Wood &Time Smokehouse

Thank you for opening on Jul 4th and keeping those of us who have folks visiting and cannot stay home fed!!This was my first time at Wood & Time smokehouse, but it certainly would not be the last! Located in the historic downtown of Farmersville, you can smell the yummy smoked meats from a block away!We ordered the 2 meats plate: cheddar jalapeño sausage and sliced briskets. Our 2 choice of slides were onion rings and mac and cheese. Everything was so delicious. The meats were tender, juicy, smoky, and flavorful. The onion rings were freshly fried, lightly battered, and crispy. The Mac and cheese was my husband's favorite,Overall, a fantastic little local place!

I feel my life has changed back for the better! After my bout of Covid, over two years ago, I was unable to go to a nearby favorite BBQ place. My taste and smell changed and I could not tolerate the heavy smoke of their meats. Today, my wife and I went to Wood & Time and my taste for BBQ has been revived and I am so happy!!! My wife even thought the chopped beef sandwich was the best she had ever had! We will definitely be back soon and often!

I've heard and read good things about this place. Went in for lunch and got a two meat plate. Brisket didn't have much flavor and no bark. Not to mention I thought they are a little stingy on the brisket. Jalapeño cheddar sausage was good. The beans were good, mashed potatoes were just regular mashed potatoes. I hate to say it but this place did not live up to the hype.

Oh man! Early Friday night dinner (4:00pm / Jan 19, 2024) between school and basketball games, this place always hits the spot. Special tonight was brisket quesadillas and these are special. Deep fried tortilla and covered in pico de gallo and sour cream made for a really unique texture and taste. Nicely done y'all! Wife had the steak burger. She ate it all- musta been good. Bill for both came to $32 but they were also on special tonight. Place was fairly empty so lots of seating. Bar was open and nicely stocked also.

My family and I absolutely LOVE everything about this place! The food is amazing, the staff is top notch and love the atmosphere. Tried the Mac and cheese and it's the best I ve ever had in my life! No more fries for me! Even though those are good too. Cakes are delicious as well!

Good BBQ!Incredible eatery for the little town nice enjoyable, quiet, good atmosphere .If you live in town, this is a great place to order dinner.. if you're passing by, this is great place to stop ,eat dinner lunch and just take a few steps around the area to enjoy the hometown of Farmersville..

I love the atmosphere here! Friendly and courteous staff! I love the bacon cheese burger!, loaded baked potatoes, potatoe salad , banana pudding! Great place for lunch or dinner!

I've loved this place for several years. As in eat here at least once a week. Usually twice a week. it's just that good! I like to frequently places that don't just have good food BUT also have good people. This place definitely has both. I like refer to people by name. Share a smile with them. Basically feed my body & my community's heart. There is this man named Monroe who always makes eye contact with me and shares his gentle smile & ask how you doing sister? I smile and say good & you? Today they fed me & we connected in a beautiful way. Thank you!!!

We stopped in today for a quick bite. We've drove by this location many times and finally decided to stop in to see how good the food would be. I have to say, after entering the place is really nice and well decorated. We had ribs, turkey, chicken, and some sausage and everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty the food was and I would recommend anyone stopping in for some barbecue or even the banana pudding, which was fantastic. We will def be back soon.

Great environment. Live band periodically. Always slow service. Takes forever to get food. Haven't had a TABC bartender for months. Barbecue is ok...I've had better. For me, when there is a line, not worth the wait.
