I am giving 4 stars because I do really like Wok Star and have generally had good experiences over the years. However with that being said my experience today has been negative - having a customer wait an additional 45 minutes after the promised pick up time for take out is unacceptable. If you are running behind, that's fine, but do not say the food will be ready at 3pm and now it's 3:40pm and I'm still here waiting. Yes things happen and today is a holiday but apparently this has happened to other patrons in years prior and they still haven't fixed their processes. Plan accordingly or don't offer take out at all.

I ordered shrimp and broccoli. The flavor was good. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. However the broccoli appeared to be past its "use by date". There were about 8 pieces of broccoli with brownish/black discoloration. In such a small portion that is unacceptable. I won't visit again.Returned to my review to change it. I ended up with food poisoning last night. This was the only meal I had all day.

This is some of the worst take out Chinese Food - I have experienced in a long time.No flavor what so ever - just tasted like burnt old oil used on everything - Scallion Pancakes full of oil - Egg Rolls had that old burnt oil taste (I personally don't think they have changed their oil in a very long time) - Crab Rangoon - disgusting - so bad - Hot and Sour Soup NO Flavor again - just gross. - Spicy Wontons - old not fresh and definitely not prepared correctly - Combo Dumplings more like Combo Dog Food - My husband and I seriously threw all the food out - it was that disgusting - not sure where they are getting the high rating - I have a feeling they are reviewing themselves.Highly Do Not Recommend this Business.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Had a reservation yesterday that was not honored even though it was confirmed via text message. Their excuse was the restaurant was reserved and booked out for an event. Even the restaurant manager came and spoke to me like I was an idiot until I showed him hard proof that I had previously made reservations that were confirmed. All he could say to me is that he could move my reservation to after the event which would have been at 4pm and my reservation was for 12:15pm. Was really looking forward to trying this place but myself, family, and friends will never come to this place. Horrible hospitality service and not willing to make it right.

The happy hour is amazing. The food is so fresh and tasty. The beef egg rolls were really good. The shrimp fried rice was amazing. The best fried rice I have ever eaten . I know eating healthy mean eating great food. The portions and price was reasonable. The service was so excellent. The waiter listen to my order very well. The atmosphere was really nice. Nice music. This is a freer place to have dinner with friends as the plates are family size. I shared orange chicken and Mongolian beef and they were both delicious. The beef was a bit spicy but very tasty! The chicken was tender and not too sweet. The plates came with steamed rice and it was very well cooked. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I definitely recommend for dinner or drinks as they have a bar area.

The decor and ambient lighting is really beautiful. I sat at the bar, ate amazingly big portioned chicken and rice and tried a few drinks. My bartender Thien was fast, catering and friendly. Very helpful in recommendations and very skilled in mixology. Definitely made my stay worthwhile. 5 stars! Will be coming regularly!
