Great location! I had the foccacia and the ravioli (ricotta filled w/ pesto & speck) and I loved it!Went for Valentine's Day (a day early) and had a reservation. Sat in an intimate corner booth/table at 8pm. My boyfriend and I were so glad we tried this restaurant since he lives super close by. Detroit has had a lot of new restaurants lately but I think trying this one was worth it! The roasted marshmallows on the carajillo were an unexpected yummy dessert as well.

We made reservations at Adelina for a friends birthday. I liked the look better in person than in the photos. In person, the vibe is more adult and modern, low lighting, curves. We did find it a bit loud between the music and the sounds of others. They were ready for our reservation when we arrived. For a new restaurant I was impressed how well everything went: ready for the reservation, service, the pace of food and drinks. The cocktails were fantastic, the best of any I've tried at a new restaurant in the area. I started with the Pearl, which was fun, a popped bubble of smoke, but still had a fresh flavor. Everyone else was happy with theirs as well. We had a group of four and decided to order and share everything. We started with the meatball and the forccasia bread. The meatball is just that, one huge, delicious meatball surrounded by sauce, I'd recommend it. The bread and spread was good- fine. The salad was good size to share, the right size, fresh, perfect amount of dressing. We then had one of the pastas, the salmon, and another fish dish that was a special for the night. The pasta was fantastic, definitely made in house (I'm confused if we had a completely different dish than the other review who thought it was out of a box). I thought each of the fish dishes were less successful. The salmon was good, but I found it pretty average good. The other I didn't like the eggplant purée it came with, it was quite earthy. The fish was again, average. Overall, a mix, good enough that I would return and try other options. The other complaint we had was that with round chairs there was not anywhere to put a purse/bag. The manager, who came over to check on everything and was lovely, told us they do have purse hooks. I also appreciated that he checked in on the tables and appeared to want feedback. As it was a birthday we ended with one of the best desserts I've had out in awhile, the White Cloud. Beautifully presented and tasted lovely as well, and not overall sweet, fun and adult. Our entire table loved it.Overall, enough hits we would return.

Trendy spot right near Campus Martius that boasts Italian-Mediterranean cuisine. My family visited on a busy Saturday night to celebrate a birthday and we enjoyed our dinner but it wasn't anything spectacular in my opinion. I did like that it was decorated nicely for the holidays, and the mainstay decor was sleek and modern. To start, I ordered the espresso martini (pretty good) and also got to try a sip of others including the Winter Lychee (very sweet) and Something Different (surprisingly well balanced). Most of the drinks, including glasses of wine, were averaging around $17-19 which I think is too expensive but that also seems to be the standard these days. Food was on the pricier side as well and you could tell the focus on quality ingredients was there, I just wasn't particularly wow'd by the menu offerings. I ended up going with the salmon entree and the most interesting part of the dish was a little crunch in the beluga lentils. Between the rest of the table, there were hits and misses with different dishes (pass on the Chitarra but get the Ravioli). For dessert, the table shared the Zeppoli and tiramisu which were both tasty but again nothing special. We were particularly disappointed in the complimentary birthday dessert as we had seen online a fabulous white cloud but instead they've switched to just vanilla ice cream with some lackluster meringue cookies on top (wah, wah). Otherwise, service was good as our water glasses were never empty and everything was served fairly quickly. I believe it was the manager that helped serve some of our food and checked in on how we were doing, which is always appreciated.

This restaurant was decorated so beautifully for the holidays with a giant nutcracker and large ornaments. It had a very festive, cozy and upscale vibe. The service was good overall and they were packed on a Tuesday night so I'd recommend making reservations. I got the lemon spritz drink with Prosecco, lemon and limoncello and it was very lemon forward and light. The focaccia is house made and comes with ricotta and olives. The eggplant dish has a really nice charring on it that gives a smoky flavor, it is served cold and has a light vinegar taste. The waygu meatball came with some bread and tomato sauce, it was comfort food for sure! We ate most of the main course before I could snap a picture so never mind the mostly eaten food pic. I loved the burrata ravioli (comes with six pieces) and the nutty pesto sauce it is served in. The rigatoni had a touch of spice to it. The brussel sprout salad was an interesting mix with the beets and citrus dressing (brusells are fried which surprised me). Finally we got the tiramisu for dessert and it was mostly mousse with a bit of cake with the coffee dust on top. Overall really good experience and there was not a bite of food left on any of the plates!

Adelina is the perfect date night spot! Such fun cocktails and great food. For drinks, my husband got a gin martini and I got the Mediterranean pearl which was fresh and fun presentation. We got the focaccia and grilled eggplant to start and both were great. Our main dishes were veal Milanese and gnochetti and both were delicious. We finished off with white cloud for dessert and it was yummy end to the night. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Adelina was within walking of the hotel and homemade pasta was sounding good with the cold rainy weather. The focaccia starter hit the spot with warm fluffy bread served with a whipped ricotta and olives. The caesar salad had tons of shredded Parmesan and homemade croutons. The pasta I ordered was a bit more spicy than anticipated, but had a nice tomato flavor. The dream of chocolate dessert definitely left me dreaming for more. It tasted like a snickers bar leveled up with salted caramel and whipped namelaka. Service was swift and looked like a nice date night type place. Many patrons were ordering some kind of smoking drink. If in downtown Detroit Adelina is a solid dinner choice.

