Actually I've been here several times, just kept forgetting to review. I've never had a bad experience here. Service is always good; it does get really busy (because it's so good!) and you may have a wait, but it'll be worth it. Ribs, pastas, sandwiches, burgers are all excellent and you have some great sides to choose from. Also realize it's "the depot" because it was originally a train depot AND there will be at least one train go by about 20 yards from the building so it will be heard! But it's a cool place and well worth it!

Great service and cool spot! Bison burger was cooked exactly how I asked (medium rare) and was a good size. Steamed broccoli was not overcooked and was seasoned well. Buffalo chicken sandwich was solid. Chicken was moist. Buffalo sauce is not spicy. Someone else in our group got the chicken parm sandwich. He said the focaccia had a good amount of olive oil. Chicken was tasty too!Fun ambience and decor! Beer is from the brewery across the street and it is good.

This place lived up to the hype that we had heard about it. Fried green tomatoes - one of the best versions of this dish I have had. Salad - blue cheese was amazing! Ranch was tasty. Personal preference - the tortilla strips were abundant and dominated the salad. Hamburger steak - huge, grilled, tasty! Texas Tails - very good, seasoned nicely and could still taste the beef.

After an afternoon of antiquing at Springfield Antique Barn we had quite an appetite. At first we were intimidated by the crowd but it took us less than 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress was very busy but attentive and friendly. We tried the chips and salsa for an appetizer it was very good. Chips seemed homemade and hot. Salsa was chunky and had a nice herb flavor. Had the depot themed drink The Engineer, it was mixed correctly and didn't feel watered down. I'm a sucker for duck so I got the Smoked Duck Quesadillas, very delicious. The only thing that keeps this place from a 4 star rating was that it was extremely hot in there and all the workers were walking out back smoking pot. Management get this under control.

Well we were looking for BBQ but the place we went to had no pork so we came here. WOW so glad we did!!!!!!!! The food was really good!!!!! The staff were friendly and fun. There's an old time feel in this place and the train passing by really made the Depot feel authentic. This is a definite must and we will be returning soon.

UpdateTodays visit was disappointing. They no longer sell fried green tomatoes. The wings were good. Salty though. The spinach article dip has ZERO seasoning. Strong taste of spinach. No garlic, Parmesan or any flavor really. Hated the chips. Too thick and hard. Fried pickle spears- started out good but the more I ate them the saltier the breading seems to get. Liked the sauce with those a lot. Also detected a string flavor of thymeOur server was great. The place was really busy (noon) as this must be a hot place in town. It's really nice as far as a bar goes. I doubt we will return again. Just seems their menu isn't stiff we would go out of our way to come back. We are about an hour away.

This was our first time eating here and we were more than impressed with the quality and freshness of our food. The black bean burger is absolutely incredible in terms of hitting all the right flavors. It is packed with veggies and tastes like it too! Also, I wish I knew the secret to their steamed broccoli. It was seasoned to perfection! It was really cool that the owner stopped by our table to talk too! Seeing his interaction with the guests speaks volume and it's no wonder why this place is always a full house! I can't wait to go back!!!

Had date night dinner here and was so glad we did. Cool little place in town near the railroad tracks. It was clean and the service was excellent. The food came out relatively quickly, warm and cooked the way we ordered. Everything tasted great. We'll definitely be back.

Food choices are broad. Quality is always good. Service is very attentive. This restaurant has been really good for a long time. Mike does a great job running it. Springfield has a neat place for casual, high quality lunch and dinner.
