What a great bar! The cocktails are great and strong. They have a huge selection of beer and beer on tap. They also have a decent selection of wines, meads, ciders, and non-alcoholic drinks. They also sell chips if you need a snack. It was surprisingly busy for a Monday happy hour, which was awesome to see. The inside is very cute and has a vintage feel to it. They also have a nice patio and large windows they keep open so you can enjoy the weather at the inside tables. It also would be fun to come with a group as they have a few board games available as well.

We stopped here to meet up with friends who frequent this place, before going to a show at The Masonic. Interesting concept, it's like a beer store and bar. There are shelves filled with canned beer for purchase to take home or to enjoy there. There is a menu wall of craft beer on tap. There is a full bar as well, we ordered some Old Fashioneds, since we're not craft beer people. Our friends told us that the owner was the man making our drinks. He was a really hands on business owner, he was also clearing tables. We enjoyed our cocktails, then I tried a canned hars seltzer smoothie that was flavored like Pina colada called Smooj, it was very good. They don't serve food here (besides bagged chips and pretzels), but our friends said that you could bring take out and eat here. We sat at a nice patio area in front, the windows of the building were open to the fresh air. I will definitely remember this place when we're looking for a spot in Midtown to drink.

If you are a craft beer lover, this place is a Detroit staple and locals hot spot. Their beer selection is always top notch and the staff is very friendly. You are always greeted when you arrive and the staff learns your name as you frequent their shop. If you're new to the beer scene, don't fret! The staff can always help guide you and give strong recommendations for beers you pay like. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but get there early because it fills up fast! Street parking is available and Plato shares the building with The Peterboro, so you can always order food from them and bring it into the taproom.Make sure to check their Instagram- they post almost daily which is so helpful to see what's on tap and what their stock inventory looks like. I can't say enough good things about Plato!

This beer spot feels like a not-so hidden gem in Midtown. Connected to The Peterboro, 8 Degrees Plato was the best accidental find. For all the craft beer lovers, this place has what you need and then some. They have a beers on tap so you definitely get to try before you buy, or truly just get to enjoy a pint. The staff is super friendly and help guide you through their selection if you have any questions. Definitely a cool spot to hang out and crack open a cold one!

This was my first time here! We were trying to stay in the area prior to our concert and this was a really cool spot. They specialize in specialty beer and liquor. So it's a "high end party store" but also a bar with unique beer choices. The owner took his time helping us with our selections and was super friendly. His wife owns a boutique in Detroit as well. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We sat and enjoyed a couple of drinks before moving on to our concert. We will definitely be back!

Beer, beer, and more beer! The craft beer selection is exceptionally top notch. You can find just about anything that you may be looking or searching for. If they do not have it, they can help you get it and or find it. The staff has an impeccable knowledge of all things beer. Especially helpful if you want to purchase a few different beers is their flexibility to split 4 packs into singles. This is a huge plus to know when browsing and contemplating purchases. They also have a small bar with draft selections. So you can actually make purchases and sample in same location.

This is a great carry out beer store, local multi-tap bar with very good cocktails. You can buy a wide variety of chips, cheese balls and popcorn to eat while sitting at the high bar, or at the community tables.Tim was behind the bar and introduced me to a great Japanese whiskey. They have a great bourbon selection as well. If you're bored with the usual drink spots you visit, stop here. You will not be disappointed.
