Tongue In Cheek Ice Cream

What a surprise! The outside of this place is not a good representation of what Tongue In Cheek has to offer.When my hubby chose this place I wasn't thrilled as I'm dairy free and most dairy free options are sherbet (bleck!) but I went along since the whole family was going. I was blown away! Not only was the inside spacious and clean but their non dairy options were impressive. I tasted a couple and settled on the chocolate. It was wonderful! Creamy, smooth and tasty. The sweet girl at the counter obliged our kids with samples and we all happily enjoyed our ice cream while swinging - YES they have swings inside!This a great place for families, a late night treat, lunch or just because!

So delicious!! We came in and got two medium icecream cups. The staff was very nice and helpful in choosing and trying the flavors. It's very clean inside and spacious with a good amount of seating available. I loved the two flavors I got in my medium cup (blueberry cheese cake and Caramel crack) highly reccomend these two flavors! How to order is pick a size or cone and then choose your flavors. You can choose different flavors in the same cup.

With the Texas heat and you want to take the family for some ice cream this is the place. The environment is cool. They also support Plano East Football Booster Club. Go support this business This is the spot if you want some amazing ice cream. I had the Carmel Crunch. This is a really neat ice cream shop. The service was amazing and it's very clean.

This place was the place to be on a Tuesday night!! Or any hot summer days probably.The store was popping when we came at 9 PM, and it's probably because of their amazing ice-cream. My sister has been fangirling about this place opening near us but I'm not a huge ice-cream fan so I didn't care much. The workers were friendly, and they have so many different flavors ranging from chocolate, creamy to fruity! I got their baby size, which is perfect for me. There were only two workers, but they moved fast and made sure everyone receive great customer service. I asked to sample some flavors despite the line, and they were nice about it. I love that they let me get 2 flavors for the baby cup, which isn't typical. My sister got the single and it was too much for her. They really do fill their cup up.The space was big, but there weren't many seats. They have some swing chairs dangling from the top, and regular tables. All the seats on the swing were taken so we just ate at a table. My sister told me it's not easy to sit on those because she fell last time she went, and to my surprise, I watched someone fell on their butt from trying to sit lmao. Asides from that, the flavors were good-- they're not too sweet or plain. It was perfectly in the middle with lots of chunks (I got butter pecan and caramel crack). Glad to support another local place in the area!

It's Tongue In Cheek, baby. It's the best ice cream around. Plano welcomes you with open arms. This location is much bigger and open than the Richardson location. The setup is more modern and illuminated, allowing more tables and seats. The swings here are interesting. They're so far from the table that no kid can eat their ice cream from the table. Even adults have to lean very forward to reach. They're also much higher. Is the design intended for young adults and not little kids? I can see the logic that this protects little ones from swinging right into the tables given they're hanging from a much taller ceiling than Richardson. As an adult, I like that I can swing now.

Delicious and creamy ice cream!!!!Greeted by friendly employees that explained the different sections of flavors. I had the cappuccino crunch and it was so good. I also tried the banana pudding and it tasted exactly like homemade banana pudding. Yum yum yum !

Big fan of this place! It was my first time at the Plano location and had a lot of fun. Love the amount of space inside and the "swings" in multiple places. Ice cream was great as always and even got to meet the owner! Will definitely be back:)

I came in yesterday specifically because of a promotion they were running to give 2022 graduates a free scoop if they brought in their graduation tassel. I did so, bringing in my class of 2022 college tassel, but they refused to honor the promotion, saying it only applied to highschool graduates, although the post they made about the promotion did not indicate that anywhere. Nothing turns me off from a business more than failure to honor their own promotions. The newly opened location is very spacious.

Disguised as a mediocre strip mall ice cream joint, hides this sassy gem. My daughters name popped up as one of the "names of the day" and that gets you one very generous scoop of free ice cream. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient with our sampling. Mmm, so many choices!! There were at least half a dozen dairy free options, which is awfully nice, don't you think? But we landed on cookies and cream. I've been thinking about it everyday since. Did I mention there were swings? My kid thought it was magical to eat ice cream inside while swinging.

So this ice cream truck came to my neighborhood and I was super excited to try it out. I had one scoop of the banana pudding ice cream and it was DELICIOUS!! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the texture was velvety smooth! I figured the vanilla wafers may be soggy, but surprisingly, they held up perfectly throughout the entire scoop and the slight crunch was on point!! This was the perfect treat for these blazing hot summer days. Absolutely would recommend and I look forward to trying other things on the menu!
