Trucker's Cafe

Sunday lunch with the fam. I had seen this place and wanted to give it a try. Sunday choices: beef tips, smother pork chops, ox tail, liver and onions, pigs feet, or chopped steak. Veggies were stuffing, mashed potatoes, collards, okra and tomatoes, Mac/cheese and green beans. You get a meat and two veggies. These ladies know how to cook. Liver and onions were awesome! In our party, we also did the beef tips, chopped steak and smothered pork. We ALL took home at least half. Portions are massive. Collards and okra were great as well. If you aren't sure, you can ask for a taste. Service was great. Food was better and they have football on the TVs on Sunday. Return trip is guaranteed.

Hands down the best meatloaf in DFW. I came in for lunch and ordered to go. Took 15 minutes waiting for my order and I was happy to wait, but just wished they offered me some drink while waiting. They offer dine-in customer drinks and there are many you can choose from frozen drinks like margarita or a rum. The salad is not your typical salad- HUGE portions which we love! We paid about $50 for the salad and meatloaf and drove 30minutes to get to this place but it was worth it!! The moment you walk in, you will smell the delicious food. They have a nice seating area with a tv to enjoy the dine in vibe. Definitely a place to check out if you haven't been here.

Overall this was a great place to eat. It was my first time going as we just picked a random spot for lunch. I ordered a smoked Turkey leg with 4 sides (Mac n Cheese, mixed veggies, squash n cheese, collard greens) along with a drink. The entree was $39 plus drink plus tax of course. The other plate was smothered pork chops with 2 sides for $17 Price 5 out of 5 stars - Based on the food portion it was priced right. Too much food to eat for one person or at one time so leftovers happened :)Taste 5 out of 5 - Everything was seasoned on point and not overdone. Customer Service - 5 out of 5 - We were greeted immediately, the restaurant was clean, and all of the dishes were explained. The staff made you feel like family. I will recommend this spot based on my experience and will be returning.

I had the meatloaf this Sunday I've gotten around to trying a few of their plate lunch.The portion are always good.But today i tried the Meatloaf it was the bomb the portions was big enough for two and it was the best I ever had.The next day the meatloaf was even better.The reason I gave a 5 stars is the price was great the meatloaf was seasoned in and out side they put love in this meatloaf.I don't give out 5 stars to any restaurant But the chef put her feet in this plate. Now I got greedy and order a side fried chicken it was cooked a little over as it was dry but the batter of the chicken was season great I just wish it wasn't cooked so hard if it sit a while it gets even dryer.But that meatloaf made me forget about the over cooked chicken.I am having meatloaf again my next trip to Trucker's Cafe for sure!

I was hoping to love it but it was mediocre. The Mac and cheese was cold (barely even room temperature) so I had to have them microwave it. The fish did not taste clean at all. Surprisingly the broccoli and cheese was super delicious.

Great size and flavor on the bacon cheese burger. I went with a half pound and a side of onion rings. Extremely flavorful. I can't wait to come back.

Amazing Southern food!! Been looking for a place in Dallas that tastes like the food we knew in Memphis. And now we've found it!!!

Food is good but the service is very slow. You will have plenty to eat that's for sure. I'm giving them a three due to the wait time. I also ordered a to go order once. They took so long, the driver threatened to leave and I ended up having to tip him more for the wait time.

IN MY TOP 5 CONTENDER Soul Food RIGHT HERE!!!! DFW. If you don't know about this place, I feel sorry for you.

This was my second time visiting. The food was okay. I'm very particular where i spend my money. My second time and the experience was the same. The workers were very pleasant. The owner, on both visits, never said a word. Sat at the register checking ppl out but no type of greeting or a thank you. Customer service is what makes a business stand out amongst many. Not sure if I'll give it a third try.