I came here to dinner on a double date with some friends and was blown away by how good it was. The vibes were perfect for a date night and the service was some of the best I've experienced. I want to specifically call out one server, Jonah Phillips, who went absolutely above and beyond to make our experience better. Jonah and I had gone to school together and I ran into him while he was working and he was so enthusiastic about the restaurant and walked us through all the dishes based on our preferences and even gave us a complimentary appetizer that we commented sounded really good. He also came to check up on us multiple times even though he wasn't our main server (she was also incredible!), but it really helped put a positive stamp on our night on top of all of the incredible food we tried. Will 100% be back and hope Jonah receives some recognition for how great he is with guests!

A great addition to the Detroit food scene. Have dined here twice now and both times were phenomenal. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. Noise level was perfect, staff was very attentive. The food here is amazing from the pasta dishes to the entrees everything is cooked to perfection. The menu is seasonal and changes. I highly recommended ordering several items and sharing. Drinks are outstanding, get the Mediterranean pearl if it's on the menu, so delicious. Can't recommend this place enough, if you're looking for a nice night out Adelina is your place.

First pastas & tiramisu state-side since returning from Italy....and let me tell you that Adelina didn't disappoint. Emily our server was incredible. She gave great recs! We also were dining Euro style - enjoying the courses and each other's company - which i know can make folks antsy for table turn on a Saturday night so we appreciated it & tipped accordingly :) COCKTAILS: their menu is pretty extensive. also btw they have Yamazaki 18 on their whisky menu. It's a pretty penny for a pour but, if you know - you know. If you want a more theatrical table-side experience, go for the barol-old fashioned (smoked in a cool skull smoker) or the mediterrean pearl (there's a bubble involved!!) APPETIZER: *PESCADO FRITO (Pickled Hot Peppers, Scallions, Calamari Rings,Citrus Aioli) - breading was great on this as it wasn't overwhelming or too thick. Great flavors. *BABY BEETS (Mixed Beets, Goat Cheese, Fresh Horseradish, Red Wine Vinaigrette, Lavash) - classic flavors and appreciate the blend of red & golden beets. I didn't really get much of the fresh horseradish, but delish dish all around. Only complaint - more lavash please! PASTA: they serve this as a 'primi' so before the entree course as they do in Italy! All pasta is in made in house. I mean it better be if Top Chef Fabio Viviani's name is attached to this restaurant! The pasta was served PIPING hot just like in Italy. *CASARECCE (Braised Wagyu Beef Bolognese, Parmesan) - great classic red sauce. the casarecce was a really nice vehicle as all the nooks and crannies really held and captured all the yummy sauce. *RAVIOLI (Burrata Stuffed Pasta, Basil-Pistachio Pesto,Speck, Butter) - I could eat plates on plates on this. This is a must order. It truly reminded me of having savory pistachio dishes in Italy (e.g. Pistachio Mortadella Meatballs - see my Dilla review in Rome, IT!) ENTREE: neither of these were very pretty photography because brown but it was dang delicious! *VEAL MARSALA (Thin Pounded Veal Cutlets, Mushroom, Demi, LombardoMarsala) - tender, beautifully breaded, super savory with the demi glass and 'shrooms. no notes! *FILET MIGNON (Crispy Tri-Colored Potatoes, Red Wine Demi, Broccolini) - perfectly cooked, but honestly not something I feel the need to order here at Adelina again because everything else was FIRE. DESSERT: we ordered...all of them. they also so kindly brought out a birthday dessert with a candle (ice cream!): *ADELINA'S TIRAMISU (Mascarpone Mousse, Espresso SoakedLadyfingers, Valrhona Coffee Ganache) - this is served in a martini glass and the presentation is fantastic. The espresso soaked ladyfingers were basically perfection - soo saturated in espresso but not soggy. A must order. *DREAM OF CHOCOLATE (Moist Chocolate Cake, Valrhona Salted Caramel, Whipped Valrhona Namelaka, Valrhona Gourmet Glaze) - this dessert was a delight. Reminded me of a candy bar with the tempered chocolate exterior. The salted caramel was perfect. *ZEPPOLI (Italian Ricotta Doughnuts, Orange Zest, Sugar, Chocolate Sauce& Raspberry) - The ricotta doughnuts were airy and soo poppable. I could have probably had 36 of these 'doughnut holes'. The sauce - especially the raspberry - was fresh raspberry! And the chocolate sauce had a bit of espresso in it. We shared all the above between 3 people are we were STUFFED, so choose your adventure as you see fit my Yelp friends! FYI - the parking situation is 3 hours free at Campus Martius OR Valet Parking ($21 -- it's off Gratiot)

Well it was certainly a disappointment. We went for valentine's day and I'll say the ambiance and interior is wonderful. The service was just ok, not on par with other places nearby... the food was a let down. For Valentine's Day they had a price fixed menu with 4 courses and few choices for each course. Here's the details:-Starter: bread was supposed to be brought out first but was actually brought out midway through our appetizer dish. The bread itself was great.-Appetizer: Caesar salad and Wagyu meatball which were unbelievable!!! But, they shoved our pasta for the next course onto the table before we had even finished the apps.-Pasta: rigatoni sauce was excellent but the noodles were undercooked. Gnocchi was very good-Entrées: The filet was amazing and cooked wonderfully. Lamb chops were completely raw and I sent them back (which I am hard pressed to do) but they were uneatable. Then the chef remade them and they were quite over-cooked. Missed the mark twice on "medium" which was disappointing given that they were only cooking 4 entrees back there for the whole night... I expected them to have it perfected. For a dinner for 2 that was over $300 we were let down by the food and they did not discount the bill at all despite the entree mishaps. All in all: Drinks and vibe was a hit, while the food was a miss. Im sure Valentines day threw things off for them but I likely won't be back.
