Came in and had steak only. Sat at the bar. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. The shrimp were massive and delicious too.I like the window where you can see the steak too

Very accommodating. Got a large party in last minute. Great bourbon selection. Good steaks. Sides were just ok (Mac and cheese, smashed potatoes). Appetizers were great (cornbread, cheddar biscuits). Would definitely do again

There are a ton of great restaurants in Nashville, especially those serving steaks and southern fare, and I have to say there have not been many places that we've visited that we have been disappointed in. However, Deacon's was a let down. We had much higher expectations from a high end restaurant. We went with a large party for a birthday party and the general consensus was that it was a disappointment. The food was really overpriced for what you got, I don't mind paying for a great meal, but paying a lot for a meal that is underwhelming is disappointing. I will say the cornbread was fantastic and so was the service. Unfortunately, the rest however was a disappointment.

Friendly service in a casual rustic atmosphere. Ordered the seasonal tomato & burrata salad along with crayfish pasta...so good. Hear a new menu releases next week so I will return soon to check it out. Deacon's is always a great meal out!!

I cannot imagine a better spot for a luxurious meal. The multi-level restaurant is both impossibly elegant (with wine bottles and antique mirrors covering the walls) and whimsical (we were seated by floor-to-ceiling shimmering string lights.) Our waiter, Jared, was the perfect level of attentive. He knew the menu well & offered helpful recommendations. We ended up both ordering the bone-in-ribeye, per his suggestion, & it was divine. Everything I could want from a steak, and more. I was surprised by how much I liked our appetizer, the tuna tartare, which came with these crispy things I can only describe as "fancy pork rinds." The tuna was mild, lemony & perfectly salted. Deacon's New South is the perfect night out !

Came in with some colleagues and received such wonderful service from the gentleman who helped us- he recommended some items as well. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant with many steak meats on display. I ordered the 6 oz steak as the other ones were huge- it was cooked exactly how I asked and was delicious! We ordered the corn bread to start with that was warm with pepper jack inside and served with butter on the side. The sides were also very delicious, I was drooling over the carrots and the sauce they were served with. The smashes potatoes were also soo smooth and buttery!

We visited for the first time for a birthday dinner with friends. Juicy burgers, seasoned to perfection fries, medium cooked 8oz steak frites, and slightly sweet Mac and cheese covered with bread crumbs. The fingerling potatoes were average at best. The roasted chicken boasted flavors of tandoori spices and paired well with the Mac. We had a reservation and were seated immediately and had attentive service throughout the meal. The ambiance was that of a typical nice restaurant, medium lighting, normal volume of chatter and a variety of wardrobe choices from cowboy hats to sun dresses and suits. For the price of the chicken I expected a larger portion.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! We're greeted quickly and, even though we were still waiting for a few of our group to wander in, the server was taking drink orders almost immediately. We had some shareable appetizers among the group (cornbread and succotash are the ones I can remember). Most of the group got steaks (it is a steakhouse after all); I ended up get the corn cacio e pepe, which was so good. I added chicken and it didn't need it, was just fine without.Shorter cocktail and beer list, but what they had was good. Was told the dried meat cooler was viewable on a walk back to the restrooms, so checked that out too.Would definitely recommend Deacon's if you're looking for something a little more upscale and want a break from hot chicken and bars!

Overall a good food experience. The bone in ribeye was cooked as ordered and the sides were excellent. Service was responsive and attentive. The steak was good but not great for the price. Overall experience was a 4 star

I went to Deacons twice while in Nashville on work trips. The first time, it was a fixed menu served in three courses. This is a high-end restaurant. The ambiance and service are excellent. The drink selection is great, and they have some really good bourbons. This place is great for Steak and other meat. Vegetarian Options are limited. I had the Grilled Eggplant. It was slightly less cooked than I would have liked, but it tasted decent.
