Dan’s Hot Dogs

I haven't eaten here since I was 8 years old and was pleasantly surprised that the service has remained the same even though it is under different management.The Chicago style dog was just right and I loved the fresh cut fries. The pineapple milkshake was the bomb!!!!Only drawback is that it's CASH ONLY so make sure you stop at that ATM before you come here!

The food is great! The lady and young man that works here are great people. But the older Caucasian guy is very disrespectful. I ordered a banana split today. The ice cream was melted before he handed it to me. He gave me two napkins knowing it was a big mess. I took the split anyway went to the car then realized the bananas were rotten. I went back in and told the man. He was very rude and argued that it's hot out side. Which has nothing to do with anything because when I travel on Cicero to Andy's my sundae would still be solid coming out the drive thru window. I only came to Dan's because it's in the area. He proceeded to give me a refund and took the split back. While waiting on my refund I was talking to another customer, the man that works at dans asked if the customer was my lawyer and told us toShut the f*** up. Also My banana split was $6.00 and he only refunded me $5... if the rude man reads this, this is how a banana split should look.. idiot !

Dan's a great neighborhood spot. The wait can be long, but it's totally worth it. The food is made to order. I love a classic Chicago dog and a pineapple shake. The shakes aren't too thick which I appreciate. My husband loves the fire polish. It's hot! We've had other things, but those are our go-tos.

Been enjoying Dan's Hot dogs since the 70's, their great tasting dogs hasn't changed one bit. Chili is outstanding.

This place gave me a hamburger raw (red) in the inside. I returned the food for refund. The owner told me to leave store or take $2 for burger. This is a terrible so called food business. Don't waste your time!
