Checked out this location after seeing them on FOX two news and boy am I happy I did we ended up getting a few flavors from them Michigan maple pie being the best of the five I had. The staff was very friendly. Gave us free samples to find out what flavor would suit us best can't wait to be back.

I really like their pies. Except I had one pretty bitter Michigan Berry. I think it was. It was stingy on the sugar. The lemon, apple, & pecan are delicious. The staff is polite & quick. I'll try another Michigan Berry before I pass judgement because I enjoyed everything else.

If you live or frequently Southeast Michigan and think "pie", Achatz is likely one of the first places to come to mind. This cute bakery has several locations throughout michigan and the Southfield location is definitely my favorite !! My go to pie here is the seasonal French silk pecan pie. It's the perfect combination of the pecan and French silk pies. The saltiness and texture of the pecan pie melds perfectly with the rich, creamy layer of chocolate from the French silk pie. My only complaint is that they only offer this pie in the fall.As far as their other pies, I really love the traditional apple pie! I found their sweet potato pie to be way too sweet and lacking in any true sweet potato flavoring. Overall the pies here are very sweet so that is something to keep in mind.More recently, I've been really drawn to their cheesecakes and carrot cakes !! Few people know that they offer more than just our here ! What I love about the cheesecake is that you can customize it with any of the pie fillings that they have available. I typically get the plain chew cake base with a scoop of apple pie filling and drizzled with their delicious gooey caramel sauce. It is truly a must try!!!Lastly, the staff here is always super nice and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

It's alright. I like that they ask you if you want whipped cream on your pies because I hate whipped cream.The key lime and coconut cream pies were just alright. Nothing to write home about.

I visit this store when I'm craving good quality pies. Before going vegan I enjoyed many of their cream pies but I'm still very happy because most of fruit pies (the ones without crumble) are vegan. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming.They also offer their pies frozen, including savory ones so if you want something to bake at home this is s very good option.

This a nice bakery and you can see the Bakers, baking in real time. I purchased two apple pies, which were not my thing, but I'll go back to try other pies. The apple pie was too tart for me and the apple crumb didn't make up for it. However, they have about 30-40 pies to try and I'm certain I can find many I would like. I can't wait to go back and try the sweet potato, or one of the many berry, cherry or fruit pies that they have. They also have chicken, meat and lobster pies that I am dying to try. Tip, good place to get a pie for take a dish and they have gift certificates too. I just didn't care for the apple pie. I gave one pie to my friend and she said that she and her family liked it. I just don't like very tart apples in my apple pie, and yes I understand that tart apples are the choice of apples for apple pies.

My First time trying these pies. I purchased the Key Lime pie. If you love Key Lime, they use natural choices. True Flavors, its sweet enough. The Spinach Pie is another good choice, healthy. Nice Atmosphere and Friendly Management. Im going back to try the Apple pie next.

The two star is only because the hand pie was decent. The chicken pot pie is terrible especially for the price. It has zero flavor, and very little chicken. It's also just a frozen pot pie in a box. Any standard super market brand is better.

I ordered online for pickup and my order was not ready, even though I arrived 20 mins later than my pickup window. The store employee yelled at me and called me rude for asking for my orderas I was in a hurry. I get that she was alone in the store and busy, but I thought my order was put aside ready for pickup (it was not). I would hesitate to return to this store.

I bought several pieces of pie and a slice of carrot cake. I have yet to try the pies, but the carrot cake is so rich and decadent, and they don't skimp on the walnuts. The icing is not overly sweet. It is moist, tender and unforgettable. So glad I decided to try it.
