LocationJust off the 75 and walnut hill lane-Across from Trader Joe's. Parking Large lot, garageAtmosphereClassy sports barSeatingBar, high tops, booths, tables-good for groups.ServiceBrittany was AWESOME!!!MenuSo many choices! We had the burger sliders, bacon wrapped bar-b-que shrimp, and the california rolls. The sliders were the oerfect size-with pickles! California roll was a generous portion with ginger, wasabi, and slices of cucumber between sushi slices. The shrimp was bacon wrapped-both cooked well-juicy shrimp and bar b que bacon delish! 4 pieces-served with rice that was moiste and fluffy. There was a seasonal menu with yummy items. Nice margaritas and cocktails. Brunch menu looks inviting! SummaryConvenient location, outstanding service, clean and friendly-lots to offer on the menu-hard to choose. Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Easy and always good service. Pricing is a little high but the variety is good. The area is nice and has plenty to do. Very walkable and parking is so easy. Great bar and drink options.

I liked this place. It has a commanding presence in the small shopping center on the northwest quadrant of Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane. The inside is kind of an industrial feel with a black painted roof with exposed rafters and piping. I ordered the Gastropub Burger and a pint of the Pecan Porter which was decadent.Another thing the owners did which I appreciate is the $10.00 off mailer coupon. I used this and it makes a difference in this new reality of inflation we are all living through.

Only went here very late night for a drink and dessert but wanted to give them a shoutout anyway. Staff was super friendly despite how late we were going in. Since we couldn't decide on a dessert we ended up getting two and were not disappointed at all. I'd love to go back for happy hour or dinner, the bar area looked decent to me.

My mom lives maybe a mile away from this place and it's quickly become of our favorite choices for dinner, late snacks, and drinks. Lots of bar/drink options--everything is hand made and yummy. The food is quite delicious, too. We've had most of the appetizers and a handful of entrees--Brussels sprouts and beer cheese soup are a couple of our favorite things on the menu. Spinach artichoke dip is yummy as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is clean, comfortable and pleasant. The (sometimes retro) tunes playing are always fun, too. We sometimes sit there and try to guess the songs, occasionally resorting to Shazam. We've discovered a few new artists just from dining there! Overall, highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, or an evening outing.

OK so...if you just want to go here to get some drinks, I bet this place is amazing. But the food? Not so much. We got 3 dishes total including their "signature" BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp which took forever because, as we were informed, got burned the first time around. When we finally got it, it was room temperature and the shrimp was terrible. Too salty. Hubby got the jalapeño burger with fries and when I asked him if he was enjoying his food, his response was, "The fries are good". So the burger was below average. I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich and it lacked the flavor I look for in pulled pork. Very bland. Sorry to say, but the food was extremely sub-par. On a brighter note, the service was amazing. Our server was super sweet and did everything right. Also loved the ambiance and atmosphere. Summary: If you're looking for a pub to go have drinks? This would be a great place! But if you're hungry, there are better options around. We might be back for Wine Wednesday when all bottles are half-price but not for food.

This place rocks! An Upscale but still casual sports bar! Food is delicious, Drinks are yum!Scotch eggs: 5/5 perfect running yolk, and good seasoningBacon wrapped bbq prawns: 4/5 I got the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did. Not a fan of bbq sauce but my bf is. Ahi tuna Poke Stack: 4/5 I love the tuna and the marinade. Not in love with their rice though.... Feels a bit hard and clumpy. I'm picky with my rice ( I love a good fragrant rice)Passion fruit and mango agua fresca: I had to send it back cause it was too sour for me but they fixed it! Pretty good!Cast iron skillet Peach crumble: 3/5 it's a good peach cobbler but I feel it could have been better. I felt the vanilla ice cream wasn't rich enough. The crumble's really good, nice caramel sauce and peaches... the ice cream should have been better.

This was my second time to the Thirsty Lion for happy hour and it has been a great experience both times. The appetizers are always really fresh and come out quick. All the flavors are relatively mild. The drinks are pretty good, but nothing over the top. For the happy hour price, they are on point. The service is generally good, with occasional long waits for tables/ refills.

Located in the beautiful Preston Hollow area in Dallas, the Thirsty Lion Gastropub provides an excellent eatery with quality menu options. I really enjoyed the vibes of the place. It's what you expect from an American Gastropub with comfortable seating and an excellent open atmosphere that never invites the thought of claustrophobia. The menu provides excellent options that vary from your traditional American staples such as wings and burgers to really imaginative Asian options that definitely find a home at this restaurant. We arrived in time to catch in the final hour of happy hour (daily happy hour from 3-6). We're glad we did because the appetizers are excellent. Some of the things we ordered were the Ahi Poke Stack, crispy calamari, and creamy queso dip. The drinks that came with the happy hour menu were also very excellent and strong. I definitely felt it after 2 happy hour old fashioned cocktails, especially because never tasted watered down which I immensely appreciated. The main course appetizers however didn't rise to the occasion to deliver a perfect dining experience. Thankfully there were a variety of options that excited me for the thought of the next visit. Blackened Ribeye Steak- this is a spring menu exclusive that was served with a bourbon brown butter. There were two major glaring problems with the steak. About half of the steak was just fat and it was overly seasoned. There was just too much pepper on the steak and the fat was overwhelming. The star of the plate surprisingly was the seasonal vegetables! I've never had a more perfectly cooked vegetable side, even from five star restaurants. The snap peas were absolutely divine with a perfect crunch and freshness. If I could only order the side of the seasonal vegetables, I absolutely would. Spicy fried chicken sandwich - the breading on chicken was good however the bread was lackluster. The fries tasted exactly how they make them at Wingstop (this is a huge compliment, I love their fries) without the seasoning and their ranch is very creamy and delightful. Chicken Caesar salad- unfortunately it was overly dressed and completely drenched the salad and the extreme tartness that came from the dressing could not be rescued by the perfectly accompaniment of the crispy Parmesan crisps. The Korean inspired Gochujang bbq pork with kimchi fried was the clear winner of all the main entrees we ordered. The succulent meat with the perfectly balanced elements of the Korean flavors absolutely shined for the most enjoyable bite among all of the dishes. When it comes to Thirsty Lion Gastropub, this is a place that definitely needs to added on your radar when it comes to Happy Hour options with your friends. You'll enjoy the vibes and the food and you'll keep coming back for more. Also, I should mention that you don't ever need to worry about splitting the check or figuring out the awkward conversation of who ordered what to the waiter because they have the technology to be able to separate checks with ease and immediately pay with Apple or Google pay! You'll never have to wait for your card to come back again! Just pay and be on your way. I'm excited to venture and try the other menu options for future visits.

A group of us came here to grab dinner and catch the Super Bowl game - best decision ever! The hostess was amazing; since we got in pretty early, she gave us the best table to view the game from all angles. Their menu has several good options to choose from, but I went with the Tuscan Romano Chicken... and wow! The chicken and parmesan noodles were delicious and that Percorino Romano sauce was something sent from heaven. It brought the meal together and it was definitely the mvp of the night. I believe they have daily regular and reverse happy hours so you really have every reason to pop in.
