Apothecary Espresso & Coffee

This is my favorite coffee shop in SE Detroit, so naturally I had to add it to my line up of my WFC (work from cafe) series!I will never ever get tired of the iced honey comb latte. Every time I'm in here I know I should branch out and try another kind of latte, but I keep coming back to the honey comb. It's that good! The chocolate croissant was also delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness. As for WFC, here are my pros:- Free wifi !- Before lunch, this place is on the quieter end and has multiple seating options available! Tables and couches, whichever you prefer or need. - This is a pretty popular work spot, you'll always see someone else on their laptops. - The food and drink options are just too good! As for the cons:- Plugs are a little scarce. I was able to jump around to another table after a while and plug in my laptop. - After lunch it can get pretty loud. I prefer a livelier work environment so that was good for me!Overall, I will be back to work from here. I recommend this cafe to anyone I can. Staff is also so friendly and welcoming, I can't get enough of this place!

I've been hearing about this place from a distance for years. It's not massively popular in a general sense, but regularly shows up in search results and recommendations. The hours and downtown Farmington location kept me away until just recently. Trying it will keep me away indefinitely.The drinks just aren't worth any special effort to get. Even if it were a convenient place to go to I'd drive out of my way for better. What I was given was barely warm. Within just minutes of receiving them they had the temperature of having been left out for 20 minutes. Because of this, all of the flavor was super syrupy and the milk was more prominent than anything else. Very unappetizing, but not the worst I've had. This place is also very stringent. One size drinks. No exceptions. Almost no additional options of any sort. Few pastries and other goods.The shop itself is petty nice. Attractive decor and overall very pleasant and 'lived in.' Super small, though, and with how popular they are you'll never find an open seat. Looking around will confirm why they're so popular, though. There's a board with tons of advertisements for clubs, live music, and other gatherings. People like it here because its the local place to be, which does no good for anyone else.There's plenty of other coffee shops within walking distance from Apothecary. Try some of them out instead. They'll be easier to find, too. Like others have said, there's no actual sign for this place. Apothecary is one of the few coffee shops in the cute downtown area of Farmington. My cousin recommended this to me when I asked her where to go. I enjoyed their hot LAVENDER FIELDS LATTE (oat milk latte with lavender and coconut syrups, 5.50) which had more of a lavender and oat flavor than coconut. Despite this, I enjoyed the latte because the flavor of the syrups were detectable without being overly sweet. I'd be down to try something else next time and definitely try a pastry, too.The interior is pretty cute and the entry to the cafe is in the back where the parking lot is and does not face the road.

Today, I went to this cute coffee shop in Farmington for the first time. I like the cozy and relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a Honey Comb late hot, and it was delicious! You can taste the honey without overpowering the coffee flavor. I'm rating it four stars because there are few places to sit, and you share space with others. Other than that, I will come back to try more!

Its nondescript location made me miss it when I was driving around but the ambiance inside is very homey and warm. Friendly staff and yummy coffee. I ordered the Honey comb latte, fantastic!A must try!

This place is such a vibe! I love stopping by here when I'm in the area. The atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing. I love their outdoor patio. They have great drink options. I recently tried one of their special pumpkin pie lattes. It was smooth and creamy.

Well-designed place and the setting was great. They have nice flavor and very smooth too. I enjoyed the quality of food they have. Freshly made and smell so good. They have lots of great coffee flavor. The staff were all friendly and attentive.

Apothecary is the absolute best! I love the owner who is frequently in the store and he remembers people all the time. Their coffee is delicious as well as their matcha. The coffee beans they use give it such a great flavor.

Met a friend on a Saturday afternoon - my mistake as the Farmers Market was happening in the parking lot and parking was extremely difficult. Ordered an iced honeycomb latte and a cranberry orange muffin, which were both delicious. My friend had a London Fog and a lemon scone, which she really enjoyed. You order at the counter and they call you to come get your items. There are several couches and tables in the small space. There is also an attached little shop stacked with coffee mugs and fair trade goods.

Good vibe, good coffee, they have bagels too if u get hungry. it's good for studying because it can be quiet when a lot of people are there to study. Just kinda small, but it's fine.
