Always a favorite! Great food and service. Blue crab dip with the pita bread is my favorite.

I went for the steak. My date went for the pizza. We were both satisfied.The steak was well cooked, a nice medium well. It had a nice sear and was lightly seasoned. However, and I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, it was topped with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes. I would have liked something green (something firm like fresh green beans, or grilled asparagus) on my plate, though.The pizza was pretty good. The crust was tasty but I did think the pepperoni was a tad too salty. My date finished the whole thing. I haven't seen her eat that much (relatively) since she was a little girl.The restaurant has the potential to be loud but they've added some baffles in the ceiling. Our fellow diners weren't too crazy, though and the noise level was comfortable. Our server Rachel was friendly and attentive.

My husband and I stopped in here for a day date lunch while visiting my folks from out of town. The reviews didn't disappoint! It was bumping on the Monday before Christmas but we didn't wait more than 15-20 mins.We shared the blackened salmon salad and the chicken salad sandwich. The "pomtoms" (house-made sun-dried tomatoes) were fantastic! We also were impressed with the fresh bread. Everything was delicious! Next time we visit the area, we'd definitely stop in again. The pizzas all looked amazing!

I came back with a small group, and we really enjoyed our dinner! I tried the seafood special: scallops with spaghetti squash and sugar snap peas in a basil sauce. It was amazing!

Love the evening vibe. The blue claw crab appetizer dip was sweet and yummy. Good for sharing with 2-3 people. The pizza was a hit. I ordered the wood roasted salmon.. simple and tasty. My husband had the pork chop which he loved. My daughter had the pumpkin ravioli which she also enjoyed. The wine selection is nice and the house wine was a great price for a quality glass. Staff is attentive. Family oriented and in a nice quaint tower center area with a few shops. Solid choice with creative food selections.

Always great food, no matter you order. A bonus is the staff doesn't give the evil eye when ordering drinks at 1140a. Ambience is warm and comfortable . Ordered a couple pizzas. Both were terrific. The wood burning oven makes a huge difference for pizza.

Zanata is the spot to go in Rockwall if you want upscale food in a casual rustic setting. The bar area is nice if you want to just have drinks or get a quick bite to eat but seating is limited so plan on arriving early if you want to get a seat. The pizzas here are very good - my favorite is the San Jacinto with a caprese salad. They also have upscale entree selections to choose from. Be forewarned though, acoustics in the restaurant make it on the loud side when the restaurant is at capacity so if you're looking for something quiet and intimate, this will not be the place. However, if you're looking for great food, good service and great drinks, you'll find it here!

I went on Thursday night, which seemed super busy. Service was great. I ordered the pork chop and it was just ok, some spots overcooked while others were ok. Wouldn't order this again.

Wow what a find this place is!! We came to town to eat at another mom and pop but they aren't open on Sunday so we ended up at Zanata. Honestly this was a pleasant surprise.We arrived right at 5 o'clock and we're probably seated only to find out that apparently they get very crowded as it neared 530 there was quite a wait .I had the meatballs which were plenty for me, because we also shared the crab dip which came with lots of great bread. Everything is made from scratch and cooked in a brick oven, which sends it to a whole Other level. we happen to be here on Sunday and found out that bottles of wine or half price so that was another pleasant surpriseNow it's gonna be real hard not to come here when I'm in town after my experience, it was great l!!Add it to the love list

Great ambiance for work events or date dinners. Very good food with lots of fun and tasty options. As you would expect the meal is a bit pricey for what you get - that's Rockwall though. The only gripe is with the wait. It takes a while to get a table here, and even longer to get your food. This is a great place if you expect to relax, get cocktails, try a few plates, and be at a restaurant for no less than 2.5, or closer to 3 hours
