Antonio's Italian Cuisine

My family has been going to Antonio's for 20yrs. They do a solid meal. I love that they serve Squirt as a soda choice. No one does that! The only small nit I have is that I think they changed the way they make dinner rolls. I remember them being longer and more flavorful. My son enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. I thought my veal parmigiana was very tasty. Another member of our party had the minestrone soup instead of salad and I admit it looked thinner than it used to but I didn't have it so not sure what that impact was. But my food was solid and I would eat there again.

I've been coming to Antonios for over 5 years, usually a good experience. The service is generally dialed in, and everyones usually really cool here. The place is always clean, the food is always great. I love the italian food they make. My only problem stems from the fact that my order wasn't made right on my last visit here. A bit upset about it. I'll update on the next experience.

Service from Abigail was horrible. Sunday at 1pm, not busy. Waited 15 min for server. We ordered our dishes, she said "soup or salad?". We assumed it was included since she said it in this way. $7 extra. Took 50 mins for food to come out in an empty restaurant. Regulars came to a table near us. 3 servers, manager, and cook all came to chat with them. Their food came out within 20 mins, we were still waiting for ours. Overheard our server telling the regulars that on her last shift a table yelled at her for her poor service. No wonder. She was back and forth to the regular's table 3 times while we were waiting on the bill. Pretty shocked at the whole experience, worst service I've had in a while.

Walked in and had old school decor. Wait staff was on it until extreme large table sat down- and they were also probably reason for our wait for food and to pay the bill. Waiting aside I had calamari, the pasta trio, and a delicious soup with spinach in and can't remember the name of it. I obviously really enjoyed the soup. The trio was good however the gnocchi was cold. The pasta and the veal ravioli were spot on though. The calamari was also excellent. Also- good wine selection.

We have only been here once and weren't too impressed. Several months back we had reservations and ended up waiting 45 mins past our reservation. The service was slow. The food was just ok. The pasta was just swimming in sauce which I didn't care for. The taste was ok, nothing special. The place is very neat and clean and kept up but the food just didn't cut it for us. We probably won't be back. We've been to many other Italian places that were so much better.

Dined here on recently (within the last week) for a birthday party. I believe the waitress' name was Judy if I remember correctly. Ordered Iced Tea, and it was given to another table, my food came dead last (by process of elimination the server said) I ordered the Alfredo and it tasted like cream. No parm, no garlic no S&P. As we were leaving down the walkway, the server was walking up with no room and seemed stressed. The Man behind the bar was nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place without a second go. Maybe we will be back, but until then I'll be making Italian food at home. I will say that despite all of this, the bread and oil dip was delicious.

All good things come to an end. Unfortunately the original owner sold and the new owner just isn't customer service oriented and it shows. I can't say how the food is now because after my wife and I were left standing there waiting to get seated for nearly 10 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant while the owner, his family members and other waitstaff all saw us and were aware we were there to get seated and dine there, we realized that apparently no one wanted to seat us so we finally left. I said something to the owner and he just looked at me blankly and did not say one word. That begs the question of whether or not he wants our business and clearly he does not. Hopefully others will have better experiences here but I can't recommend the place anymore.

My family and I were looking for a place to order a carryout and all agreed to give Antonio's a try. We are so happy we did. I ordered the Michigan Cherry Salad, the toppings were generous and the grilled chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly, the mixed greens fresh. My husband & son ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, both agreed they enjoyed their meals. I tried a little of the dish and the sauce was really good, creamy and a hint of garlic. The complimentary bread is delicious. Definitely give this place a try.

Ordered catering for a birthday party and was sold by their fresh ingredients policy. Not only was the food delicious but the owner was kind enough to allow us to borrow their food warmers after we discovered the ones we purchased would not be large enough. The dish that stood out was the Alfredo, it can be tricky to find one that is flavorful without being overpowered by nutmeg or covered in oil. All the food was amazing!

After hearing this is a wonderful place with good food, I expected more than average spaghetti and salad. Others in my group was just as excited about their choices as the person who suggested here so I wonder how many other Italian places they have eaten in their lives. I have eaten at many in a few different states.I will admit the lobster spinach dip was some of the best I have eaten. I got to sample some when another offered to share with the group. The service was friendly and good. But the decor was so dated and looked a little wore. Not an upscale at all. Olive Garden has them hands down. I will not make the drive from the west side again.
