Shade trees are sporadic around the lake which is essential for escaping the brutal Texas sun.

Me and my friend went on the boat here and it was very lovely. We did get rained on a bit the last 5-10 mins but it was very peaceful in the beginning of the ride! The prices aren't too bad if you plan ahead.

Beautiful lake. Good if you like to row. There is also a 7 miles trail. Only prob is it's too dirty to swim in which is a shame.

There's a nice path for bikes and jogging. You can park along side of the lake but I took the road all the way down to the parking lot and got out. Dragonflies, turtles, and ducks oh my. I will visit again. E.B. on and on and on and on.

I needed a place to get in a run while I was in Dallas for a while, and this place was really awesome!!When I came here, it was a nice sunny day. The lake is big, the trails are wide and clean, plenty of room for walkers, bikers, or runners!!All the restrooms I saw were porta potty's, so there's that. But I didn't go all the way around the lake, I only had time to get in a few miles here.Multiple parking lots around the lake, also some very nice houses here. Looking at the maps that were here, it's over 9 miles around the lake.I will definitely come here to run when I'm in Dallas again!!

Couldn't believe I found this stunning lake and trail. It's a long loop trail around white rock lake which is a breathtaking view when the sun is out. I got here around the early afternoon and strolled around for nearly an hour before deciding to wrap up. The area is clean and people are happy to be here.Definitely perfect for a walk, taking your dog out, riding your bike, or having a picnic along the lake. Residents are lucky to have this here!

White Rock Lake Park ended up being my afternoon office today, spending a few hours near Dreyfuss Club Point overlooking the water. Working from the van here was most pleasant as there was a great on-shore breeze and the temperature was just right for April.Lots of bicyclists going past, many joggers, and me, on my mobile hotspot and pounding away at emails and Zoom calls. I was undisturbed by all and at the end of the work day, I was even able to get a nap in the RV before dinner. The park is free and clean and green. On a busy weekend, parking might be a challenge but on a weekday afternoon, I had plenty of great spots to choose from.[Review 750 of 2024 - 509 in Texas - 21781 overall]

White Rock Lake is a favorite for my fiance and I to go picnicking. We actually got engaged here and the photos turned out naturally beautiful! Hiking / biking / walking trails, scenic views, lovely picnic areas, and friendly ducks frequent the area surrounding the lake. The area is kept clean and beautiful and is definitely a must-see for anyone who enjoys some time outdoors.

Great walking trail! Very scenic views. Great bird-watching. White Rock Lake is a great place to walk, run, bike-ride, fish, and have a picnic. It's very big so you can spend all day here if you'd like.

There is a lovely ten mile loop trail around White Rock Lake. Whether you come here to cycle, run, or walk, you will find a well paved path with a divider line and nice views of the lake. The place is crowded on weekends and holidays. Plan your arrival for early mornings when you can find good parking, the trails aren't as busy, and the weather isn't as hot. We have been fortunate to find shade parking each time. Lots of people park on the street, but even there you can find the shade of trees. There are park benches and shade trees along the path. You can stop to take a break frequently, if needed. I've noticed a few board walks or piers that hover over the water along the way. There appears to be bathrooms and grilling stations, but I haven't used or looked at those facilities close enough to comment. The public is pretty good about staying to the far right in their lane. Cyclists in a leisurely ride like us, are good about announcing, "on your left" as we approach and pass pedestrians. More intense cyclists tend to ride the regular streets that circle the lake rather than the wide multi-use walking path. The park appears clean and well kept all around the lake despite being well used by the public. I noticed signs inviting everyone to volunteer to help clean up the park once a month, in addition to city signs that encourage everyone to "Pitch-in". My husband and I are trying to schedule a regular weekly ride here for a bit of exercise and fun. So far, we are enjoying it.
