and definitely get a bang for your buck too

Great good. Great prices. Great service I had the turkey dinner and upgraded side salad to a Greek. My husband had the fish and chips, which was also great. Our waitress handled our entire party of 30 efficiently and with genuine kindness and helpfulness.

An absolute diamond in the rough. The food is amazing, service is friendly and fast and I couldn't give 10 stars or I would. A classic example of don't judge a book by its cover. We are visiting from Florida and wanted to try a new spot and we were fortunate enough to find this place. You will not be disappointed.

Good place with good food I would go here again even though that I'm going this way for church I would drive all the way back to this Coney Island!
