I went there 3 times in one week alone! This Place is really nice. They keep bringing the hot refills regularly for everything they serve on their menu , and they serve with lots of respect for their guests.I Loved their Delhi Thali, all the food items had authentic taste of Delhi ( I am from Delhi) ! Their Chhole / chana reminded me of Haldiram in Delhi and I have not got taste here in USA anywhere! Must try it! All in all a great place

It was an absolutely wonderful experience to dine in with our family in Vrindavan Restaurant, Frisco. My Husband and Myself always have some craving towards authentic North Indian Cuisine and Vrindavan hasn't disappointed us so far.The food was amazing and authentic. We visited over the weekend. So got a chance to try both Brijwasi Thali and Delhi 6 Thali. Both the Thalis were a hit. The food was served hot and fresh. They offer you unlimited pooris, chapathis, curries, rices and sweets. They do not take any prior reservations though. But the wait time is not bad at all. It's a kids friendly place and serve kids portions. You have plenty of parking spots available. They do sell some freshly prepared Bengali sweets. You can find one of the best Shahi Paan in town at this place.Ambience was pretty good.Overall we had a wonderful experience with our family and friends. Would definitely visit back again.

The entrance of the restaurant looks cute, all floral and green. I went with my family over the weekend, and it was busy. We had to wait more than 45 minutes for our table, probably because we were a party of five.Let's start with the disappointments: you cannot order off the menu on weekends, or maybe just on the day we went. There were limited options, or should I say a single option because we all ordered the same thali. We went to this place after looking at the pictures, so I'd say it wasn't as expected. Nothing really looked the same as in the pictures, neither the location nor the food items. I don't know it just looks so grand but not really. Now for the good: the food was okay. It was your regular, not very special, Indian thali. We had dhokla (not good), khichdi (surprisingly very good, and I don't even like khichdi), roti (white flour or whole wheat, which was soft and really nice), puri (this was my favorite), daal (great), chole (okay-ish), palak paneer (okay), some kind of potato curry (aloo dum maybe) (quite good), some other veggies with cauliflower (not good), papad, a variety of achar, and some pakoda-like stuff. Lastly, the most disappointing was the dessert, which was boondi or something, and rasgulla (okay-ish).***Additionally, the portion sizes were very small. Of course, you can ask for more, but how many times are you going to add plus the wait time is long***Overall, I wouldn't go here for the buffet. The service was quite slow, probably because it was crowded. We had to wait for roti puri or anything like forever, only thing that go passed around often was the potato curry. The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, it just looked good on the plate. I might go on a weekday when there's less wait time and more options to choose from.

Food has become quite unsatisfying here lately. This is the second time in the last 4 weeks and sad to say my next visit may not be anytime soon. Service is decent. Restaurant is well maintained. But the food is too expensive and quite blah. Sad it's gone down hill in the last 6 months or so. Need better more tasty food options.

If anyone had not had this type of thali before you will absolutely love it. It's an experience that one has to go through for their love of food.If you had had this type of thali before, and wanted to experience it first hand in DFW, you will be disappointed. The food is just okay.Let me start off with the good. The ambiance is amazing. The decor is beautiful, and makes you want to stand below the flower canopy and admire the view of the everything around. The service staff is amazing. The servers go around asking if we need more food, if we want anything else, and if we want more. The chaas (buttermilk) is delicious and refreshing. It feels very welcoming during this hot weather. The gulab jamun is very good and soft and juicy. The food overall is good. Now getting to the bad. The wait time is crazy, when we came in the hostess told us it would take 20 minutes at the most, it took us 1 hour 10 minutes to get seated. I understand that sometimes wait times are underestimated but not by 50 minutes. The restaurant is super small (about 10-14 tables), so they let people come in to wait past the close time, this made the service staff work beyond their scheduled time and making them ask everyone at tables if they need more food or they are done (sort of rude). I think they should still have the reservation system to make sure that they don't exceed their seating capacity. The waitlist (website/app) is weird. Once we got the text our table is ready, it took our hostess another 15 minutes to take us to the table, and another 15 minutes for our food to get to the table.Continuing with the bad, the food was mediocre. The dahi vada, vadas were saltless, the dals tasted all the same (there were 2 kinds), the dhokla was same, the puri too oily, Chapati uncooked on the inside. There was nothing special about the desserts, it was just plain gulab jamun and the rasmalai wasn't good, it was too rubbery for my taste. The khichidi was very tasty, and so was the bhindi they had, but those were the only highlights. When I'm paying about $20 I would expect some special desserts, and was disappointed. Paan costs $3.5 extra.Personally I wouldn't go back, but if you are new to DFW it is an experience you do not want to miss. If you are in Houston area try Maharaj Bhog which is a good Rajasthani/Gujarati Thali place that this restaurant is similar to. I hope the restaurant improves their service and quality of food. I hope to see more positive reviews before I go back.

