What good food. Dill pickle soup is on point. My first time having Pork Schnitzel and it's good. Tried a few different sides and still smiling. The MI salad looks awesome, but it will have to wait because the rest is yummy. My, my, dumplings m, perigee, potato cakes (a little greasy). I am glad the family got what they wanted. This was well worth it. Even got a plus from my wife who has a limit taste buds for polish food. That's a win.

Amazing venue for a special eventWe held my parents' 50th wedding anniversary last night at the APCC, and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience from start to finish. The event manager, Tomasz, is incredible--knowledgeable, communicative, friendly. We were confident at all times that the event would run smoothly and be exactly what we wanted--which it was. The waitstaff and bartender were exceptional as well. We loved the Polish food we ordered as a buffet... there is literally nothing we would have changed about our experience. My mom has been crying all day because her party was so beautiful--it was like nothing she had ever imagined for herself. Thank you to the APCC for an unforgettable night.

What can I say about this place. We attended a graduation here. The place has several rooms for rent to host a party. So if all the rooms are being use it can get pretty busy here and in the parking lot. The place is easy to find with huge signs on the corner. The rooms are pretty normal for a hall. Tables and chairs with a dance floor. Also, their is a bar area if you want to use it. The food there was mediocre with nothing special. Just another hall serving the same old stuff. The staff was very nice and cleaned up the tables pretty fast. At time though it was hard to get someone for things or took them forever to bring a pitcher of water. Overall, it is a hall that you can rent out and nicer than most. However, maybe try other places if you want better food.

The best of the best of the best!Real, homemade Polish food (I know, first hand)... I love that it's so convenient and close. Very old world. If you speak Polish, do pipe up and greet your server in your native tongue. I simply adore this place, it brings me back, and the memories it conjures up are so very warming. This is a restaurant and banquet hall, and offers catering as well. They hold many events throughout the year. Paczki day! Get them here! Dances, festivals, events, funerals, showers, weddings. American Polish Cultural Center and Wawel Polish Restaurant is truly a place to consider for your event. The customer service cannot be matched!! Love love love this place!!

Cześć. This is my 500th Yelp review so I had to think hard about who I was going to honor today. I cant believe I've neglected PCC, it just dawned on me. It had to be the cultural center. I feel like Steve Yzerman scoring his 500th goal.I've been around Polish food my entire life. I've been to more restaurants than I can count, bringing endless guests and recounting the scores of Wigilias and celebrations over the years where the cooking was done by my grandmother, my aunt's, my mom, and great aunts. I've had good and bad polish food and everything in between. There are some good ones still left in Hamtramck and around town and a new one nearby in Troy.Polish cultural center has the best and most authentic Polish food in the Detroit area. I will openly debate anyone on this topic. Their pierogis tastes very much like my grandmother's or the former Starlite on Michigan Avenue. They have the best golabki anywhere in town. They feature the Polish feast, Wawel chicken (only featured here) potato pancakes, delicious dill pickel soup and the occasional nalesniki for dessert. Seafood and vegetarian as well as a few Hungarian dishes. The ambience is classic old world style proudly served by ladies who pride this establishment. Full bar. 6 Polish bottles and 2 more on draft in addition to domestics. The restaurant is open a few days a week and is always clean and well operated. Very, very quaint and charming interior. Enjoy this experience and bring your family. Dziękuję.

Slowest service on the planet. I cannot stress that enough. Sweet little ladies pushing carts in the slowest manner possible. The food is pretty standard homey Polish fare, filling, but not amazing. If you want amazing, go to Hamtramck. If you want quaint, dusty, bit decent food, stop through.

We have been to APC in a couple of capacities. Occasionally we head down there for a family lunch. Food is delicious and the service isn't bad. Sometimes there is a bit of a language barrier but nothing you can't work through. The dill pickle soup makes everything all better :)We planned a large family dinner (party of 30) there and that is where the one star demotion comes in. Planning it was a challenge. We were planning it from the other side of the state and they wanted us to come in and sign on the contract. It's 2017 (almost '18) so technology should be able to alleviate the need for this. After we explained our situation they were a bit more accommodating. We did send some friends down to help us set things up and when they got there they were told the woman they needed to meet with was busy. Long story short they went down there for nothing because when they came back just a bit later she was gone. Oh well. It still worked out. Service the day of the party was just ok. We had one waitress for 30 and she was not the friendliest. I understand that she was busy but she just didn't smile. That was a bit of a buzzkill. Overall though the party went well and the food was delicious. We would definitely come back. That dill pickle soup again made it all worth it!

Atmosphere was very nice with the various memorabilia. Had a combination to get a taste of the various traditional foods. Potato pancakes, pierogi, and the dumplings were outstanding. Pork chops were a little disappointing, as the breading was soggy. City chicken was average. The service was excellent.
