Great service! Cheery interior that made me smile from the moment I walked in. Delicious homemade meatballs with bits of caramelized sauce. Anthony's deep dish pizza is scrumptious. I swear the box of leftover pizza weighs three pounds! After the meatballs, we only had room for one piece of pizza, so now we have lunch for the next three days. Woo hoo!

Gourmet is a word that gets thrown around a lot. This pizza isn't up there with what Wolfgang Puck was doing when he invented California Style Pizza in Los Angeles. But that's a good thing. For my family, we call Anthony's when we are in the mood for a hearty and heavy Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza. This is the stuff that New Yorkers hate to call pizza. They tend to think of it as a pizza flavored casserole. They aren't entirely wrong. These things are massive. When picking up a large pie in its box, there is a heft to this pizza that let's you know you're in for a hearty cheese-filled meal. My daughter loves Chicago Style pizza because the sauce is on the top, and she can scrape it off. That said, she still is deeply suspicious of a pizza one needs to eat with a fork and knife. The bottom crust on Anthony's stuffed pies tends to be nice and crispy. The pepperoni are nicely spicy. The sausage is a little odd, in that it is cut in flat "sheets" that lay evenly inside the pie, but it brings good flavor to the party. Our last trip was the first time we tried to go with half toppings in a stuffed crust pie. The division was remarkably good, with a map drawn on the outside of the box as to which half was which. It also meant that we got to try one with mushrooms, and those were delicious. I am floored that Anthony's offers individually reheated slices of these pies, and one of these days, I may be tempted to try those. In the meantime, we'll stick to our full pies, ordering the large ones. It's enough pizza for a family of eight, but the slices do reheat well. My preferred technique is to heat them in a well buttered skillet with a covered lid on low until the middle is hot, the bottom is crisp, and some of the cheese has melted and caramelized in the pan. Can you get better in Chicago? Sure. Probably. But when the craving strikes, I am really glad that Anthony's is here in Ann Arbor.

YIKES!!Never again will I pay $27 for a calzone & a 6 inch ham, mush & cheese toasted sub sandwich. Yes the taste was ok... not my fav, but seriously gouging on price for what you get. Keep driving & find somewhere else if you're looking for a meal.

We were super excited to try Anthony's. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the lackluster service. We ordered a half pepperoni/half cheese pizza and cheesy bread. We got the pizza, but instead of the cheese bread from the menu, we had a cheese pizza. We called to see if there was a mistake (after driving to pick up the pizza and cheese bread) and we were given the run around. They wanted to deliver us the cheesy bread- after we had already waited 30 minutes to pick up our pizza. They wanted to have us come pick up a cheese bread- again, we just left the store and drove home. Then when we asked for a refund, the only option given was "We can give you $10 off your next purchase." ...This was our first time going to Anthony's, AND we're moving within a few days so no, a discount isn't going to help us. It was frustrating to want to try a place so badly and then be disappointed by getting the wrong thing. Then with the phone call about the error, it seemed nobody wanted to accept any responsibility and they weren't flexible at all. We also heard them in the phone during pickup and they had forgotten food on someone else's order. We were also told on the phone "So we gave you more food" like they did us a favor, which seemed rude. We were super excited to try Anthony's. Disappointing for a cheese bread and pizza to cost $43 and then not get it right and be rude about it

Went to Anthony's based on the recommendation of a friend, and after seeing rave reviews on Yelp, I expected some seriously amazing pizza. What I encountered was...not quite on that level. The storefront is not a prize winner, but that's not problem! The staff is very nice and there weren't many people at the restaurant when we arrived, so we had plenty of time to order, and could get seats. (The seating is very limited though, be prepared to eat elsewhere). Getting the pizza didn't take too long, so can't complain about that! Ultimately the thing that brought the experience down for me was taste. After all the great rave reviews, I was looking for real Chicago Pizza and this just wasn't it. It was maybe above average, but not excellent as the reviews stated.

Best pizza I've ever had, delicious sauce, great cheese, perfect crust. My favorites are the gourmet and ny style, love the chicken, and their potato wedges with their wedge sauce are also really good. Worth the price, as one deep dish pizza will last me days, the customer service is also always top tier. And i love the colored interior and how they have different decorations for different seasons/holidays. Thankful for this Ann Arbor staple, and their consistently delicious pizza!
