This spot was so good and the servers are so nice and helpful. Always a plus when there's a parking lot provided too. If you enjoy sharing food this is the perfect spot to go with coworkers, friends, family. The chili momo was my favorite. Heads up to spice lovers: it's not very spicy! Despite that the flavor is incredible!! Perfect texture. The chicken biryani was probably the most flavorful of all the dishes we had. A very distinct taste, I unfortunately cannot even put into words as I've never tasted a dish like this before! There were so many flavors to it and a nice yogurt dressing to put on top. This wasn't my favorite dish but definitely worth sharing as a table. The butter chicken was delicious, again not very spicy but they do ask how spicy you want it so dare I say go with a higher number than usual if you want it hot! The curry was perfectly creamy and deliciously paired with garlic cheese naan Lastly the chicken thali! This was my attempt to try new things instead of my go to curry. If you're ok with getting out of your comfort zone you must try this! Or share it! It comes with a little bit of many items (see their online menu) and all of it was amazing. They offer different meat options or no meat too. I would definitely get this to share again next time!

WARNING!! I'm leaving this a review for food allergy sufferer's and to prevent loss of life. I myself have an anaphylaxis allergy to shellfish and ended up in the ER after dinning here. I explained to the server the severity of my allergy and asked if what I wanted to order could be safely prepared and they said the kitchen will be safe. I even explained everything needs to be sanitized, gloves changed, etc. and my friend also reiterated the severity. Unfortunately it was not safe and I ended up in the ER on my way home.I tried contacting the restaurant several times to speak with the manger about the incident, however they were never there. I ended up leaving my contact information and they called me once but unfortunately missed their call. It's now been over 3 weeks and they have yet to return any of my voicemails and now have to pursue legal action to address the avoidable medical bill I incurred due to their negligence. I hope this review will safe others unnecessary grief and lives.

I went for dinner with family to try out this Himalayan cuisine. It is a good place to try out appetizers. However the main course was not that appealing.I tried veg Momos, veg noodles those were good, we ordered achari paneer but the grave was not consistency, however staff helped us to replace with another curry Malai kofta, it was better but not up to that mark.If you love to try out Momos and other snacks, this place is good to visit.

Vijay was our wonderful server today as we tried to Nepali cuisine for the first time. The restaurant was very artfully decorated, the ambience was quiet and great for tasty family dinners in a casually elegant setting, and there was plenty of spaces to seat depending on our preference. Online menu provides a thorough description of the different foods, and the menu in the restaurant provides delicious looking pictures. Vijay was awesome in terms of providing informative and helpful detail about the ingredients in the food so that my parents can make a thoughtful and decision about the right dishes for our lunch. We ordered the chicken jhol Momo, the chicken thali, chicken curry, and chicken tandoori.Highly recommend all the dishes, my favorite was the chicken Momo because of the Himalayan soup. We found out that the Himalayan soup was tomato and soy bean from Vijay. What did we like about this restaurant? The service was fantastic. Five stars out of five stars for the service. Vijay was very patient and you could tell that he really cared about providing and informative decision. Also he went above and beyond to make sure my mom felt comfortable placing her leftovers in heat-safe containers and found her a foil container rather than the plastic- and also was patient in all our back and forth indecisiveness. Thanks Vijay, we loved the meal here. Also, nepalese cuisine is now probably one of my favorites handsdown. I am already craving their dishes and I just ate lunch here, For those who haven't tried Nepali foods, it's truly a mix of Indian and Asian, with more influence from the Indian side but distinctly different from Indian cuisine. Even for the dishes that seem to be normal in Indian cuisine like tandoori or curry, the dish is prepared in a way that tastes unique from all the other ones I've ever ordered from past Indian restaurants and I love it!! Sad to say Los Angeles does not have a Dancing Yak yet but, happily SD and SF both do.Thanks also to the Dancing Yak chefs! We asked for low sodium because of doctor's orders, and they delivered superbly. Delicious!

