Willie's Lounge

I've been here twice before and had a great time, but today--on a Sunday--was a completely different experience. I brought my industry friends to what I thought would become my new favorite bar, but we were treated with disrespect, as if we didn't belong. I'm not sure why the vibe was so off today--maybe it was a particular person at the bar--but I'd strongly recommend avoiding Sundays. Unfortunately, this experience tainted my previous visits, and I'm not sure if I'll be back. I know plenty of good people who would love this place, but only if the staff and atmosphere were more welcoming.

I was verbally attacked by a bar customer for disagreeing w/ her opinion ...of me!!! At which time , Veronica , the karaoke host jumped in and started verbally assaulting me. She is known in the bar circuit as being inappropriate, offensive , and downright mean . It escalated , as I walked out her and security followed me outside threatening a physical altercation. DO NOT , DO NOT GO HERE . It is not safe , it's cliquish , and there are so many better places in the area .that don't serve you in plastic cups

Willie's was awesome on our first visit, cool on a chilly day, cold cheap IPA, and bartendress Mandy was a hoot to boot. Plus, free food, some of the best pinto beans I have ever eaten and fresh watermelon, delightful!

Like the sound of a glass longneck bottle being dug out of ice on a hot and muggy evening? Then you are half way to loving this place! Driven by here for years, but never stopped in. There's a fondness growing in my dry parched heart for this place.It absolutely doesn't look like a dive bar as it is in an old strip mall when you pull up. Coin operated car wash across the street and you might miss it. Big parking lot with a somewhat bordered off smoker's porch out front to the right of the entry. Walking in to the left, you see the bar with 50's/60's styling and a huge mountain of alcohol bottles. As you walk up to the bar, you can see the huge troughs of ice and bottles and cans. This is a bar! There are tables, cozy booths, juke box, small dance floor, pool tables, dart boards, big screen TVs, karaoke on Saturdays, and lots of friendly East Dallas folk! Add to it that this place is known as a Dallas Fire Rescue hang out.

I love Willie's lounge because of the atmosphere! Awesome jukebox and a great place to play a little pool. Love that they always have a little side table filled with food items to munch on! Only negative thing I have to add is that their bartender fcking SUCKS. I only get a good drink when my friends (regulars) order the drinks for me.

This place is awesome. Great atmosphere and the about the best priced drinks in the city of Dallas. Bartenders are all nice and I think their liquor selection is probably the biggest I've ever seen in a dive bar. A must see

Best Dive Bar in Dallas! Amazing Bartenders who go above and beyond for their customers! They bring in home cooked food on all shifts and it's always delicious!! The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. They have the largest selection of alcohol that I have ever seen in a dive bar and the drinks are cheap! The entertainment is always wonderful! Painting with a twist, Zumba, karaoke and much much more! Amazing place with amazing people!!

Nice bar everybody was friendly and the bar tender did a great job considering it was st Patrick's day

Best liquor selection I've seen in a dive bar ever. Friendly people and bartenders cold beer clean restrooms. Plenty of tvs lots of dart boards and a couple of pool tables. It's a must see in Dallas for sure.
