Came in around 11 am and we were already on the waitlist. We did have to wait a little when we got there and were seated at the bar. Theres ample parking! You order on your phone and pay for it online as well. The server does remind you though that they have plenty of staff to assist you if you have any questions. I ordered the chicken sandwich and salad combo! It was delicious and very filling. I also got the slice of the poppyseed cake and it was too sweet for me. My friend got a pizza and she liked it. I would love to come back to try different things on their menu!

This a very interesting restaurant with fantastic food. It is in a residential neighborhood, but if fits in nicely. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Not a lot of parking so you may have to park on the street and walk down. The apple spice cake was incredible. Their breakfast menu is a big hit. I enjoyed chicken breasts with eggs and gravy. My friend had a short stack of pancakes with blueberries that he could not finish. They make lots of different coffee drinks as you would expect in Seattle. You can call ahead and do drive through pickup. I'm t was pretty popular on the Sunday morning when we visited.

Came here as a group of 6 on a Thursday for lunch. Didn't make reservations or check in earlier so we sat outside. Kinda sucked the heaters didn't work but it's all good. Order on your phone and pay on your phone.Honestly everything we ate was pretty decent.I especially enjoyed the garlic bread and the meatball which might have been the biggest meatball I've ever ate in my life. Fries with the dip were good though I probably ate more than I should have. Kale salad was huge portion and I ate the rest as part of dinner later.Deru Market is not a place I usually would visit for a meal since I generally like more Asian stuff, but I'm glad I came and tried out this place

Food here is always fresh and full of light variety of flavors! It's so good and glad it continues to uphold the same taste as pre Covid days . Prices are getting higher with everything lately , which is a bummer, so idk if I can have this all the time. It is a nice treat yourself easy simple meal. The veggie platter was amazing and full of so much colors and variety. I loved the house hummus! Beet and carrot hummus were new to me, I liked them but they were on the lighter end.Cookies were HUGE! Loved them but our group couldn't finish them. Sandwiches here are always juicy and unique. I tired the grilled chicken with goat cheese and it was good but got sick of it after the first half. The goat cheese became too dry to my liking. I still prefer the turkey sandwich they have over this! The focaccia bread used is always yummy and fresh!

Wonderful spot on a cool sunny day! We ate outside and it was perfect. We ordered the kale and sausage pizza, margherita pizza, pepperoni pizza, meatball, breadsticks, carrots, cauliflower, pastrami sandwich, and farm salad. Everything was super tasty! My personal favorites were the margherita pizza, meatball, and farm salad.I remember it being a little warm when we went once when it was hot out but it was not unbearable. Just something to consider for people who are a little more heat intolerant.

Value For money: 5/5Service: 4/5Ambiance:5/5Food: 3/5Stopped by DERU Market for some coffee and snacks and left quite satisfied. I opted for the iced salted caramel latte, and my friend chose the iced mocha. Both coffees were delightful--just the right kick to brighten our day! However, not everything hit the mark. The blueberry oats cookie we tried was a bit of a letdown as it lacked the robust flavours we were anticipating. Fortunately, the corn cake we shared more than made up for it with its excellent taste and texture. Overall, the DERU Market is worth a visit. Don't miss out on the coffee and make sure to give that corn cake a try!

Not recommended for anyone looking for a GF dinner. The only GF option is to get either the farmer salad or a vegetable side. There are no GF proteins other then cold deli turkey and plain cold shredded chicken. They seem to be known for pizzas, but alas, no GF option either. Service was a big con, although it's obvious they strive for great service. Our server was friendly, but when talking through GF options she recommended fried chicken sandwich and meatballs (both have gluten). She also never informed us that a side of sauce costs $3. This was quite a surprise. (The plain shredded chicken definitely needed some sauce or something.)We got no itemized bill. She just came by and told us the amount to pay. We only saw what the charges were on the receipt. This lack of transparency was not professional and left a bad aftertaste. The place is cute and seems to be a locals' gem, but deceptive service and lack of GF options prevents me from recommending it.

