Service was promptly and server(s) were very nice and willing to explain the menu should you have any questions. Drinks were at the table were within 5 or so mins and they give a freebie of fresh made chips and sweet and sour to dip in. Food wasn't very long after we ordered, 4 of us, it was nice and hot/fresh. Our drinks were kept full and we were checked in on often if we needed anything even though the restaurant was fairly full and busy. My personal opinion about the teriyaki chicken was that it had a fairly strong taste of peanuts. So should you have allergies be cautious. The wife had the Shrimp and vegetables. The portions was pretty large for a lunch menu so the wife and I each shared to get a biggie variety. I do recommend the lunch specials so long as it's before 3pm.The restroom was a fair sized but might have an issue if you use a wheelchair. The bathroom is a unisex and only seen one in total. The restaurant was playing some music and it was still ok to have a conversation with the opposite side of the table. Though it could be a lil tough if your a bit hard of hearing. With regard to any discounts, I failed to ask so my apologies with that. All told I'll certainly return here should I be in this area of the valley. I'd not hesitate to send my family and friends here.

First off, let me clarify that it's Dao Kitchen, not Tao Kitchen. So, we were in the mood for some Chinese food and stumbled upon this place on a Sunday afternoon. The decor was pretty traditional - dark brown wood tables and chairs, with a couple of cozy private rooms in the back. We were able to choose our own table, which was a nice touch. We asked our waiter for some recommendations, and ended up ordering the beef chow fun, green beans delight, and Singapore noodles. The beef chow fun was a hit - super flavorful and delicious. However, the green beans delight was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the Singapore noodles were on the salty side.On the bright side, our waiter was really friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. Honestly, I really wanted to love this place, but the food just didn't quite hit the mark for me.

I've been looking for a decent Chinese restaurant for 7 years since I've moved to Phoenix. I believe I've finally found it. Excellent friendly services with a smile. No "No substitutions". They seem very flexible and accommodating to the customer. The food is made very clean and fresh. I definitely recommend you give it a shot even if it is a bit of a drive. It's worth the extra mile. I will definitely be coming back to try other items. :)

Maybe our expectations were high because all the reviews but the chicken was too chewy (seemed fake) and drenched in sauce. Ended up throwing away half after spending $40 on 2 entrees. Expensive and mediocre at best

We had high hopes for this spot just walking in the door. It was very clean and nicely decorated, wonderful music playing. Everyone was friendly and our servers were extremely attentive. We were given a bowl of fried wontons with our drinks. The menu is extensive. We shared the crab puffs appetizer and had a couple vegetable egg rolls. The crab puffs had good flavor. The egg rolls were probably the best I've found in Arizona. Coming from the Midwest all the egg rolls we've tried out here have been more like spring rolls. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef and sweet and sour pork combo. The beef was a tad too sweet and while the SS pork was good, it tasted like maybe the fryer oil needed a change. I got shrimp pad Thai and was pleasantly surprised to find TEN huge shrimp in my dish! The pad Thai was a bit of a let down. It definitely had waaaay too much ginger. All in all it was a good experience and we'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

I could eat the Lo Mein from Dao Kitchen every. Single. Day. The beef was incredibly tender and I added vegetables with were cooked to perfection. Our food took a little while to come out and they brought free cream cheese puffs to hold us over, which was thoughtful and much appreciated. The hot and sour soup was one of the best I've had and kept us patient till the main courses came out. Which were seriously worth the wait! Service is nice and friendly, and the music they play makes you feel like you're at a spa. I was relaxed, happy, full and tired by the end of dinner. Highly recommend this place!

Love love love this place !!! It's got a soothing atmosphere and relaxing ambiance. It's small and cozy and has comfy booths along with tables and what looked like possibly a bar area. I came here on my hour lunch break and was in and out with plenty of time to eat and breathe before going back into work. I was greeted with kindness and they were very attentive to me. For starters they brought out wonton chips and sweet sauce to dip, my favorite ! My lunch came with the entree of choice, a cup of soup, fried rice, a crab puff and a veggie egg roll for 10.95!! What a great price for all this food and for how delicious it was, I will definitely be back. The soup choices were egg drop or hot and sour. I chose hot and sour and it was so yummy and flavorful! I also got a side of soft noodles just because those are my favorite and it was so worth it. I'm so glad I tried this place !
