They haven't lost a beat in transition from Grapevine food truck to their brick and mortar store.The brisket os still delicious and moist. The ribs are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The turkey is tasty. The chipotle cheddar sausage had a nice snap, was cheesy with just the right kick. The birria taco and console were excellent. Deep flavor, not too fatty.And the loaded nachos had a good amount of brisket on them and a nice mix of fixins.Altogether an expensive dinner, but not unreasonable for this level of BBQ.

Very excited to have a great BBQ place in Allen. They do not disappoint. Great atmosphere, lots of room inside and out. Friendly staff.We've been here twice in one week, which is rare for us, but we wanted to try a little bit of everything.Prime Brisket - very moist, great bark, they take great care when slicing and serving just what you want. Don't want that fat cap, no problem.Mom's Turkey - Great taste, very moist. My Mom sure didn't make turkey as good as this. Sorry Mom. ; )Chipotle Cheddar Sausage - Was hoping for more taste here. Casing snapped, lots of cheese, flavor profile was low for us. Will try some of the other sausage next time.Chohinita Pibil - Pulled pork as not as flavorful as we were hoping based on the sauce and spices. May try again.Al Pastor Pork Belly Burnt Ends - Was not a big fan. While the skin has a nice crunchy flavor, we found it too hard. The tender bits were tasty though. I took leftovers and mixed with my eggs. ; )Texas Style Pastrami - This was great. There's another place in town where I always get this, so was nice to have another. The menu says it comes with marbled rye, house mustard and condiments and the server said no it didn't, so I had to argue for it. Definately one of my favorites.BBQ Birria Taco - Fantastic flavor profile. Many places have versions of this. A little shy on the meat I thought. The side of consume de res was great.Sides - While we typically don't focus on sides at BBQ places, the sides here are pretty darn awesome.Hickory Smoked Elote - Smoked corn on the cob with all the fixings. Simply great.Homestyle potato Salad - GreatSpicy Cucumber Salad - We've had this 3 times. Love this.Apple Gorgonzola Slaw - New favorite. Lots of flavorsGreen chili mac - typically don't get mac/cheese, but this one is simply the best.Good bar selection. We've had margs and beer (cans).I look forward to trying some of the taco menuAll in all, very happy Vaqueros is here an plan on spending more time and eating more here. Highly recommend.

Good and room for improvement. 45 min standing wait. 20% tip for no table service at all. Only sweet bbq sauce option. Very sweet and tangy for those who like that. Would appreciate another option for those who don't care for super sweet sauce. It pairs well with the salty meat tho for those who like sweet and salty, which are many.Biggest disappointment is the meat was dry. I'd watched the videos on Google where the meat was moist, dripping, and amazing looking and this brisket we got was dry and stiff, all we had to soften it up was sugary bbq sauce.However the sides were decent. Beans not sweet at all but not flavorful either. Cucumber side was fun! Same for apple slaw. Points for creativity on the menu. The ribs were juicy. Sausage was fine, nothing impressive but not dry. Corn was outstanding. Great spices and sauces. Everyone liked the tacos the most. Not soggy but crisp and delicious. We tried pretty much everything on the menu except the turkey.It's very expensive. At this price point I'd rather go somewhere with table service so I can relax and not stand half the time and have someone refill a water and give us a togo box. It's no Hutchins but still they had some creative points and the Texmex menu was fun. Tacos and corn were worth coming for. They were both seriously good.I don't think I'd do dinner here again but maybe for a casual lunch. Perhaps you can bring your own bbq sauce if you prefer a smoky flavor rather than sweet sauce.Everyone that worked there did look like they were working very hard and doing a great job. It's hard to open a new restaurant and have everything go well. It's worth trying once. If they had a non sweet bbq sauce option and moist brisket that would make it worth standing half the time you're there.I have a feeling this place will just get better. Usually in three months, they've gotten feedback and nailed it.

First time! Was absolutely amazing! Food, service, atmosphere, everything about this place is top notch! Even took us for a tour of the pit area! Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back this weekend! Thank you for bringing an amazing BBQ place finally to Allen Texas!!

Wow. I love this new addition to Waters Creek! The art work, ambiance and design is impeccable. Nothing like it around! The tacos, fries and nachos are why we will come back again and again! My kids and I will be back very soon! The staff were super attentive, friendly and kind. I didn't realize the "bar" is not near the food but around the corner. So much to try here!

The food is good. It took trial and error to find the perfect meal. The Turkey sandwich is really good. I recommend the el Ruben which is Friday only.

Food is great! Atmosphere, awesome! Can't wait to come back with the family! Ask for a pit tour, these smokers are insane!

The service line is very odd. It makes no sense. There appears to be some communication issues with the line staff on where to order what. Beyond this the birria taco was maybe 2/10. The corn taco shell was chewy. The brisket inside was pretty good. The consume was alright. The burnt pork belly ends were oddly crunchy and chewy. The coslaw is so strange, they prep it in front of you with all dry ingredients and it's just not good. I'll probably come back in 7/8 months to see if anything changes and to try the bbq.

Excellent bbq. Sides are good and the brisket and ribs were excellent. Don't expect it to be cheap but well worth it. Highly recommend.
