It's a gyro shop with coffee. Small place to sit and eat but the food is great for a grab and go. You can get a full meal for under $10. The coffee and chai tea is nice. Better than Starbucks but the prices have gone up. The gyros are good whatever the style. Just buy the gyros and go. The specials are nice but the gyros are filling. The falafel is just ok. I always buy wanting falafel and find myself a little disappointed.

This is a review of carry-out from Deli Shez Cafe.Deli Shez is a little gyro shop in the heart of Belltown.http://tinyurl.com/k7joz73First, I really do dislike giving local neighborhood shops harsh reviews. But, in this case, it is what it is. I tried to figure out a way to justify a two star review and I just couldn't do it.The staff was relatively friendly to me. However, when I first arrived it appeared as if the two men working there were having a disagreement. This is just something customers should never see. The food took around 10 minutes to prepare. The ambiance is very basic. It is relatively clean but it was a bit haphazard. It just didn't seem like there was pride in the way the space was presented. There was also a foul odor. I couldn't tell whether it was emanating from the kitchen or through the door they had propped open. This door opened into a large parking garage.http://tinyurl.com/pr6497khttp://tinyurl.com/o79ozmqHonestly, if the food rocked, I would generally sweep these weaknesses aside. But the food was bordering on inedible. If I hadn't of had some homemade guacamole and salsa in my fridge and a microwave oven to reheat it, I would've had to toss it. I had the Chicken Gyros Plate. It came with chicken, hummus, rice, salad and pita. Honestly, it was all pretty unappetizing. The chicken had the texture of cold scrambled eggs. The salad was just some shredded lettuce. The pita was cold and hard.As I mentioned before, I doctored it up a bit , reheated it and was able to get a lunch out of it. http://tinyurl.com/ph4zfb8The cost of the plate was $9.89 (including tax).Overall - There were other negatives (and few positives) but the main take away for me was that I simply didn't enjoy the food. To me, it just seemed thrown together. Personally, I do not plan on returning.

I frequently find myself at the bus stop near this cafe, and recently found myself thirsty and with some time to handle that "issue" before my bus arrived.Their Italian Soda wasn't super-fantastic, but it was tasty and fulfilled my craving for one. The owner was very cheerful and funny. Great person to exchange several words with and have a few laughs!I am looking forward to trying the food sometime.

I went here for lunch. There was a long wait and some confusion about my order, but long waits for lunch are normal around here. I'm giving it 2 stars for the food itself. I ordered the meat-and-veggie plate with gyro meat and dolma for the veggie. It came with hummus, a small salad, rice, pita, and tzaziki. * Hummus: Tasty, good texture, plenty of garlic. Too salty, but I like had just gone for 5 mile lunch-run and was craving salt so I was happy about that. I might come back here just for hummus.* Pita: It was fine, a little on the dry side and kind of plain but ok. * Salad: Way too little salad, should have swapped out half the rice to double the salad size. Otherwise it was fine, if boring.* Dolmas: Edible. Very slimy in texture, but flavor was acceptable. * Rice: Too wet, and WAY too much rice. At least it wasn't burnt!* Gyro: Super dry and chewy. Parts were burnt. It was like they forgot the meat on the stovetop.* Tzaziki: Tastes like straight up yogurt. It went straight into the trash can.

This place is a great spot for a hearty lunch. We had the gyro and the fattoush salad with chicken. The salad was super tiny. Not what I was expecting, but it did the trick. the gyro, however, was really tasty. Literally dripping with flavor. We'llCertainly be returning for those.

I always order the lamb gyro and it is always good. Service is great. The restaurant is kept clean. It's nice to be able to sit outside even though there are only a couple of tables.

I tried to stop by today during lunch (12:45pm). They post their hours as 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. However, the door was locked and there was no sign saying they would be closing early or anything. There were employees inside doing something - I waved at them and they saw me, but ignored me. I was interested to try the food, but I don't think I'll be coming back.

I didn't have lots of expectations but I was awfully disappointed still. The rice tastes and looks like the instant rice you get from a store. The meat was so greasy that I didn't want to keep eating it. The only thing salvageable was the tzatziki sauce, but even the bread felt stale. Not sure if this was a one off, but I won't come back. Not sure why everyone else is giving 5 stars.

They reheat the meat out of a bag. The chicken was dry as hell also. The microwaved is used often. I swear I heard them open and close it a few times in the timespan of 20 mins. Hummus was weird tasted like Sabre very chunky and not fresh.
