White Rock Coffee - University Park

The coffee here is solid, along with their selection of housemade pastries and cute merch. Plenty of seating and quick counter service.

I've only been here once. The atmosphere is nice, they is some indoor seeing if you wanted to study, a bit small. I am not a big coffee drinker but they did have other specialties. My review is based on the non-coffee drinks and they were just OK.

I'm, admittedly, pretty worked up as I write this. I try to be loyal to local coffee shops and walk a few doors past a national mermaid chain to get to this location. The coffee is fine. The pastries are fine. Nothing standout but perfectly adequate. So, why am I so peeved? Today, I noticed the default tip amount is set to $3! That's a 75% tip for my small cold brew. WTF? Does WRC not pay their people? I always tip at least $1 but this feels egregious. Now I'm wondering how many times I paid that without noticing. No more. That's some BS. Get it together, WRC.Edit- updated to reflect quality and service. I appreciate Nancy's thoughtful response. I still don't like a forced, maxed out default tip. That should be at the discretion of the customer, not an automatic that they can opt out of.

This shop is between Milton and Haney on the east side of Hillcrest, just a few store fronts down from the mermaid coffee place, Starbucks. Service is prompt, efficient, courteous, gets your order up as fast as possible. They have an assortment of pastries and some other items.They have approximately 12 two top tables and a couple sofa type bench seats. Nothing spectacular about the inside, they do have WRC swag for sale.

Hurrah! I believe this is White Rock Coffee's newest location and it did not disappoint. This is a small coffee shop - blink and you'll miss it - located near SMU. Street parking was plentiful during my visit, although there is a two hour limit. I imagine parking is much more of a challenge when school is in session.I tried a Charlie Brown latte - a seasonal blend with butterscotch. Yum! It was so good! I tried a tangy orange bread pudding which was much drier with a marmalade flavored crunch rather than sweet or chewy as I hoped.Seating was plentiful during my visit and the place made great use of cushioned benches against the wall to accommodate a large number of visitors in the small space. My barista was friendly and answered all my questions about the seasonal menu snacks and beverages.

Coffee was great. Staff were friendly. Service was speedy. Ambiance was comfortable. Mostly a meeting spot for business people. Good seating

No complaints here! Service was fast and polite, drinks are reasonably priced which is hard to find for coffee these days. I had a caramel latte and it was really really good. I would go here over Starbucks or Dutch bros any time. It's really a cute little spot and the entrance is kind of tucked away which makes it feel almost like a secret speak easy lol. Definitely give it a try!

This coffee shop moved into Snider Plaza not to long ago and it is so nice to have an alternative to Starbucks. I love the feel when you first walk in of cozy corner coffee shop, and the coffee is amazing! It is a bit pricer than Starbucks but I much prefer to support a local spot. The service is wonderful and the folks are so nice who work there. I also cannot get enough of their brioche breakfast sandwich with pesto. Get it and thank me later with a cup of dirty chai.

This coffee shop is awesome! The signature lattes are amazing and the coffee is so smooth, not bitter like some big name brands next door. The pumpkin scone are to die for!! Stop in for friendly faces and some amazing freshly baked treats. For a specialty latte, a scone and a pumpkin poptart, plan to spend about $14.

I have been coming here every morning since being back home for the summer and it genuinely is something I look forward to every single day. I have to be up pretty early for an AA program and being greeted by the most wonderful people every single day has truly helped me so much. Such wonderful people working at white rock coffee on university, and such wonderful coffee :). Thank you to everyone who greets me with a smile every single day, for remembering my order haha, and for being such lights in a dark world! You guys are awesome!! I am so grateful!!!
