I'd say this place is closer to 3.5/3.7 than 4 stars but since we can only do full stars I don't think 3 stars is fair. Both food and service were the same. Good and better than average but nothing really stood out. We ordered the beef combo A. The boneless short rib was really good... everything else after that was pretty average.

A surprisingly good KBBQ experience in Plano, far away from the Koreatowns of DFW. Won was my first a la carte KBBQ meal and I've been avoiding it because I was worried it would ruin AYCE for me and then I'd be poor lol. While AYCE isn't ruined, I'll say Won is a great place to eat if you tryna splurge. The quality of meat is top notch so while it costs more, you get more. I went with my partner and ordered the beef combo A, which is for about 2 people for $109 in Dec 2024. Marbling on the meat was fantastic and the servers cooking were so quick and knew what they were doing so each piece was cooked to be juicy and tender. I will say I kind of missed cooking it myself but hey it's part of what you're paying for. Plus they're the pros. The banchan was decent but maybe I'm just basic and really like fish cake. So I was sad they didn't have any. The kimchi goes hard though. Very spicy but also very good. I heard they make it in house. Other than the kimchi I wouldn't say the rest of the side dishes were standout. When you come in they'll ask if you're eating bbq or just ordering from the kitchen. The restaurant is separated half and half, maybe so non-bbq folks don't have to breathe in the smoke. I'd be interested to see how the non-bbq food is given how good the Kbbq is. All in all, a solid a la carte KBBQ joint. For special occasions or when I'm just craving some luxury, Won is on my list.

I dropped by Won BBQ for lunch on a Sunday, and the restaurant was half full, creating a lively but not overcrowded vibe. I'd been looking forward to trying this place, and it didn't disappoint. The menu offers a bit of everything--BBQ, tofu soup, seolleongtang, and rice bowls--so there's something for everyone. The interior is bright and spacious, with plenty of seating options. They have separate tables for BBQ and other dishes, and we opted for a non-BBQ table. There is complimentary hot barley tea upon request but otherwise they offer a jug of cold water. We ordered the Tofu Soup combo with LA Galbi, Stir Fried Chicken Wings with Spicy Sauce, Cold Noodle Soup, and Sweet & Sour Pork. The small side dishes were plentiful; while most were just alright, I really enjoyed the seaweed salad. The tofu soup was a standout--delicious and just the right amount of spicy, with tender meat that added depth. The LA Galbi came with five generous pieces, and the portion size was perfect for one person-size. The chicken wings looked like they would be spicy and crunchy, but they were actually sweet with just a hint of heat, which was a bit unexpected. The cold noodles, served over ice, were refreshing and had a nice balance of sour and sweet flavors.Overall, Won BBQ offers a unique blend of cuisines from the area between Korea and northern China, making it a great spot to experience the best of both worlds. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing KBBQ spot in Plano! Coming from the bay area, we have had our fair share of good KBBQ and Won definitely delivers in terms of both quality and quantity!First of all, the staff here are fantastic. They cook everything for you so all you have to do is focus on eating, plus they were generally quite attentive throughout our meal.Moving onto the food, we ordered the seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) to start and chose the beef & pork combo A ($90), and we definitely were not expecting the sizable portion of meat that came to our table. We managed to finish up most of the beef since they cooked it first, and we ended up taking a good amount of the pork plus half of the seafood pancake home with us as leftovers. The KBBQ also came with corn cheese (so good!), steamed egg, and soybean soup. Loved everything!

Great KBBQ in Plano! The meat quality here was definitely up there. Cuts were tender and the waiters that cook for you at your table, did a great job cooking the meat - tender and juicy. They also had a good selection of banchan side dishes along with soup and steamed egg. The restaurant also has a good amount of non-kbbq items, so there is diversity. I can only speak on the kbbq experience though.

We arrived on a Monday night for dinner, we were asked if we were having Korean grilled meat or other dishes off the menu, and we were promptly seated on a table with large grilling area. The ambience was gentle and quiet, not a big crowd on Monday. This was our first here, and we were hoping for all you care to eat, but here we had to order specific meat combinations. We ordered a combination that had pork belly and beef rib and two orders of pork steamed dumplings. The won meat came with steamed rice and lots of Korean side dishes (those do come as many times as you like). The meat combination was short of abundant for the price, so we ordered. In the end, the meal cost about $40 per person.

Decided to try a new Korean bbq place. We liked that's this place offers other dishes than just bbq. There are appetizer, stews, rice dishes, etc. We ordered the beef combination bbq, japchae, seafood pancakes, and bulgogi stew. The Korean bbq itself was good. Beef had lots of flavor and the quality was good but the portions were a little small compared to other Korean bbq places near by. The side dishes were delicious and tasted really fresh Our favorite was the cucumber/bok choy, fish cakes and coleslaw. They give you 4 dipping options for the meat. Salt, miso, and a 2 darker sauces. All were good. Their seafood pancake was good but would preferred it to be a little more crispy. My kiddos loved the japchae noddles and the stew was also good. The bulgogi stew and a slight sweetness to it but my husband enjoyed it.Staff were really friendly and helpful in answering our questions. Would 100% come again.

Tried Won BBQ at 15th & Custer for Easter lunch after church yesterday with a crew of 12 -- it was super empty, maybe because of the holiday weekend. We had a great time and service was really on top of it. They sat the twelve of us at three booths out of four in a semi-enclosed portion of general seating and quickly served us with water. The four of us at our table opted to try one of the barbecue combos. Our server explained that set As on the menu feed 2-3 and set Bs on the menu feed 4-5 but honestly four of us split the beef & pork set A combo and it was SO much food, definitely enough for all of us to be very satisfied. The meat quality was great, marinated meets were flavorful but not too sweet which is more to our tastes, and the employees cook everything for you so you don't have to worry about making sure nothing is burning. Our server also cut away the few blackened bits that occurred. The banchan selection was nice and you also get complementary egg soufflé, corn cheese, and soybean stew with the combo. All had great flavors and were delicious. You do have to specifically ask for things like rice, lettuce wraps, radish paper, and samjang, but they do have all those things free of charge included with your meal.We also tried the seafood pancake which was very affordably priced, decent portion, and very tasty. Not too thick with batter and well crisped without being too oily. Sauce was great too. Total cost of meal after tax and tip for four of us was a little under $140 which is great for an a la carte KBBQ place of this quality. You pay for your meal at the front, at least right now, so if you try it out there's no need to wait for the check at your table. Just go up and tell them what you ordered.Other people in our larger group tried the galbijjim (smaller portion) and the bulgogi and enjoyed it. Someone got an old fashioned too and said it was quite strong. One thing that could be improved was the ventilation, I don't think our hood was doing too much above the table even though it looked very impressive, haha. But hopefully they figure that out soon, it's early! This place is super conveniently located for me (in the old Gogiya space) so we'll probably be back sooner rather than later.

An amazing Korean BBQ spot. Huge portions and high quality meat. The waiters cook for you and are super polite and asked to refill our banchan sides. The restaurant is organized between kbbq and normal dining and very clean. Loved eating here and will definitely return!
