The Vogals created this nihilist art exhibit and a garden for the statues. There is no cost to enjoy this exhibit. A cluster of figures in the front has provocative signs of the "We all bleed the same color" ilk. Yard signs are that bitter pill we must swallow. Who wants to be lectured by a child? There is a nice air-conditioned house that has nihilist paintings and, (oddly) a couple of very good realism paintings on the floor leaning against the wall. The garden is very peaceful and interesting with a good selection of well maintained Texas flora. Benches along the trail make for a nice pause in the walk to enjoy the scenes. There are also some nice tables and chairs about for a group of 4 if you want to bring your lunch or playing cards.Faceless statues and some broken abstracts of people are about the grounds. This is a great place to read a book. I suggest Ivan Turgenev's book Fathers and Sons. It is the story of a son who brings home his school chum from Moscow to meet his parents who live a simple life in the country with simple Russian values. The son is mesmerized by the seeming brilliance of his nihilist friend who confides about a conversation he had with an older woman:"'Of course, you can't understand me; we belong,' I said, 'to two different generations.' She was dreadfully offended, while I thought, 'There's no help for it. It's a bitter pill, but she has to swallow it.' You see, now, our turn has come, and our successors can say to us, 'You are not of our generation; swallow your pill.'"

Like all the mountains and rivers, oceans, skyscrapers in NY, and stars are not mine, but I could enjoy them for free whenever I want, paintings are not mine but I enjoy them for free whenever I would like to inhale colorful oxygen. This time, the pandemic era, most restaurants and events are limited, and nowhere to go and talk with friends and family. This gallery for free both gallery inside and sculpture gardens outside. The h/w owners of this gallery are artists and they curated all the paintings and sculptures to make it pretty. The artworks are mainly modern and contemporary arts. Especially this gallery is unique having a six-acre beautiful gardens with brooks, bridges, and sculptures and my shadows, and I can add reflections on puddles that made by previous rain.Worth visiting, having very tranquil times both inside the gallery and the gardens with sculptures. Fyi: no 12-16 yrs allow to enter the gardens because sometimes they ruin sculptures, climbing up the sculptures to take Instagram pics.

This gallery is super underrated! The garden outside was absolutely beautiful and stunning. My friend and I we're the only ones there. Perfect for a picnic. Very peaceful environment. Loved the BLM sculptures.

A hidden gem of Dallas. Spent about 1 hour in the gallery/house and sculpture garden trails. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Next time I'll bring a latte or lunch to enjoy the property.

I found them via a search engine, I frequent nature trails around DFW and take my kids along at times. I also am a serious hobbyist photographer... I have a great passion for nature. All I can say is this place is a little slice of heaven on a buttered piece of golden brown toast... I have been there twice during lunch one time was to walk around and take pictures, the next time was to view the art gallery...Incredible sums it up, you can tell that the owners care a great deal about the garden and the art gallery... Also after meeting Kevin I got the impression that he also cares a great deal about his customers...If I was considering or looking for Contemporary Art I would do business with Kevin as he lives his art in both form and function.I will be back until he gets tired of me... As I have different photographic techniques I want to practice on the stunning landscape.I also enjoy writing and this would be the perfect environment to connect with inspiration at all levels. One of my kids Samantha loves to draw, she to would like this environment and they encourage artist to work in the garden. So this weekend me and Samantha are going..If you think this review is just Hype look at the pictures above... You will be pleasantly surprised..

An art oasis! Kevin & Cheryl Vogel's little paradise in North Dallas is well worth a trip, even for those who rarely leave the Arts District or the Design District to get their dose of fine art. First of all, it is situated on several beautiful wooded acres that serves as a backdrop to a beautifully landscaped sculpture garden. Secondly, it has a large show space with excellent lighting which has been recently expanded. Third, being on the scene for over half a century has translated into quite an ability to draw talented artists. When I was there, Gail Norfleet and Henry Finkelstein had shows on display. Fourth, the curators are very knowledgeable and can answer most any question. They have a good website too: http://www.valleyhouse.comI'm a big fan.

This place is magical. My first thought when I visited the Valley House Gallery was that I must have stumbled upon the secret garden. If you need to get away from the rest of the busy world this place just has that peaceful spiritual aura about it. If you are looking for a place for a photo shoot this place is perfect and free!

Be sure and introduce yourself to the owners. Kevin is an amazing person and shared his knowledge of art generously. I left with knowing more and feeling like I had made a friend. This place is truly magical!
