DC Steak House

Years ago this was downtown Chandler's answer to an upscale steakhouse.In 2010, a Wisconsin native opened up DC Steakhouse in the historic square area. They became popular and did well. Years later, they moved to a swanky, modern spot around the corner complete with an enlarged outdoor patio and deluxe fire feature. Food: 2 starsEven though I love the physical improvements, my two stars are for the taste and value of the food. With many quality steakhouses around, the taste of my Mother's Day rib eye here lacked the rich and savory flavors that one expects from high end steakhouse. Their salad dressing was delicious but the "loaded potato" fell flat. The chocolate layer cake was also below average.Service: 5 starsOur server, Paige provided courteous and attentive service during our 90 min stay.Ambiance: 4 starsAn elegant white table cloth but comfortable fine dining setting.We had a nice experience but they need to improve their cuisine to the high standards set by fellow restaurants in the area to justify their upscale prices. *Note-A discount option is offered on the bill when paying with cash as opposed to non-cash.

I have been wanting to try this place as another option to my regular steakhouse.This place is all hype and about 30% more compared to other chain steakhouses.The steak was cooked well but the flavor was average at best and the overall price to quality wasn't there. The baked potato was a little dry and flavorless. The salad was average.I think it sucks you have to pay for bread when the steaks cost more but not better quality than elsewhere.Honestly, the only thing this place has is its "fancy" inside and that's it. The waitress did her job.If you are looking for an upscale atmosphere with an average at best steak then this is the place for you.

All "Steakhouses" are different but the no flexibility with the sides had me scratching my head. I was disappointed as I was told no flexibility in terms of the side which in return made my desired steak meal "subpar". The complement to the steak is a Baked Potato. I get it, but when you have many sides, there should be a way to blend the two and create the ideal meal. Celebrating a group party I decided to go with the 8-ounce fillet, house salad & as a shared side, the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Initially, I requested no baked potato however, it still came out with my meal (maybe so my steak could have some company on the plate). My steak was cooked just right, medium as requested. It was the best part of the dinner. Unfortunately, the lobster mac & cheese was bland and despite having some crumbled breading to complement it, it only changed the texture & not the flavor. Very bland and smelled more fishy than expected. For my cocktail, started with the Mezcal smoky cocktail, and that also was extremely good.All other meals were spot on except for one where the request for the steak was to be medium and it seemed more on the well-done spectrum. We did have the option to send it back, but given the fact that everyone was eating, they decided to just keep what they had. I do like the location and the settings however, the experience with the group that night didn't really stand out for me. I was expecting a higher-end-styled steakhouse, but it missed the mark for me.

Our waitress, Diana (blonde hair and glasses) I believe that was her name, was wonderful. Great customer service, super sweet, and checked up on us many times. Loved how they still had holiday decor and when my boyfriend and as the night went on my boyfriend and I were basically the only ones in the restaurant. It was nice! Felt like we were the only ones there for our date night of celebrating out anniversary. I got the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries and it was delicious! I would definitely come back. They some really good music too and felt like we traveled back in time. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!

First time at DC Steak House and I have to say I was not disappointed. I love what downtown chandler is doing to revamp and make the area more attractive and DC Steak House really adds to that. The place looks upscale and modern and delivers a memorable experience. We were seated outside per preference and the patio was really nice and since the nights are cooling off it's getting nicer and nicer to sit outside. While we were seated quickly, the rest of the service did not follow. We sat there for a while before water came out and than again before our order was taken. Perhaps they were short staffed but it was a Tuesday night... We ordered the pan fried chicken over pasta and the New York strip. Along with a signature cocktail. No complaints about the food. It was cooked well and it tasted great. There were no complaints about the food. Overall, great night spot. Whether you want fancy date night or casual dining DC Steak House delivers on both fronts. Give it a shot!

Tonight I dined on ribeye with asparagus draped in hollandaise sauce, shrimp. Yes baked potatoes, delightful bread, house, salad, and some good Caesar dressing I love low light, ambience and special moments in time -with my favorite man. *Go midweek, quieter times & enjoy the moment* (kind service staff)

Have been here twice and neither time did it disappoint! I got the Halibut which was one of the specials on the menu and it had to be the best halibut I have ever had. The steak was also cooked perfectly. Went here one of the times for a birthday and they treated us so special. Service has always been 10/10, I will definitely be back in the future.

Recently dined here for Happy Hour. Service was perfection. The two bartenders were personable and provided great recommendations. Love the food and ambiance, but sadly, VERY disappointed that there is a credit card fee. Would not have expected this from a fine dining restaurant. Credit card processing is an operating cost and should not be charged to a customer. We live in a non- cash society. You are a profitable restaurant based on your prices and full dining room, I find it a bit greedy to charge the guest. I'm guessing your average check is over 100.00 per person. Not many people carry that amount of cash on them. At minimum, you should post that clearly on your website.

I understand the cost of goods and employees have increased but this place will nickel and dime you to death!!! They aren't charging for water yet,,,,, but assuming that's around the corner.
