De La Torre Cenaduria

I was hungry, I saw the food truck at Super Walmart. I did not know how great my tacos de carnitas would be. I am so glad I ordered 2. So delicious and flavorful. Jessie said they prepare their food fresh, will stop by again.Did not take a picture, because I was hungry.

This food truck finds itself on H Street in Chula Vista where many other food trucks have gotten their careers started or still make residence. De La Torre's cuisine finds its roots in Guadalajara, Mexico and has a sister eatery in Baja,Ca. The food truck is there first venture on this side of the border.I had some interesting, something I have never had, even during my visits to Guadalajara. I had a trio of hard shelled tacos with mashed potatoes inside the tacos, but with fried pork on the outside with the shredded cabbage and pickled onions. You can have the fried pork on the inside as a request. The tacos were $6.50.I liked the crispy nature of the corn tortillas. All the components of the tacos were very good, but on second thought, I would prefer the fried pork on the inside next time for ease of eating. I stuffed the tacos myself with the meat. The pork was tasty and tender and the cabbage mix with the sauce was delicious. One thing I thought the tacos needed was some kind of Mexican cheese to level up the flavor profile of the tacos. A little drizzle of crema fresca would not be to shabby as well. The tacos would pop visually. The staff members were super friendly and in good spirits. These tacos are very good, but they could be even better.

finally real Mexican food...I love it! my family is from Guadalajara and this food truck tastes exactly like the food from there! I highly recommend this!

The food wasn't terrible but it also wasn't goodThe chicken rolled tacos i could eat again but they were small so it was like a snack The beef sope was bad though, it was shredded, flavorless and almost felt undercooked. I couldn't taste the beans and i ate it in 3 small bites.Overall description.. meh ‍I think they have potential. Just need some damn salt and normal portions. The little salsa was fire though.. nice and smokey.

This cenaduria is located in a shared parking with other vendors. I had the Torta ahogada and I took it to go. As others mentioned it was well packed; the portion of carnitas was good and the carnitas had good flavor and not greassy. The tomato sauce was hot, packed in a plastic bag and they gave me plenty tomato sauce; I was kind of disapointed when I saw the hot sauce; it was just a very little container compared to the amount of tomatoe sauce, surprise! it was hot enough for me and I like spicy hot if you like fire hot then ask for a second one. My bread was a bit more tosted than I would like it and it soked in the sauce way too fast. I belive the bread is the hardes to find the correct one for tortas ahogadas out of Gaudalajara.Overall good experience good flavor and I keep trying thier food.

So good! Just ordered 2 tortas ahogadas and tacos dorados through DoorDash and it arrived perfectly packaged! Bread was crunchy and all the flavors were spot on! Definitely will be ordering again.

This place is by far the best authentic Jalisco / Guadalajara Torta aogada by far. They also have tacos de papa dorados and sopes. The food is so delicious. Thank you Mario and cenaduria De la Torre. Customer service is great and food is made when ordered. So every dish is fresh. I'm a customer forever. We will follow you wherever you go. They are now located on 3rd Ave and palomar the old Karina's seafood restaurant. Go give them a try. You won't be disappointed

Very good food but be careful, as I was approaching the place the doors were open to the trailer. I saw the cook cleaning his nose with a brown napkin, I went around to make sure he would wash his hands before handling food, NOPE he put the same napkin on the white table where the food goes . I was so disappointed, I love the food here, but I won't be coming back. I hope it was not the owner and maybe they can fix tit.
