DeLuca's Market

Stumbled into this market and decided to give it a try because I saw that they had banh mi sandwich on special. The banh mi was overall very good. The baguette was fresh, soft inside and crisp on the outside with savory ingredients. The ordering process was a little challenging as the cook was not sure of the final ingredients but was helped by another co-worker. Overall a positive experience and I enjoyed my banh mi.

I came to Dealuca's for a free wine tasting. They had 4 options, as well as a whiskey. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would certainly come back! Also important to note that the wine area is a bit hard to find, but they have a great selection.

Why they are still in business is beyond me. Bought a cake mix and frosting can from here. Got home and wondered why the color was off. It had expired 3 years previously. They've been shut down. The store often smells like rotting food. I saw them poor clam chowder down the sewer, clearly marked because the water went to the Charles River. I've also purchased a coffee cake for an important meeting, only to get it to the office and find that the top of the cake was coated in green mold. Awful place, worse owner.

Best pesto sandwich I've ever had. Turkey, mozzarella, tomato and pesto on ciabatta. Didn't spend much time in the main market itself but the deli was amazing.

I want to love this place, it absolutely has the potential, but it needs a serious effort to rise up and meet the basic standards of a good neighborhood grocery. There needs to be total reorganization of the layout, fresh shelving, get rid of the lazy bad habits of displaying items in the boxes they were shipped in. There are bugs in the cheese aisle, bugs in the front display. A reputation for expired items. Shrug off the past, move into the future. Please get this gem polished and benefit Charles Street. Chuck out the junky chairs in the back, get some nice seating. Get some good coffee going, give tatte some competition. Please be the grocery store we need you to be!

We had excellent and generous sandwiches, one with pastrami and all wheats bread, the other one with prosciutto and provolone with ciabatta bread for 10-11 dollar each.

My mom and I stopped in today to get sandwiches so we could eat at the park. This was the second time in this deli, and the employees were super nice and helpful, and the sandwiches frankly delicious! Mom got the Cuban, I had a roast beef and cheddar with horseradish. Sandwiches were huge; we could've split them, but ended up taking the second half with us on our flight. Very glad to have found this place; it's a quirky little independent nook with really good food!

Delicious sandwiches! Pesto was particularly good. Would be a great spot to grab something for a picnic in the public garden on a sunny evening.

This market is adorable and they sell Teuacher champagne truffles from Switzerland. They are to die for. Love shopping in Beacon hill for quirky Christmas gifts!

There has been an amazing and positive change in the store since the younger generation took over: clean, well-stocked, new products. If, like me, you haven't shopped here for years you should try it again.
