We attended as a guest for a birthday party so this review is just for that. The hosts were enthusiastic, interactive and inclusive to all the kids. It was 90 minutes long which included time to eat their cooked creations. My daughter loved the experience so well that she asked for her next birthday to be there. For this age group, the made pizza from scratch and decorated a cupcake. Just as a heads-up, only two parents are allowed in the kitchen at a time, but parents can watch through the big window the whole time.

I was not impressed with what my kid got for $20 per hour cooking classes. First off there were 2 cooking stations for 10 kids, and the kids were not seated at the cooking stations, rather at metal tables around the perimeter of the room. I would say this is more of a cooking demonstration than a cooking class. The kids did not appear to be cooking anything during the times I was observing. They seemed to be watching the instructors do the cooking.I don't think my daughter learned anything in this class, and I wasn't able to try any of the food that the kids "cooked" because of a weird rule they have that the food can't be taken home. Why would you not let kids take home the food they supposedly made?

I did my daughter's 5th birthday at this location over the weekend and it was the most fun and stress free birthday of all times. Their package for birthday party was great including fun activities, food & drinks supplied and also taken care of goody bags. I took around 20 kids from ages 4-14 both boys and girls. Each of the kid enjoyed making pizzas, decorating cupcakes and coloring their chef hats. They have engaging activities and even the older kids weren't bored either. My birthday girl felt very special as they had given her the attention specifically as well. We adults were 7-10 in number and had a good room to roam around and have pizza & drinks(which I purchased separately).

Friday night night out for the parents and kids got to have fun cooking. Drop off at 6 and pickup at 8:45. Kids all seemed to be having a great time when we got there. $38 per kid so pretty great deal. They had milkshakes, sloppy joes, corn cakes and cookies- she said she wants to do it again!

I have to agree with Chris' review. My daughter started out loving it here and then one teacher just totally destroyed it for her. The teacher was mean and wouldn't let her do anything. She was heartbroken and was honestly scared to go back.

We had our 8yo's birthday party there today and it was fantastic. The two ladies on staff were very polite and helpful. I needed some flexibility on starting as a few attendees were running late, and there was no pushback on accommodating this. Once the party started, I was actually able to sit and chat with a mom friend in the hallway almost the entire time (I could see the class going on through the window). The staff were very kid-friendly and engaging, and could handle the group. I didn't have to interject and use my "mom voice" at all! Although I didn't eat the pizza that was made, it must have been delicious because the attendees gobbled it up. The staff provided drinks (I forgot mine) and a knife for the cake (forgot that also). Once the class wrapped up, the staff cleaned and I was able to take what I brought in and leave within five minutes. I'm SO glad I had the birthday party here. I got so many compliments on the idea, the girls had so much fun, and it was all just so easy!! Highly recommend!!

My daughter had her 8th bday party here and everyone had a blast. We did the pasta party and chef joseph was so interactive and helpful with the instructions! This is such a fun, unique option for a party and there was plenty of room for all 12 girls! I definitely recommend and will be sending family and friends as well. Thanks Young Chefs Academy team

My granddaughter who is 15 and a half signed her up for cooking classes, she does a really great job of cooking at home was not impressed with this class. She is being taught by a 15 year old, plastic knives to cut, with learning how to measure I thought it was learning how to cook! 299 for the week waste of money she did two days not going back I should have checked the reviews. I expected a culinary person or similar who would teach her something worth the 299 dollars.

Last night 6-7-22 at 6pm at the Frisco Texas location was his first official class. I dropped him off and came back at 7:20pm. Immediately upon arriving I could hear teacher Traci putting down the children. There were two little boys talking about how stuffed shells are similar to raviolis, she literally jumped down their throat's that they were so wrong and that they knew nothing, she invited the parents in and from the very beginning she was rolling her eyes and acting like the class was so horrible. She asked the students what was in the wet bowl and a student replied wet ingredients, she replied to him that he better not get smart with her. She asked the students what is compound butter and another student replied that it was compounded ingredients and she replied to that student don't you backmouth me. at the beginning of the class she asked the students what could be in compound better and my son replied breadcrumbs. She literally laughed in his face. At the end of the class I asked her if she was the teacher for the Thursday or Saturday class and she replied no I said that's good because I'm going to file a complaint and change my sons class day. She laughed in my face and said good luck with that. My son said that what the parent saw was nothing compared to how she treated the students during the whole class behind closed doors. She's a very bad representation of Young Chefs Academy. My son will not be coming back if she is ever his teacher. Also, he does not believe he can learn any new culinary skills under thatnegativity.

My 8yo attended a summer camp there earlier this month and had a wonderful time. The teaching staff during the week were rotated, attentive and kind, she made new friends, got hands-on time with ingredients and cooking process, collected recipes to make at home and asked if she can go again. I'm a happy parent.