We tried Brijwasi Thali on saturday, memorial day weekend and it was simply amazing and worth all the drive from Austin to Dallas. We reached there on 2:50pm and restaurant close time is 3pm. We were not sure if we'll be able to get seat but staff was very generous and was able to accommodate us even few min before. But one of the staff member did mention that you might be not able to get all the items served again after 1st time as re-fill, which is understandable. The decor was nice and had flowery theme. Thali came with all the items already served the Thali/plate. It included dhokla khaman, Haryali kebab, subz milauni, dubki wale aloo, paneer makhanwala, chana masala, Baingan Bharta, dal tadka, Rajasthani kadhi, Boondi raita, jeera rice, khichdi, bhedmi Puri, pulka roti, kesari halwa, kalam petha, Pudina chutney, Mili ki chutney, papad, aachar, kachumbar salad and pyaj. Price $25 was totally worth to try this unlimited Thali. I wouldn't advise to go this late as some of the items did run out but still worth the try.

If you want to gorge on a huge variety of vegetarian Indian food, this is the place. It's very cute and Instagrammable. I wish they had the refills labeled because I didn't know what was what even when they said the words. If you have an American palate, you might not like all of the desserts because some are sour. I also felt like the male servers were always offering refills to the men in my party before me, but they did always offer them to me.

Something I loved about Vrindivan's setup is that it's like a lazy person's buffet--unlimited eating but you don't have to get up for your food, waiters will come around to refill your plate. The servers came around very frequently and were very accommodating. Anytime we wanted something, they would come over bring it immediately. It was my first time having a thali. Since we didn't know what anything was, it was helpful to have the server explain everything and how to eat it. I enjoyed being able to have a taste of so many different dishes. I especially enjoyed the endless hot roti. My only qualms were that it was a bit pricy for what it is and that the thalis seem to be prepped in advance, so you don't get hot food until you get the refills. I came here because I saw that Vrindivan was mentioned in the NYT for one of the most memorable dishes of 2022. I'd be hesitant to say the food here would top any lists, but it's a good one-time experience and easy walk-in option.

Love, love, love the food and the presentation here! We requested a non dairy plate and they accommodated us. The servers seemed scarce and not very attentive but the quality of the food offset the lack of service. We will be back for a special occasion ($25 plus tax and tip is a bit expensive)

Four for the staff and the service but for the food, it's expensive for vegetarian food and a mandatory 18% tip to top it off. Let's say the food is an acquired taste, very spicy and very saucy. The best are the roti's, hot and soft straight from the griddle. It's just that you'll have to wait till they come for refills so your dinner has no flow. Dinner is also interrupting. The decor is starting to look worn being a fairly new restaurant and the access is difficult. While the concept is good and focusing only on North Indian food ( one or two particular states in India) since there is an abundance of South Indian cuisine surrounding Vrindavan, I think there is some tweaking to do as far as the number of small bowls of small sides and the menu overall. Vegetarian food can be awesome, I would not go that high here.
