What an awesome spot for your pizza needs! We came in as a group of 5. Someone had put their name down first, and we went over to the restaurant when our table was ready. We ordered A LOT as a group of 5. For drinks, we had mules and a negroni. For starters, we had beef cheeks, potatoes, cauliflower, and a kale salad. For pizzas, we had a margherita, a crimini (with fancy mushrooms), salami, pepperoni, and a sausage. All the pizzas were delicious. All the appetizers were great as well. The pizza is airy and light. I feel like we could have eaten more slices haha. They add a 20% gratuity to all bills regardless of party size, but it definitely shows in their service. Shoutout to Brittany for taking care of us that night!Street parking only.

LITERALLY THE BEST PIZZA EVER. They don't take reservations, which is a bummer but it's worth the wait every single time. They offer specialty pizza toppings that you can add to any on the menu. Definitely get the jersey salad when you go. Quaint interior. Also if the wait is long go to the cocktail bar next door (Essex) and get a drink and an appetizer

This small restaurant serves my favorite wood-fire pizza in Seattle as well as a great list of wine options. We came on a Sunday evening and were seated after about a 30 minute wait but I've seen very crowded on other nights so I try to do carry-out or arrive right when they open. The restaurant is cozy with limited seating but I think it's worth it for a nice a date night. The staff was lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We tried the meatball appetizer at the waitress's recommendation and they were so moist and delicious! The pizza was crisp with a nice smokiness from the wood-fire oven and the toppings were abundant.Street parking only in this area but you can usually find a spot within a couple blocks.

I was pretty disappointed in Delaney. I saw the less than rave reviews on Yelp, but decided to go anyways since it was recommended by Kenji (probably story for a lot of people). The kale salad dressing was extremely sour, as if it was just pure lemon juice. I make all my own homemade salad dressings, and use lemon often, but this had to just be plain lemon juice absolutely covering the salad. I couldn't even eat the salad and that says a lot because I can eat just about anything. The pizza was also really basic, we ordered the sausage. Nothing exciting about it and really light on cheese and toppings. I wouldn't return. I gave two stars instead of one because I liked our server.

Came here on a Friday night at 8.40 pm and the wait was 1 hour 15 mins for a table. Given that we love the pizza here we hung out at the neighboring Essex bar which shares the appetizers and drink menu with Delancey. We were seated at 10pm. Even though they say they close at 10 the kitchen was open will 10.15pm. They sat more people after us. The vibe was cozy and relaxed. We ordered 2 pizzas between 3 people. We got the Margherita and the white pie. All three of us liked the white pie more than the Margherita pizza. They had topping that you could choose from to add to these pizzas. The specials that they were pineapple ($3) and buttered mushroom ($9). We got buttered mushrooms once earlier and could not way justify the $9 price for it. We skipped any toppings this time. For drinks, my friend asked for the dealers choice mocktail which he didn't end up liking and the server was happy to change it to something else. He got a soda then. I got the red wine which was okay and my boyfriend got the cocktail named Americano which he didn't like. There was also a mixup with our order and we were served 2 margarita pizzas instead of 1. The server quickly took back one without any ifs and buts which was great. Overall I was happy with the service. Though I would like to mention that they do charge a 20 % gratuity by default irrespective of the party size.Overall a great place to get some good pies in Seattle. I would still come back again and wait for 1 hour in the queue (it's better than spending 30 mins finding a parking spot at Cap hill as there is easy street parking available). An added plus is that you can grab some icecream from Frankie and Joes in the same block!

Service? Excellent. Pizza? OG. Delicious. Salads? To die for. Especially the kale. Appetizers? Incredible. Delancey doesn't take reservations for tables under 6 so either plan on waiting 1.5-2hrs if you go during the weekends OR go after 8:30 pm on the weekend / go during the week.Honestly, I would just go back for the kale salad and the cauliflower. Oh, and the cremini pizza. Okay and maybe the Jersey salad. Or the Margherita. Love Delancey.

Excellent wood fired pizza. For those who love coal oven, this is as close as you can get in Seattle. Great salad and the best asparagus I have ever had. Wine was meh but that's ok. Great restaurant. Give your self 90 minutes once you put your name in. Luckily their sister restaurant is next door for cocktails.

Seattle Met magazine included Delancey in the Seattle's top 100 restaurants list. It must be good, right? Hubby loves a good pizza, so we decided to check it off our to-eat list. Conclusion: It is worth some hype, but not nearly as much hype as being worthy of a 1-hour wait or top 100 restaurants list. Some logistics: - It is located at a quiet part of Ballard, north of the central Market Street. Street parking only.- The wait is long. Come early or expect to wait from 30 to 60 min. No reservations except large parties. Two of us arrived at 5:30-ish, and we had two immediate counter seats with a view of the woodfired pizza oven. - Gratuity is included on the bill. The Food:Sausage pizza, $24 - 3.5 StarsAt the first bite, I might have said 4 or maybe even 5 stars. After half a pie, the pizza starts to cool significantly. The bottom gets soggy, and the pizza shape doesn't hold. If you know the New York rule, a pizza slice should be able to bend/fold at the half point, and the rest of the slice should be rigid enough to hold its shape. This became soft and soggy too quickly. The flavor, the sausage, and all of that is good at the first few slices. Then it goes downhill fast. Margherita pizza, $18 - 3.5 Stars, Add Brown Buttered Fancy Mushrooms, $9 - 3 StarsThe pizza itself has the same issue as the sausage pizza. It's good at the start, and then it's not - soft, soggy when cold. The mozzarella, tomato sauce, all of that are good. Adding the fancy mushrooms ended up being a mistake. I love mushrooms. I love all types. But not all types go well on a pizza. Some of the mushroom pieces are very chewy. (They might be slices of chanterelle mushroom, which are chewy.) I am not complaining about the quality of the mushrooms; I am saying the marriage of such mushrooms with the pizza doesn't work. The description said "fancy mushrooms"; I could have asked. Pizza overall: I think their flame/the heat temperature is far too high. With a view of the kitchen, we watched every pizza come out. Quite a few were too burnt - blackened pizza. Ours look good visually and tasted good to start but not after a while. I am guessing the blackened pizza would hold up better, but I don't want to eat blackened pizza, either. Honestly, it's a bit of a fail. Read some of the other reviews, you'll find comments about overly charred pizza. Minus 0.5 stars from overall rating.Melon Salad, $16 - 4 StarsSpendy, but this is very good! Melon slices with vinaigrette, red onions, guacamole spread, and pine nuts. Yummy! The service is excellent. She was very kind and helpful. The interior is basic with minimal deco.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Burrata with pesto was divine. Ordered two pizzas, Romana and spicy salami with addition of mushrooms... did not disappoint. Loved the service too.
