My friend and I visited this place recently because I wanted to check it out after it transitioned from Village Place to 4th Tavern. Every time I drive by, the parking lot is packed, so it seemed like a popular spot.We both ordered the salmon salad, and it was excellent! It was so good that I finished it before I could even take a picture. I also got a slice of carrot cake to-go, which was delicious--definitely an indulgence, but worth it every now and then.Even though the restaurant was busy, our food came out quickly, and the staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the location. I'll definitely be coming back!

Three of us went to 4th Tavern Lake House on a Tuesday afternoon. First of all, the remodel they did from the Village Place diner that was there was remarkable. It doesn't resemble the former place at all. However, they made a huge error in where they put the host stand, as, if nobody is standing at the stand, staff can't see newcomers. We waited several minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was virtually empty. It took our server, Brandon, a couple minutes to come and take our beverage order. He said he'd give us a minute to look over the menu, but it was probably close to 10 minutes. As we were sitting there, all the other customers were finishing their meals and leaving. It was Taco Tuesday (or some aptly named theme), and we all decided on the same thing: chicken fajitas. They seemed to take forever to come -- like a good 15 minutes. Keep in mind that, by this time, we were the ONLY customers there, but there were staff members all over the place, on their phones, watching tv and just standing around talking. It was frustrating. When we finally got our food, we noticed the beans were tepid, but we didn't want to send them back for fear that we'd have to wait a long time. But, the rest of the food was really good. We all enjoyed the fajitas, and really, there was so much that all 3 of us could probably have shared 1 order. Will I go there again? Based on this experience, probably not. I've had MUCH better service at 5th Tavern on Telegraph and Grand Tavern in Rochester Hills.

Great pick-up service! Clean, welcoming entry and quite busy. The NY strip steak could've had a bit more seasoning in my opinion, but was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The grilled chicken caesar salad was delicious and will most likely become dangerous to my wallet. The French onion soup tasted like maple syrup? I was confused. Hopefully just an off-day. The carrot cake was yummy. I would like to dine inside next time, but will avoid the French Onion soup (a statement I didn't anticipate ever uttering in my life).

If I had to wrap up this experience in one word it would be: underwhelmingDecent sized menu but after reading it over a few times, I ordered a burger cuz nothing really jumped out as being special. Menu said it was a Kobe wagyu beef burger and I ordered it medium. It was cooked completely done through the whole thing, not even one spot of pink. Taste was nothing exceptional. Shoulda asked for some mustard cuz all I really tasted was the brioche bun - no seasoning to the beef. Strike 1. Had to ask for straws for our beverages (no biggie) but the guy brought them unwrapped in a napkin. Eww...makes you wonder where those were sitting out and who touched them. Appreciate he had them in a napkin but definitely prefer having paper wrapped straws even if they are biodegradable straws. Strike 2. Hubby ordered the ribs. In a nutshell - he ate half of them and brought the rest home. He is not even sure why he did that as he is not sure he even wants to eat the leftovers. Doesn't care for the taste. No good BBQ flavor to it. Kinda bland except for the sauce - no grilled taste, no seared taste, it's just missing something. Strike 3. We paid $67.71 for a meal of a burger, order of ribs and one beer that neither of us really enjoyed. Oh hell...i initially gave this reviews two stars and I am changing it to one star. The only thing we actually did like was our friends company! The ambiance as shown on the website vs what we saw was very different - maybe because we sat on the patio. We met our friends there and came in from the parking lot so did not see the inside of the restaurant And I read some bad reviews about the seafood so I avoided ordering it but the ahi looked good on the video on the website (just a tad leery ordering it). But the patio area did not look as nice as what the website made it seem, the food was plated much nicer on the website - the website made it look like an incredible experience and we just sorta had dinner on a patio with some kid at the next table yelling to go feed a duck. I think this place is struggling for its identity - heck, you can even grill your own steak on a rock like that stupid chain restaurant. Is it supposed to be upscale or a place to get appetizers and beer? You can't be everything but right now it feels like they are trying to and it's not working, at least for me. If you can't grill my Kobe burger right, I am not going trust you try grill my filet mignon correctly.

Decided to give this place a try when people were comingLining about the prices on the Waterford Facebook Group. I will say the prices are a little high for the food quantity that is provided. I would expect some of those prices with the little food provided to be in Las Vegas where I moved back from. However the quality of taste was great. The service was good because we sat up at the bar. So it was faster than what I noticed going around me at the tables. The atmosphere is clean and nice. Nothing spectacular unless you want lake views on the patio. Also the hosts who sit people could have smiles on their faces. They looked like they hated being there and that their job entailed leaning up against the walls and JSUt chatting with everyone who worked there. This could be part of the problem why people may not get the best service here. If the service was better I believe people who stop complaining about the prices.

Great place. Quick service. Great quality. Great food. The cook is handling a lot of different tastes, Asian, fish, steak and all of it is great. They are not trying to overwhelm you with spices, rubs or sauces. They figure that if you want more seasoning, my God, pick up a salt shaker or the pepper. For my money? This spot is a hit. I would tell the owner to double down, buy more property... add on and hire more talent I. The kitchen because you have a winner on your hands. I will say that the parking lot is full, good problem to have, but get there and a lot about 5 minutes to wait on a parking spot. You'll get in.Deets: Wife had the Asian stir fry. Pleasant surprise with coconut jasmine rice. It was not over stir fried, but spot on! I had the New York strip and it was cooked perfectly to temp. Sear was good. Maybe a touch more salt, but I have a salt shaker, right? Had their onion rings and they were fantastic. The crowd was a mixture of locals and young families. Was noisy it but not overly so. It was busy. Great view of the lake, and popular! Overall, I would recommend a visit. We are from out of town, but on our next visit this is a definite must.

Over priced food that's consistently meh. Although I heard the breakfast is pretty good I've never tried it. I've been there for lunch and for dinner. The final straw was the last time I decided to order carry out instead of dining in the restaurant. It was missing food and the food we did get wasn't that great. It was that day my husband and I decided no more. Service is ok. Generally have to wait to be seated. Not because they're packed but because there isn't anyone at the host station 75% of the time I've been there.

Use to like this place. Last visit, the food just wasn't good. Maybe the ambiance of the Harris signs out front ruined my appetite. Made me wonder if I could trust the judgement of the owners to feed me well.

Such a delicious experience with a lakefront view! Best fajita we've had in ages! Seasoned perfectly grilled chicken and veggies. Would definitely order that again! Service so good. Appreciated the view even on such a humid summer evening.

Just stopped in first time. Beer on tap was great, Two hearted, wanted the whitefish but they were out of it. Ended up getting the walleye and it was ok. However, they piled on the anchovies for the Caesar salad and it was great. To me 50/50 place
