W XYZ Bar

Upscale bar located in the lobby of the Aloft hotel in downtown Dallas. This is a cool looking bar, with interestingly lit parts, a free pool table, and fancy cocktails. Since the Aloft is pet-friendly, I guess the bar is too! You can wander around the hotel lobby with a drink, and there's plenty of cool places to sit, with lots of sofas, easy chairs, and nice places to hang out, since you're using the lobby of the Aloft! Parking is easy for this place- there's a paid private lot that surrounds the hotel, so if you pay there, take your receipt in, and they're refund your parking charge with drink credits! This place has a big television set where you can watch the game, and interestingly, they have a chiron that scrolls news, like a news ticker, or what you see showing stock prices. Weird. Since this bar is part of the Aloft, if you need snacks, they have a general store that sells chips and drinks!

Rudest bartender I have ever experience!d!!! Unbelievably disrespectful and lazy. Told us the food was gross and would take too long....

I had their drink the Viva, which good if you like very sweet cocktails. My fiancée initially got a Moscow mule which was not very good. Their food is not the best. The southwestern spring rolls tasted like they had been warmed up in the microwave and their Mac and cheese was just "ok." Nothing spectacular about this bar, it just happened to be convenient that it was in the lobby of the hotel we stayed it.

Sitting in the loft lobby with the art deco design on the walls the bar is a nice place to hang out and have a drink and even some wings or flatbread pizza it was really enjoying and relaxing hanging out with friends with close access to the hotel lobby

My work has hosted a few happy hours here. Not too shabby. Sometimes the bar can be a bit slow, but if you have a group of 20-30 people rambling in, its expected. Its a decent open area, with some couches and a pool table. The drinks are typically strong, sometimes too strong haha.If you're looking for a crowd for some random conversation, I don't know if this is a right bar for you. It rarely seems crowded, so you might be the only one at the bar, unless we're hosting a function and then you'll have a mess of us there.The food- nothing amazing, but after a few drinks, everything tastes good. To be honest, I think its all frozen stuff thrown in the oven/deep fryer/ toaster over. Good college junk food.Its somewhere between a 2.5 and 3, so I'll round up.

Great drinks and atmosphere.Queso and chip happy hour bar was great. Food wasn't really that great for the price. Drinks were good. Staff was great!

Cool bartender, and fun decor. Great place for a work happy hour, or small gathering. Fire place and large comfy sofa make for a great place to chat and hang out.Drink prices were decent~

Sucks!!! Why is this not listed as its in a hotel? Terrible unless you're staying here. Even the bartenders left.

Nevine is one hell of a bartender. Coming back to my "home" after a day of work was made all that much more great with a smile and a "hello!" My week was made and I'm looking forward to coming back to Dallas soon. By the way try her old fashioned. I've had an old fashioned from coast to coast and Nevines was top 3. Surprising burger and tots to boot! Long story short the wxyz was nice but she made it great.

Zoe is the best bartender!!! She handled everything with care and grace. She was really patient and sweet. Made us feel at home. We really appreciate her! Made our Dallas trip worthwhile when we were stuck in a storm.