This has been on my list to visit for years but never made it! Big mistake as the food is fantastic!!Parking: Small parking lot and surrounding neighborhood Pet friendly: UnknownFamily friendly: YesFOOD:1. Garlic Bread (House focaccia, garlic confit, seeds, parmesan. Served with olive oil and balsamic) $12.00: 3 Star - I really wanted to love this bread as its different that make them unique to DERU. The garlic confit is very tasty but I think they had TOO much seeds that it covered a lot of the taste. I love focaccia but I don't think it's the right "bread type" for garlic bread. Focaccia is this heavenly squishy cloud bread but I want my garlic bread to have a crusty crisp exterior but super soft interior for the textural difference.2. Roast Beef Sandwich - Full (House herb focaccia, house herb crusted roast beef, gruyere, arugula, bacon onion jam, celery root aioli and house herb aioli) $18.00: 4 Star - See a focaccia is perfect for a sandwich bread! This was a tasty sandwich BUT it looked and tasted similar to the Chicken sandwich. The only difference was the protein. 3. Roasted Chicken and Goat Cheese Sandwich - Full (House herb focaccia, roasted herb marinade chicken, goat cheese spread, house red onion marmalade, arugula, house herb aioli) $17.50: 4 Star - bread bread bread! I had to say that because I what else can you say about a good focaccia sandwich bread . I still stand by the fact that visually and even taste, it was very similar to the roast beef. Too light on the goat cheese as you couldn't really tell it was there. 4. Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting - slice $12.00: 5-Stars - OMG this carrot cake was so delicious! The only other time I've had an amazing life changing carrot cake was at DW Bistro in Las Vegas (yes it was life changing because until that point I did not like carrot cake). The texture was so moist and the perfect denseness (real words). The frosting was just sweet enough that it paired so well with the cake. ::Chef Kiss:: DRINKS: Salted Caramel Latte (Espresso with steamed Milk and DERU Salted Caramel Sauce) $6.00: 4 Stars - first sip, I thought it was tasted like super water down coffee but I took my friend's advice and just do a slight stir even though it'll ruin the latte art. The perfect kiss of Salted Caramel Latte to the must needed caffeine, even more so as I went on a breezy day and decided to sit outside. MENU/RESTAURANT: I love their menu! Its very bistro style and you can tell it's a place that serves local, clean, simple ingredients in the most fabulous way. For some reason, I have no idea why I thought this restaurant was in DT Kirkland. Its not far but as I drove, I thought my GPS was misdirecting me. To my surprise I found myself in a neighborhood with a small restaurant. There is small indoor and small outdoor seating which explains why its first come first serve. To be honest, this is really one of the reasons why I haven't gone due to the lack of ability to make reservation. SERVICE:This is really a 3 part review... 1. The in person staff is super friendly and will constantly check on us. 2. You can order remotely via the QR code at the table OR you can go to the front and order directly. We originally thought to use the QR code since it seemed easier but when it came to ordering a slice of carrot cake it wasn't even an option. I had to go to the front anyway and was told that oh for the carrot cake you need to come to us... why bother with the app than..? 3. Their remote waitlist - I actually tried to go back for a 2nd visit but when I joined their remote waitlist for a party of 7, it told me it was 225 minutes which made us go somewhere else and lo and behold an hour later I got a text saying my table was ready... seriously...

this place is so adorable and delicious! also pretty big portions. My friend found this amazing spot and we had such a fun time chatting and the carrot cake was the best thing ever. the proportions were massive, idk how to show this but it could definitely feed 3 people comfortably and 4 people normally as a dessert item. price was quite fair. I expected the skimpiness of seattle but deru delivered!! pizza $18 and huge. pasta around same price and hefty amount. $12 for cake slice that was ginormous. lol worth. they were really nice about closing time too, we accidentally stayed a bit over and a lot of folks were still there- we promptly left when we realized but did want to give my apologies and kudos on how they handled it so well and didn't seem to mind. sorry!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Deru Market. I feel like every time we get the change to eat here we are amazed at the quality of fresh ingredients. My favorite go to is the sandwich & salad combo. It is more than filling and should probably stop when I'm full but can't seem to have any self control here.Inside is bright and cheerful. There is bar seating and a handful of tables. Outside a few more table and bar stools seating. They have QR codes to scan and the food just magically appears:)If it's cold out they have outdoor heaters they turn on.Service is always on point. Always greeted with a smile that feels genuine. Easy to order ahead and go to the pick up line to bring your delicious food home or to the beach.Their cake is delicious and always a treat to share.
