Small little hole in the wall place. There was no wait on a a Monday. I order the chicken tamales. i love banana leaf wrapped tamales. The mas is always soft and meat always moist in these types. Usually Salvadorians and Guatemalans make this kind. This wouldn't be my favorite tamales spot as the meat for this one was kind of bland. I personally didn't like the potatoes inside as I just expected meat. The fajita taco was really good. Super flavorful. i would order that from here. I've seen a lot of other meats that looked good but i just ordered one. The tripas and pork is probably going to be my next order to try. The green and red salsa can be better. It's on the bland side and medium spicy. As you know i love spicy based on my other post but it did not what it needed for the taco and tamales.

Service: the lady working here is so nice! Very helpful with the menu- tamale was the best tamale I've ever had! I'm not the biggest fan of tamales and these were great, even had potatoes in there-beef fajita torta was also delicious! We dined in and it was clean and a relaxed atmosphere.

What a nice little surprise but comes with BIG portion and value. We came here for a Monday lunch and the lady was super nice. Limited English she was able to at least recommend things I didn't know about. Of course the torta is the way to go. Their ice cream also kept my kids happy too.

I was in the neighborhood and came across this place via the Yelp app. Seeing the positive review from my good friend Tommy H. cemented my decision to try it out. It's a fairly small and unassuming place, both inside and out, but it's inviting. I was eager to exercise my fairly minimal Spanish knowledge, so I ordered "pupusa de pollo con queso y torta cubana". After establishing that I didn't need anything to drink, I paid and retreated to a table to await the food. Upon delivery, I was greeted with a big sandwich on very fresh bread. Dont confuse this with a "Cuban sandwich" - it's really not, it's a totally different beast. Featuring beef milanesa, cheese, tomato, jalapeno, mayo and onion, it was a tasty sandwich. The bread was mild in flavor and really let the sandwich shine on contents. I applied some of the mild red salsa provided at the table, which added even more awesome flavor to the mix. The pupusa was nicely prepared, perhaps a little light on filling, but what was there was very nice. Shredded chicken and gooey cheese oozed out of it when cut, and the tortilla was just the right texture. Accompanying the sandwich was a nice but simple shredded cabbage slaw, that had a nice vinegar bite to it, and was very crisp. Although the sandwich was very good, I'd like to see more filling in this quite generous bread, but perhaps that's just a matter of preference. It was still a nice meal, and the price is definitely right. Bring your hotspot if you're going to bring your laptop as I did - there's no wifi here. Better still, just relax and eat your food. :)

Last night we were craving pupusas and all spots were closed- we called this spot and the gentleman who answered the phone said "we are closed but if you give me your order we will make it" (in Spanish). This is really above and beyond customer service especially since the other places had already told me no and hung up without thinking twice. We ordered pupusas, rice, beans and horchata. The pupusas were delicious and not too greasy like they normally are at other spots. The rice was the orange Mexican rice and it was wonderful, the beans were retried and everything was delicious! Our total for about 10 pupusas, rice, beans, and 2 huge horchata drinks was about $20. Talk about a bargain! This is seriously a hidden gem in Carrollton and well worth the visit!
