Great tasting food (subs). It took about 15 minutes but worth the wait, it was heated in his gas fired ovens, and were awesome. Its a very chill place to enjoy a great meal.

So, we just might have a new contender for best pizza in metro Detroit...I'm not joking when I say this. This stuff is legit.For me, there is so much to like about this place. It all starts with the owner. I love when I'm in a restaurant and the owner takes pride in the details that make their products stand out and is excited to share them with you. That's what happened here. Some of those details include 1) Canadian style pepperoni. Far lower fat content that typical pepperoni and shredded. This was great. Frankly I'm not sure i ever want regular pepperoni again. They were incredibly flavorful and not at all greasy. A big win2) Portion size, here every size is approximately 2" bigger that comparable size at other restaurants 3) The ovens, no heated conveyor belt here. this is a legit stone oven, high temp pizza oven that bakes a great pie.I couldn't wait to get home to try the pizza. At the first bite I was in love. The crust had a nice crispy bottom while maintaining a soft, pillowy, chewy taste on top. The sauce was silky smooth and had a little spiciness to it. All the meats were incredibly tasty as well. The shredded pepperoni was the standout though. I also really appreciate the fact that they offered flavored crust. I got garlic butter and it was like having bonus a breadstick with each slice.My wife got a Margherita pizza and loved hers as well. To top it all off, the breadsticks were fantastic too. If good food wasn't enough, the prices were very reasonable, a huge advantage that A Slice of Rome has over another newish local pizza place I recently reviewed. This may be my new go to pizzeria. I'll definitely be back

They have great pizza but unfortunately Nick doesn't know how to run a business they make you pay with a credit card otherwise they won't even make your pizza This isn't a cashless society they're from Canada This doesn't work here in the United States Good luck buddy I'll be leaving all kinds of reviews on all kinds of Macomb county forums and everything and tell all my friends not to shop there ever again we've spent a lot of money in your place I highly suggest you change that policy You're going to go under otherwise.

My SIL recommended this place- and she was definitely on to something. We live about 30 minutes away and didn't want the pizza to be cold by the time we got home so we decided to eat in. There are only some window seats and a small booth, but we were the only ones in there, so it was fine. The staff is very friendly and the pizza was great! Not very many drink choices, but my husband was able to walk to a neighboring business and grab us all something.

Found this little gem on a Saturday night on Yelp and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and just a cheese pizza for the kids and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The crust is cooked perfectly and is not thin crust but slightly thinner then your average pizza crust. The flavors of the pizzas were excellent and surprisingly not greasy at all. A truly great experience and I can't wait to try some of the other pizzas on the menu.

Very fresh taste - the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings (pepperoni and mushroom this time). Pepperoni is shredded (thin strips) which means you're guaranteed pepperoni in every bite b/c it's evenly distributed. Sauce, cheese and toppings run up close to edge of pizza leaving just enough crust, unlike other places where you mostly get 2"+ crust and a little sauce,cheese & topping. This pizza is NOT a greasy pizza which is a big plus. Pizza is a bit larger than most and cut into smaller slices so it's easier to manage eating by hand. Slice of Rome offers 5 different sizes of pizza - small 12 inch round cut into 12 slices, Med 14 inch round cut into 14 slices, Large 16 inch round, Queen 18 inch square, King 32 inch square. They also offer freshly made panzerotti (like calzone) and subs. Friendly service and very informative person behind the counter. This is mostly a carry-out location, but high top window seating is available so you can enjoy a slice if you're looking for something quick.

I wanted to say that this pizza brought me back to the pies of the 70's. Perfect crust, toppings and sauce are the perfect portion. In addition, the staff was very friendly and wanted to make sure that I was happy with my pizza.

I DD sometimes on the weekend when looking to make a couple of extra bucks after my weekly 9-5 and had a pie from here I had to deliver. I have to say it was honesty one of the best smelling pizzas I had ever smelled before.... That wonderful aroma lingered on in my vehicle for two whole days! I finally convinced the BF to come with me and grab a pizza. Inside the pizza joint, it's a little small. A couple of basic booths to eat pizza quickly on the fly. The owner Nick was awesome though. He's been in the pizza business since 1986 and has multiple locations in Canada. I believe it was called Naples Pizza. He has another location opening soon on 14 mile and Hayes in the next couple of weeks. If you like pepperoni, his version is shredded. That way it's all nice and crispy, meat in every bite but you don't get a pizza swimming in orange pools of grease...Our pizza had great flavor, texture, a great pull on the crust that you rip with your teeth. We loved it, it was great and Nick's story was even better. Super personable... He gave us our pizza for free that night as we sat down and dived in. He was excited to hear or thoughts on it and excited to hear we would be back for sure!

First time customer turned returning customer! I think this may be the best slice in a 30 mile radius, or more! Delicious food for a good price is something that we can all marvel at! Everything was cooked to perfection and in a timely manner. The employees were really friendly and definitely knew what they were doing in the kitchen! It was a very chill vibe in the restaurant it's self too. Very small but just comfortable enough to sit down and enjoy some pizza there. I wish I saved the photo I took of it because it was a work of art!

Have passed this location many times and always wanted to try and and can happily say that it was a good decision. The pizza was great and was quickly made at a good cost for the service. The crust hit the spot and the aroma was amazing. Just walking in, you could tell that it was going to be good.
