The TOT is a dive bar that's been around since Jesus was in diapers. It's got everything you need: pool tables, a shuffleboard table that's seen more action than a West Hollywood porn set, TVs for sports, and an electronic jukebox that blasts tunes so old they'd qualify for a senior discount at the music store.The heavily tattooed bartenders are like walking canvases of regrettable decisions, but damn, they're lovable as hell. You look at 'em, and you're like, "Did they fall into a vat of ink or what?" But they're the sweetest bunch of misfits you'll ever meet, and they sure know how to pour a drink. The relics on the walls are like the Smithsonian threw up in here, only with an inch of dust on everything. Faded photos, rusty beer signs, and s**t you can't even identify. You gotta wonder if they've been hanging on those walls since the dinosaurs roamed the earth. But hey, it adds character, right? It's like stepping into a time warp where everything's a little crusty but still full of charm. And a funky odor to match it all. And the crowd... it's like a freakin' United Nations meeting up in here. A living Benetton ad. You got locals from every age, race, sexual orientation, political party, and socioeconomic background, all rubbing shoulders and getting their drink on. It's like a melting pot of craziness, man. It's like the ultimate social experiment. But somehow, it works.So, if you're down for some down-and-dirty fun, the TOT is the spot. It's like a damn circus with alcohol, where the shuffleboard table is the main event and the electronic jukebox is the DJ of the night. Those tattooed bartenders might scare your grandma, but they'll treat you like family. And don't forget to take a good look at those walls, 'cause they've got more history than a Kanye West rant. One of the only few true dive bars left in Dallas. Very chill neighborhood vibe, affordable drinks. Also lots of TV's, great place to watch football.

Got there at 8 pm. Place was empty. March madness at a sports bar. 4 TVs - three of them on baseball. One on the UT basketball game. No sound. People kept coming in to watch the game... they'd have one drink - including us- and then they'd leave. I'm sure it's a great dive bar with overpriced drinks later in the evening (hence 3 stars), for a sports bar is it possible to give it less than one star??

The time out tavern has been a long time favorite of mine. Ive made good friends, had good times, and had some great drinks.

Thank god, a bar in Dallas I want to drink at. One of the only spots around worth going to.

Was** the best dive bar around, until they fired the best bartenders they ever had... that had been there for a longgggg time.. and now it's crap service and now one bartender drinks behind the bar and in the bathroom, and the other doesn't even say a word to you until you wave both hands in the air... never seen a place go from so good to so bad that quickly

Danny is the best!!! Sweetest bartender in Dallas. Super knowledgeable & will actually pay attention to you when you come to the bar. Great conversation & even more patience. Would recommend. 10/10.
