What a great place. Let me just say to start off you'll need a reservation if you want a table. We sat at the bar for dinner because we absented to try it. The ambiance throughout is fantastic, it's warm, somewhat dark and western themed. The food was excellent. Steak cooked to perfection with many different choices and cuts of meat. The shrimp, salads and appetizers were perfect. Give TR a try, you won't be disappointed.

Only stopped in for drinks and appetizers but a small preview has me excited to go back and check out more! A friend was in town visiting and staying at the Omni so I stopped by to have a couple of drinks. It was late and didn't expect much. I live close by and honestly didn't have high expectations because restaurants around here are hit and miss but I was pleasantly surprised that a place this nice is so close by up here in the suburbs. It didn't just stop at the ambiance. The customer service might've been the best part. Although it was late and close to closing time, the staff was bright, energetic and extremely helpful. The manager Jimmy also came over, introduced himself, chatted sports a bit, and gave us an incredibly warm welcome. The food was absolutely incredible as well. We only had appetizers but everything was solid - the grilled oysters, which are probably some of the best I've ever had. No idea what sauce they put on that but it was amazing, 10/10. Would've been even better with some bread on the side. We also had the tuna tartare which was nice and fresh and the burrata, which isn't something I'd usually go for but was really good. Also had the grilled artichokes. I wasn't a fan but that doesn't mean they weren't good. Just not a big artichoke person. The star of the show was the wedge salad. I eat a lot of wedge salads and they're a dime a dozen but everything about this one was special. Thick chunks of bacon that are perfectly salty, the right balance of bleu cheese, fresh tomatoes and crisp lettuce, and the wildcard was the candied walnuts they put on it. It works so good. 20/10 seriouslyThe drinks were good as well. I only tried one from their cocktail menu- a mixture of uncle nearest whiskey, grand marnier, and vanilla. Not a big whiskey drinker but it's been one of the best drinks I've had. Really well balanced I could see some people balking at the prices. It does feel a bit expensive just looking at some of the steak prices but also, look around at everything else haha so I get it. Seems like the experience is at least worth the price as I've spent the same amount elsewhere for subpar service and food. I definitely want to return to try out the steaks and other food but just based on the appetizers and drinks, I'm a fan!

I want to first start by saying that the staff here are all very nice. We liked the selection of food. However, there are some very notable things that need to be improved on, in our opinion. Their wine list struggles. The presentation of the wine list itself and the lack of variety beyond a Napa cab were both lackluster. The wine is a huge part of experience in a steakhouse and if I'm going to a steakhouse like this, I want the pomp and circumstance that a proper sommelier will provide. While people were accommodating in their service, it is not to the level that this type of establishment should be. Servers walked by our table without picking up finished dishes and when they brought us out a new course, they didn't change out the dishes or silverware, and we had to ask the servers dropping off the food to take away the dirty dishes. This is a big deal. I have no problems paying a premium for food, but the service has to match the price point. The place is very loud. At this point I don't know if that can be changed. I absolutely loved the flavor of the broiled oysters, but they came out so hot, that after waiting to be able to eat them, the sauce had literally hardened and had to scrape the oysters from the shell. Those maybe need to be taken out sooner to be able to enjoy them with its juices. The calamari and sauce were very good. I loved the flavor of the lamb and the sauce with labneh was fantastic. I was just surprised to get only four small pieces of lamb. The carrot cake was to die for. Many people came to our table throughout the meal to ask how the experience was. I know it's not meant to be intrusive, and they are all very nice, but it would be awkward to not say anything but, "it's great". I hope they take the constructive criticism and work on the overall dining experience.

We had such an incredible first time experience at Trick Rider for my sister birthday. The interior is so beautiful with a crystal balls sculpture at the center bar. Our waiter KARA is absolutely amazing. She was very attentive, knowledgeable about the wine and the food on the menu. So kind , friendly and helpful. Everything she suggested we decided to ordered it and it was fantastic. From the Roman tower which is a seafood tower ( oysters, king crab legs, shrimp) crispy calamari, crispy chicken, salmon, house special lamb, broccolini, mushrooms, whipped mashed potatoes and ended with desserts. 24-karrot cake and baked Alaska. DELICIOUS! Will definitely come back. Ask for KARA'S table you will not be disappointed she is the best!!!

