I've bought hotdogs, from Delish Dogs for about 5 years now. Its a great hotdog stand manned by Phil and Karen. My go to dog is the Pineapple Express. I believe I've tried all thier Dogs with exception or the what in my personal opinion is un American, the vegetarian dog. There are those that will disagree with my opinion, and that's OK, last I heard this is America and you have the right to your own opinion and the right to disagree with mine. I have never had a bad hotdog here. I usually find them at Dinner and a Concert. And have seen them at Music Festivals around the San Diego area. 8 bucks may seem high for a hotdog. I have 2 strategies in place to justify the price. The first being Bidenomics. My second strategy is to view it as admission to the concert. That helps take the sting off of things. Couple that with the fact that my dad taught me to support my friends who operate businesses . It's a no brainer if Phil is out there amongst a half dozen Food Vendors, I'm going to his booth every time. Stop by and get a dog from Phil and Karen at Delish Dogs. I'm sure you'll be like me and return time and time again. Please be sure to tell them George sent you.

Probably by far one of the best hot dog places. I just wish they had a location to easily find them.We have got the chili dog, and the Chicago dog. Both were great, but the chili dog was amazing. The hot dog itself is very meaty and flavorful, and the chili on it for being a condiment was better then most places entre for chili. The Chicago dog was good, the sport peppers they use do have a bite. The weird thing was the relish, it tastes fine, maybe a tad bland, but it was the color it was green green. I have never seen relish so green, and green in an artificial way.

The couple that runs Delish Dogs are very sweet & kind and overall while their menu selections are plentiful, I do wish they read their Yelp reviews, as there have been some good suggestions and I have a few more...They should toast their buns, or at least warm them up. A cold hot dog bun detracts from the overall taste and experience of the food I feel. And it's such a simple thing to do.They don't have any bacon-wrapped dogs - a huge oversight in my opinion. If they did, I would get that every time. It also introduces the option of offering a Sonoran dog, which I believe is one of the best kinds of hot dogs there is. They do allow you to add any toppings they have which is great. The chili, in my opinion, could be better. A little salt goes a long way. I would even suggest adding Wolf Brand or Hormel's beanless chili as an option. They do offer nachos, which are impressive. The Chicago dog is a much better version that the one I had at Portillo's in Chicago (which was terrible)...so they got that one spot on.The Spicy Dog is good, and really not that spicy. I added both kinds of hot peppers they had and it still wasn't that spicy. That being said, I've had their jalapenos before and they were super HOT so consistency could be better achieved. The sausage was also shorter than the bun, so on both ends there's a lot of extra bread. Longer sausages would be great. They have pagers now which buzz when your order is ready. This is great especially on busy nights where they can't yell over the crowd.I think with a few easy improvements Delish Dogs could be five stars

These are some of the best hotdogs you will experience. I'm guessing the owner makes and cases them all. The meat pops with flavor. The toppings always taste fresh. Chicago dog is chocked with proper toppings and peppers.Chili dog is absolutely delish. Flavors all meld together. They are booked out months in advance, but if you text them with a day, they'll tell you where they'll be that day.You need these delish dogs in your life.

Amazing dogs. Seriously the best I've had. Also, the owners came and brought our bad boy Russ some treats (sorry if he scared you!), and that just showed us that they're very genuine and care about providing great customer care. Do yourselves a favor: find them and get the Jumbo (with jalapeños for me).

Delish Dogs makes some good hot dogs and they frequent local breweries so you are bound to run into them if you like to check out what's on tap. I had the friendly couple make me a Chicago Dog with all beef tube steak and every thing on it including the chili peppers. If I remember correctly the dog cost $4-5 dollars. One thing I liked about the all beef dog was the manner in which they prepared it. They gave it a nice sear via the griddle which not only gave in better flavor but a welcoming crispy texture on the the hot dog's exterior. All the ingredients that accompany the Chicago Dog were great and I was very fond of the pickles and peppers. They put just enough celery salt as well. One thing I would suggest is that they warm up their buns somehow to give them that warm soft moist texture. My bun was cold which gave it a bit of a dry texture and it split at the seams as I was eating it.They let you modify your hot dogs. For instance, I exchanged the regular mustard for the deli mustard because I am a rebel! The couple who run the food stand are very nice and welcoming.

There's this little Farmer's Market I've been slowly making my way through over the last several months. I'd always made a point eventually come to Delish Dogs, but there always seemed to be another food stand opening up that caught my eye before stopping here to order. Well, a few weeks ago, I finally took the chance and ordered up a Polish Sausage. And it wasn't bad.First off, the bun was a perfect choice. Lightly sweet, large to hold everything they slather on, and firm enough that it didn't break under the weight of the meat and condiments. And those condiments, great proportions to everything else to ensure that they don't overwhelm anything. As for the meat itself, it had a nice sear to the exterior casing, but the meat was very soft and lacking in the lightly salted, rich flavor I was hoping for. It wasn't bad, far from it, it was just a bit ... average. I think this may stem from my misguided expectations of a specific style of "Polish Sausage" (something very firm with subtle spice and a bit of heat on the backend is what I'm used to) while that term can mean any one of many upon many different styles and flavors. It's one thing to order a Chicago Dog and be grouchy that it's missing the pickle, but another thing to fault Delish Dog for not having the one type of Polish Sausage I'm used to. It also doesn't help that I've had the fare over at Dog Haus in San Diego.Anyway, the price isn't too bad, especially for a food truck; I remember only paying about $4.50 for my meal with the only upcharge being the deli mustard they topped off my dog with. And the couple behind the counter were delightful; fun to chat with for a few minutes while everything was prepared.I'm sure I'll be back eventually, if only to try a Chili Dog or maybe one of those Pineapple Express which really captures the imagination from the menu. With the cost and convenience of it being nearby my office, it's easy to want to come by and try again.
