I don't know you, Deano, but I sure do appreciate you opening a bar in La Mesa!So I've only been once but based on that first experience (even though the band cancelled) I'll be back. Hey, I wasn't going for the band anyway but live music is always a plus. What did I just say, live music?! Yep, any place that puts the time into arranging a band gets bonus points in my book even if that band is a "dad band" as described by the bartender.At the end of the night I picked up the tab for my friends and I and it came out to like $120 after tip, and for me, that's a very reasonable night at the bar. No one listen to Katee D. She is a liar who got removed from Deano's for being an aggressive drunk (my group witnessed the whole thing go down) She's bitter hence the bad yelp review. Deano's is an awesome place for all adult ages. Come play bingo or come to a theme night and you are guaranteed to have a good time. The owner is great and the staff works their asses off the make sure everyone is having a good time and taken care of!

Quite often we see Dean and Erika around Santee. We tend to hang out at the same places. We always promise that we're going to visit their pub, Deano's Pub in La Mesa. Finally on a Saturday night I made it to Deano's. I was flying solo as it was a bit late of a start for Becky and we'd already had quite a day.Deano's had a no-cover, free concert featuring Up the Irons (an Iron Maiden tribute band) and Woke Up Dead (a Megadeth tribute band). Iron Maiden and Megadeth are two of my favorite bands. A free double bill metal show? Hellz to the yes!A $13 Lyft and I was dropped off at Deano's. Located in somewhat of an unassuming strip mall, but easy to find at 5286 Baltimore Dr. I walked in and immediately to the left of the entrance is the bar. It is a "low" bar with barrel chairs rather than barstools. Directly behind the bar is a long, narrow counter with barstools for sitting. That is where I posted up in front of the stage. There are plenty of tables/chairs scattered throughout. Deano's Pub also has pool tables and shuffle-board. A plethora of TVs for your sports viewing pleasure.A nice selection of beers on tap at good prices. Vera was the bartender when I first arrived. She was joined by a coworker as it got busier. Nice, easy-going bar with good service! A great place to meet up with your friends and make new ones.

While I mostly frequent Deano's Pub East, if I ever want to catch some music, bar trivia, bingo, or many of the other events they have, this is the place. They serve hard liquor at this location and the bartenders have always been kind and skillfull.

I came in to Deanos this afternoon while doing laundry. The girl at the laundromat suggested I go up there if I want to relax and have a beer and something to eat. I ordered some food from Nonnos and brought it in As they do not serve food, but they allow food to be brought into the establishment. I chatted with the bartender, Amy. This place seems like a lot of fun. They have pool tables, TVs and lots of fun events throughout the week

So. Much. Fun. Came to this bar after dinner and I'm so glad we did. Bartender was extraordinary, kind, welcoming, and brought life to the bar with her charismatic personality. Along with the bar back and DJ, who didn't stop smiling the whole night! They had karaoke going, great selection of drinks, and pool! Wasn't uncomfortably crowded, but had a lively crowd of multiple age groups. Parking was easy, too bad I haven't discovered this spot sooner. It's rare to find affordable drinks, entertainment, and wonderful service at a bar. Very clean and sweet messages in the bathroom. We will be back. Thanks for having us, xo.

If you like dive bars this is the one. Went for a couple drinks visiting from out of town. It was fine.

Service is horrific, I shouldn't have to wait 40 minutes for a drink when it is moderately slow. They don't hire real bartenders here. It's sad the place has a lot of potential, oh yea it's almost a dollar more than other places depending what you order than other nearby bars. There is a reason the place is usually empty