The restaurant is pretty spacious and open and the design and decor makes you feel like you are sitting in a spot in Nepal to a certain degree. The service is also personable and they answer any questions you may have succinctly. They have a great variety of options to try from momo plates to pakoras and somosas to curries and noodle dishes and tandoori selections. They also have classic dishes such as Aloo Mataar which is a personal favorite of mine and their house naan is also very well made especially with their different flavorings added. I feel that their Biryani could be adjusted slightly in terms of the cook on it and some of the chicken curry dishes could be a bit more balanced; but overall it is a great spot to come with a group and try a lot of different things and discover new dishes.ProTip: They have a great variety of spice levels if you are more inclined to order from the more mild side of the spectrum.

Came with a dinner and there was a steady flow of people coming for dining after us. In terms of ambiance, the place is spacey while exuding a relaxed and casual feel to it. There was only one waitress waiting on everyone and she was very attentive and hardworking in my opinion. In total, we had an order of samosas, chicken biryani, and chicken tikka masala with an order of cilantro garlic naan. In terms of presentation and flavor, definitely wow'ed by them I would say. We don't have Indian food often, but this beats whatever we can get at home at a very decent price and the portion sizes were nothing to scoff at. To start, I had the medium in their chicken biryani and the heat build up was amazing tasty, but painful towards the end as I wasn't used to all of the spices. All of the spices are in the biryani so be cautious as you eat too. The chicken in it weren't overcooked and were full of flavor and moist to the bite. For the samosas, they weren't bad. Decent for what they are and adequate spiced. Lastly, the naan and chicken tikka masala were classically executed. Plenty of chicken in it and sauce to accompany the rice and naan. As I'm not versed in Indian cuisine, I personally thought the flavors were very evenly balanced and not overbearing. Despite ordering the medium for the chicken biryani, I was able to handle it until the end where it just got too much. To be fair, the portion size is probably for two people, but since we were traveling, I decided to just eat it all. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and wouldn't mind coming back for another go at other options. Worth a try to formulate your own opinions!

Was here when they first opened and loved it, but they're even better now. Met up with some friends to enjoy my personal favorite, momos! Yak momos aren't always on the menu, but they had them and we LOVED them. Try the Masala Chai too, it's comforting and the spices are warming.

This place is a hidden gem. Come by and order the spicy yak dumplings and you'll be dreaming of dancing yak forever! The butter chicken was also amazing and I would get again! The Nepali Thali (chicken) was good but is composed of mostly cold side dishes. It's a nice spacious restaurant with booth seating as well as floor seating (a nod to tradition). There cute decor around that makes you feel like you're genuinely in the Himalayas. Staff is super friendly and patient. Food comes pretty quickly!

Am not Dancing! Food taste is still pretty good. The naan is a bit tough/chewy. Good naans have that light crispy bite to it and is very easy to chew. These naans ain't that. Ordered 3 to boot. Ugh. Ordered take out today. This is always a risk as most people do not check the bag before they leave. It is take out after all. Anyway, get home, chicken vindaloo was good, reasonable pieces of chicken but they were small pieces. Also had chicken tikka masala. I think I found 4 small pieces of chicken. Yes only 4. Thankfully I had just bought a Costco baked chicken the other day so pulled some breast meat off it and put it in the masala. $16 I expect more than 4 pieces of chicken. The rice box was only 1/2 full? What gives? Chinese takeout the rice box is so full the rice is oozing out the box. Now to the raita. $3 for a side of raita. What I got was a tasting sample, I think. It was the size of those plastic little cups you see at fast food place for ketchup to dip your fries. In this case I had raita. This is unacceptable to be paying that much for what amounts to a tablespoon. I already mentioned the naan. Oh well. Might still come back because the curry is well made as far as taste goes. Might have to eat in so I can make sure they give enough meat in the dish and don't skimp on the raita.

Service was good. Food was solid. It was quite empty when we came in, but food and service was good nonetheless. We both got the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan. My friend also ordered a mango lassi. I tried the Taj Mahal lager. It was pretty good. Pretty solid if you are looking for a quick Indian fix. Ample parking.