We have visited Trickrider to celebrate our anniversary two years in a row, and it was a memorable experience both times. Nestled inside the luxurious Omni PGA resort, the restaurant is elegant yet relaxed and perfect for a special date night. The service is consistently top-notch--professional, attentive, and friendly. You can tell the staff here are passionate about what they do, and they genuinely seem to care about creating a memorable service experience. And then, there's the food. Let me tell you, I'm still dreaming about that branzino--it's easily the best I've had. Cooked to perfection with a crispy skin, butterflied to save all the work. While the seafood tower was also delicious, I'd have a serious case of FOMO if I didn't order the branzino again next time. But, based on how much the staff raved about their steaks, I'm tempted to give one a try on my next visit.Overall, Trickrider nails it across the board--ambience, service, and food. If you're celebrating something special or just in the mood for a fantastic dining experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We came back last night for dinner and it was still SO good. We got the calamari, steak tartare, ribeye, side of mashed potatoes. I also got a delicious tito's martini. The tartare is one of the best I've ever had and the mashed potatoes were to die for. I do wish they offered a creamed spinach, though. Our server was really great and the service in general was wonderful.

Decided to try Trick Rider for my 21st wedding anniversary dinner and it did not let us down. We arrived for dinner and had a hard time finding the actual restaurant as it's lacking good signage at PGA Frisco but after some help we were guided to a pair of wooden doors that led us in almost like a speak easy. Staff greeted us and the ambiance was great. There is a massive crystal light fixture in the shape of a horse hanging above the bar that is incredible. Our waiter greeted us with champagne and we appreciated the effort but we do not drink and told him abruptly. He apologized and took the champagne away and said they do it for anniversary dinners and again, we appreciated the efforts. My wife and I both ordered filet mignon steaks which were cooked to perfection; juicy and succulent. We also shared an asparagus order that was good but a little too thick for our liking (smaller diameter asparagus just tastes better but they did a great job with flavor). For dessert we share a slice of wood chocolate pie which was exceptional, as was the passion fruit sorbet. Staff kept our sparkling water filled non stop and attended to us very well without being overbearing. The GM also approached me by name and we had a great conversation together. We will return! Tips: if you use the roundabout valet parking, when you enter the building take an immediate left to the end of the halls where the two wooden doors are and that's the Restaurant.

Excellent steakhouse at the PGA Omni Hotel. Perfect lighting and ambiance, great service, and truly delicious food. Everything I ate here was top notch and I will definitely return when I stay here.Food was excellent. I ordered a 10oz filet that cooked to a perfect medium rare with excellent charring and seasoning. I also tried whipped potatoes, asparagus and French onion soup, and all of them were quite tasty. The space is just 100% perfect modern steakhouse. Your eyes will need to adjust to the lighting it's that dark inside, and the moodiness is balanced in a fun way with a giant horse shaped chandelier. Service was attentive, helpful and always on top of each stage of the meal. Perfect steakhouse. Highly recommended should you find yourself in this area.

Had a very nice anniversary dinner during our first visit to Trick Rider. Service was A+. Food was A+. Evening A+. My only dislike was the loud atmosphere...we had a beautiful steakhouse where we lived before and it had dividers to break up the noise. Between the noise of the bar and just the general chatter of a restaurant, it was hard to visit with our guests who joined us. Maybe for the two of us it would work, but it would be difficult to dine here as a large group because of the loud environment. But the food and service were great!

To sum up this experience, our party of four was in agreement that the value for the dollar you spend is not there. Definitely an expensive menu and we are willing to spend the money. Totally understand they up charge everything being a nice restaurant, though if that's what you're going to do then make sure the quality is top notch. Our server was excellent, no complaints about him (I think his name was Steve). They treated us very well and we did receive a large booth and it didn't get too loud for the night we were in there so we could have a good conversation. The flow is excellent and you'll get complimentary champagne and dessert for a celebration. The cocktails were fine. The espresso martini was definitely more coffee forward though almost too bitter that you didn't know what to pair it with. The wine was fantastic as was the appetizers. The lobster was slightly rubbery and the filets were average. Overall, we won't go back given the price and the ability to find other high quality restaurants in frisco these days.
