My daughter started gymnastics when she was 8yrs of age with a gym in Allen Tx., after 6 mos of preterm we moved to Rowlett, it was recommended to us to go to UE by the coaches at the previous gym. After my daughter tried out with Coach Maria, it was determined that she would compete level 3, which was 3mos away from 1st competition. That year our daughter went to state, the following yr our daughter broke her elbow, but was able to condition herself to compete at level 4 at the last minute, she was still able to barely make state, and the coaches decided to let her compete level 4 again to sharpen her skills. After, having a successful yr., coach Igor approached us about her attending day gym, we were skeptical, but decided to try it out, after a summer of training our daughter tested out of level 5, and began her season as a level 7 gymnast. She placed in the top ten in State, and is now going to Regionals.I say all of this to show that UE has taken care and patience to help develop our daughter into a great gymnast, not all children will do as well, but they will not rush a girl forward just because of financial gain. I have found the coaches to be caring and hard working. We don't know where our daughter will go from here, but we are confident that she is enjoying the ride. Some parent put undue stress on their girls and the gym. I feel that 35% is coaching, but 65% is the dedication of the child and family to the sport. Not to say that coaching isn't important, but you can't coach a girl who is very talented, but isn't willing to put in the work, have a positive attitude and enjoy what she's doing. This is not to say that there is not communication problems at times, but talking with parents at other gyms, I find it to be the norm. I do feel that the price is less then most gyms, especially with the hours she trains, and I did check around. They are not money hungry, of course they want to be paid, but they don't try to make extra things expensive for the parents. (Leo's, warm ups, grips etc.) Overall a great place with, great coaches.

I had my daughters birthday here this past weekend and i am blown away with how disorganized this facility was. I paid $240 for an hour & half. When we 1st arrived the place was empty no one to be found. So we helped ourselves upstairs to start decorating. When I called to make the reservation I asked for 4 tables and plenty of chairs seeing as I had 20 kids plus parents and grandparents coming. The upstairs smelled like an old shoe and there were 4 different tables all different sizes. A random couch and 4 random chairs. Very disorganized. We did the best we could to decorate and make it look nice. After setting up and moving around I asked the "helper" to turn the AC on. Her reply "there is none up here." I couldn't believe that they expect people to have parties up there with NO AC!!! So as the guest starting showing up they had no idea where to go. The parking lot was packed full do to other sporting events going on but once they found the actual "gymnasium door" they still had no idea where to go. No one was in the lobby to greet them and the "helper" said she was the only one who signed up to help with the party. She said I was welcomed to stand in the lobby and greet the guest showing up. My reply was "yah so I can miss my kids whole party, I'm like no thank you" so I got some paper and a sharpie and made my OWN signs so my guest would know where to go. Next my 97 year old great grandmother came to wish her great great grand daughter a happy birthday to only find out that there was no way for her to get upstairs do to her being wheelchair bound. Again the "helper" said we could just sit her down stairs ALONE!!! Wth?!! A friend approached me saying that a man and woman were moving tables around upstairs. I get up there and they are moving tables into about her room saying its for a different table. I told them no and that I specifically asked for FOUR tables! They argued with me they even tried to take the table that I had ALL my goodies on (cake, cupcakes, drinks, etc). After getting very pissed off I asked the guy to get a manager his response was "I'm the owner" my mouth dropped. I couldn't believe that this rude man was the owner. The gymnasium was a whole other story. The foam pit would make you itch just looking at it. DISGUSTING!!! Needless to say paying $240 was a JOKE! I would not recommend EVER HAVING A PARTY AT THE RISE GYMNASTICS AREA.
